ABSTRACT

A new approach of cloud point extraction CPE procedure is optimized for hexavalent chromium determination in airborne dusts. Triton X-114 is used as a surfactant and 1-(2-pyridylazo)-2-naphthol as a specific complexing agent for the trivalent chromium’s removal from the aqueous phase to isolate hexavalent chromium compounds. The parameters influencing the extraction protocol (pH, surfactant concentration, and temperature are optimized. The obtained detection and quantification limits are 0.1 and 0.4 μg/L, respectively. The linearity is verified, with a regression coefficient close to 0.999 and the extraction recovery exceeds 99%. The method was successfully applied to analyze airborne samples collected from workplaces.  相似文献

This paper presents a reliability analysis of the pseudo-static seismic bearing capacity of a strip foundation using the limit equilibrium theory. The first-order reliability method (FORM) is employed to calculate the reliability index. The response surface methodology (RSM) is used to assess the Hasofer–Lind reliability index and then it is optimized using a genetic algorithm (GA). The random variables used are the soil shear strength parameters and the seismic coefficients (kh and kv). Two assumptions (normal and non-normal distribution) are used for the random variables. The assumption of uncorrelated variables was found to be conservative in comparison to that of negatively correlated soil shear strength parameters. The assumption of non-normal distribution for the random variables can induce a negative effect on the reliability index of the practical range of the seismic bearing capacity.  相似文献

Polyphenol contents and 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl radical (DPPH) scavenging activity of cumin (Cuminum cyminum L.) seed extracts were compared depending on their geographical origin (Tunisia and India: TCS and ICS, respectively) and the extraction solvent polarity. The ??-carotene bleaching assay, the chelating ability and the reducing power of the most promising solvent extracts were also assessed. In addition, TCS and ICS extracts were acid-hydrolyzed and the phenolics identified by reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Seed phenolic contents and antioxidant activity appeared to be accession and solvent dependent. Extraction with 80% acetone led to the highest polyphenol (18.60 and 16.50?mg gallic acid equivalents (GAE)/g dry weight (DW)), flavonoid (5.91 and 4.99?mg catechin equivalents (CE)/g DW) and tannin (83.23 and 80.23?mg CE/g DW) contents, respectively for TCS and ICS. DPPH scavenging activity, ??-carotene bleaching assay, chelating ability and reducing power were maximal in 80% acetone for both TCS and ICS. HPLC analysis revealed several phenolic compounds in C. cyminum seeds, with p-coumaric (4.83 and 2.33?mg/g DW), trans-2-dihydrocinnamic (1.09 and 1.20?mg/g DW) and rosmarinic (0.70 and 1.04?mg/g DW) acids as major phenolics in TCS and ICS, respectively. Thus, phenolic composition of cumin seeds is also origin dependent. Taken together, our findings indicate that cumin might constitute a rich and novel source of natural antioxidants as food additives in food industry and that acetone 80% would be the most appropriate solvent for seed extraction.  相似文献

This work deals with the performances and responses of a grid-connected photovoltaic (PV) plant in normal and disturbed modes. The system is composed of a solar array, a dc–dc converter and a three-phase inverter connected to the utility grid. On the one hand a suitable control of the dc–dc converter is developed in order to extract the maximum amount of power from the PV generator. On the other hand an active and reactive power control approach (PQ) has been presented for the inverter. This method can provide a current with sinusoidal waveform and ensure a high power factor. Therefore, the grid interface inverter transfers the energy drawn from the PV into the grid by ensuring constant dc link voltage. Modeling and controlling were carried out using the informational graph of causality and the macroscopic energy representation methods. The simulation under MATLAB/SIMULINK and the experimental results show the control performance and dynamic behavior of grid-connected PV system in normal and disturbances modes.  相似文献

Wireless sensor network (WSN) based on IEEE 802.15.4 technology continues to gain considerable importance. The present work is based on this standard and a cluster tree network topology. This network is divided into many subgroups, each of which is characterized by its special IEEE parameters (beacon order [BO] and superframe order [SO]). A mathematical model for computing energy consumption was proposed to enable personal area network (PAN) coordinator to detect the current energy level in the battery. The proposed adaptive intervention is based on a comparison between the remaining energy and the diverse thresholds, which lead to an auto‐management of energy consumption. The steady growth in the size of textual document collections is a key progress-driver for modern information retrieval techniques whose effectiveness and efficiency are constantly challenged. Given a user query, the number of retrieved documents can be overwhelmingly large, hampering their efficient exploitation by the user. In addition, retaining only relevant documents in a query answer is of paramount importance for an effective meeting of the user needs. In this situation, the query expansion technique offers an interesting solution for obtaining a complete answer while preserving the quality of retained documents. This mainly relies on an accurate choice of the added terms to an initial query. Interestingly enough, query expansion takes advantage of large text volumes by extracting statistical information about index terms co-occurrences and using it to make user queries better fit the real information needs. In this respect, a promising track consists in the application of data mining methods to the extraction of dependencies between terms. In this paper, we present a novel approach for mining knowledge supporting query expansion that is based on association rules. The key feature of our approach is a better trade-off between the size of the mining result and the conveyed knowledge. Thus, our association rules mining method implements results from Galois connection theory and compact representations of rules sets in order to reduce the huge number of potentially useful associations. An experimental study has examined the application of our approach to some real collections, whereby automatic query expansion has been performed. The results of the study show a significant improvement in the performances of the information retrieval system, both in terms of recall and precision, as highlighted by the carried out significance testing using the Wilcoxon?test.  相似文献

A cracked plate subjected to a sinusoidal loading perpendicular to its plane is considered, and the analytical solution of the dynamic vibration behavior of a plate, which allowed the determination of the stress field near the crack tip, is developed. A mixed mode of loading near the crack tip has been established and described with dynamic stress intensity factors K I (z,t) and K II (z,t) associated with modes I and II crack openings, respectively. To validate the analytical results, a finite element analysis (FEA) of a 1 × 1 m square plate with a thickness of 1 cm, having a middle crack of 10 cm in length, is made. The results have shown significant agreement between analytical and FEA findings.  相似文献
