Surface reconstruction means that retrieve the data by scanning an object using a device such as laser scanner and construct it using the computer to gain back the soft copy of data on that particular object. It is a reverse process and is very useful especially when that particular object original data is missing without doing any backup. Hence, by doing so, the data can be recollected and can be stored for future purposes. The type of data can be in the form of structure or unstructured points. The accuracy of the reconstructed result should be concerned because if the result is incorrect, hence it will not exactly same like the original shape of the object. Therefore, suitable methods should be chosen based on the data used. Soft computing methods also have been used in the reconstruction field. This papers highlights the previous researches and methods that has been used in the surface reconstruction field.  相似文献

In this study, Artificial Neural Network (ANN) and Simulated Annealing (SA) techniques were integrated labeled as integrated ANN-SA to estimate optimal process parameters in abrasive waterjet (AWJ) machining operation. The considered process parameters include traverse speed, waterjet pressure, standoff distance, abrasive grit size and abrasive flow rate. The quality of the cutting of machined-material is assessed by looking to the roughness average value (Ra). The optimal values of the process parameters are targeted for giving a minimum value of Ra. It was evidence that integrated ANN-SA is capable of giving much lower value of Ra at the recommended optimal process parameters compared to the result of experimental and ANN single-based modeling. The number of iterations for the optimal solutions is also decreased compared to the result of SA single-based optimization.  相似文献

In this study, two computational approaches, Genetic Algorithm and Simulated Annealing, are applied to search for a set of optimal process parameters value that leads to the minimum value of machining performance. The objectives of the applied techniques are: (1) to estimate the minimum value of the machining performance compared to the machining performance value of the experimental data and regression modeling, (2) to estimate the optimal process parameters values that has to be within the range of the minimum and maximum coded values for process parameters of experimental design that are used for experimental trial and (3) to evaluate the number of iteration generated by the computational approaches that lead to the minimum value of machining performance. Set of the machining process parameters and machining performance considered in this work deal with the real experimental data of the non-conventional machining operation, abrasive waterjet. The results of this study showed that both of the computational approaches managed to estimate the optimal process parameters, leading to the minimum value of machining performance when compared to the result of real experimental data.  相似文献

Tungsten oxide (WO3) nano-ribbons (NRs) were obtained by annealing tungstite (WO3·H2O) NRs. The latter was synthesized below room temperature using a simple, environmentally benign, and low cost aging treatment of precursors made by adding hydrochloric acid to diluted sodium tungstate solutions (Na2WO4·2H2O). WO3 generates significant interests and is being used in a growing variety of applications. It is therefore important to identify suitable methods of production and better understand its properties. The phase transformation was observed to be initiated between 200 and 300 °C, and the crystallographic structure of the NRs changed from orthorhombic WO3·H2O to monoclinic WO3. It was rigorously studied by annealing a series of samples ex situ in ambient air up to 800 °C and characterizing them afterward. A temperature-dependent Raman spectroscopy study was performed on tungstite NRs between minus 180 and 700 °C. Also, in situ heating experiments in the transmission electron microscope allowed for the direct observation of the phase transformation. Powder X-ray diffraction, electron diffraction, electron energy-loss spectroscopy, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy were employed to characterize precisely this transformation.  相似文献

Mechanical properties of polypropylene–hydroxyapatite (PP–HA) bio-composites produced by hot press molding depend on different parameters, particularly the pressure and temperature of the hot pressing process. In this study, a mathematical models for the effects of the pressure and temperature of the hot pressing process on the mechanical properties of the polypropylene–hydroxyapatite composites is developed using a response surface methodology. Ultimate tensile strength, Young’s modulus and impact absorbed energy were target parameters of the formulas and the temperature and pressure of the hot pressing process were independent input parameters. Formulas were derived by a nonlinear regression analysis and then were refined at the end. The validity of the formulas was also verified by experimental data. It was found that the obtained results by the formulas are matched closely to the experimental results; and the formulas have adequate precision in the ranges of the experimental data. The maximum error that occurs for the calculated results by the formulas is about 7%. The effectiveness of the pressure and temperature of hot pressing process on the mechanical properties of the composites was investigated using sensitivity analyses of the formulas. It was found that the sensitivity of the mechanical properties with respect to pressure of hot pressing process is more than temperature. Furthermore, the ultimate tensile strength of the composites has most sensitivity respect to the pressure and temperature of the hot pressing process than other mechanical properties.  相似文献

Two conical double‐ridged horn (DRH) antennas for K and Ka frequency bands are presented. Detailed simulation and experimental investigations are conducted to understand their behaviors and optimize for broadband operation. The designed antennas were fabricated with 0.01 mm accuracy and satisfactory agreement of computer simulations and experimental results was obtained. The designed conical DRH antennas have voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) less than 2.1 and 2.2 for the frequency ranges of 18–26.5 GHz (K band) and 26.5–40 GHz (Ka band), respectively. Meanwhile, the proposed antennas exhibit low cross‐polarization, low sidelobe level, and simultaneously achieve slant polarization as well as symmetrical radiation patterns in the entire operating bandwidth. An exponential impedance tapering is used at the flare section of the horns. Moreover, a new cavity back with a conical structure is used to improve the VSWR. Numerous simulations via Ansoft HFSS and CST Microwave Studio CAD tools have been made to optimize the VSWR performance of the designed antennas. Simulation results show that the VSWR of the proposed antennas is sensitive to the probe spacing from the ridge edge and the cavity back structure. The designed conical DRH antennas are most suitable as a feed for the reflectors of radar systems and satellite applications. Results for VSWR, far‐field E‐plane and H‐plane radiation patterns, and gain of the designed antennas are presented and discussed. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
