The purpose of this paper is to investigate the discrete collocation method based on moving least squares (MLS) approximation for Fredholm–Hammerstein integral equations. The scheme utilizes the shape functions of the MLS approximation constructed on scattered points as a basis in the discrete collocation method. The proposed method is meshless, since it does not require any background mesh or domain elements. Error analysis of this method is also investigated. Some numerical examples are provided to illustrate the accuracy and computational efficiency of the method.  相似文献

In this research, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) with excellent shape-memory effects is 4D printed via fused deposition modeling (FDM) technology. An experimental procedure for successful 3D printing of lab-made filament from PVC granules is introduced. Macro- and microstructural features of 3D printed PVC are investigated by means of wide-angle X-ray scattering (WAXS), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), and dynamic mechanical thermal analysis (DMTA) techniques. A promising shape-memory feature of PVC is hypothesized from the presence of small close imperfect thermodynamically stable crystallites as physical crosslinks, which are further reinforced by mesomorphs and possibly molecular entanglement. A detailed analysis of shape fixity and shape recovery performance of 3D printed PVC is carried out considering three programming scenarios of cold (Tg −45 °C), warm (Tg −15 °C), and hot (Tg +15 °C) and two load holding times of 0 s, and 600 s under three-point bending and compression modes. Extensive insightful discussions are presented, and in conclusion, shape-memory effects are promising,ranging from 83.24% to 100%. Due to the absence of similar results in the specialized literature, this paper is likely to fill a gap in the state-of-the-art shape-memory materials library for 4D printing, and provide pertinent results that are instrumental in the 3D printing of shape-memory PVC-based structures.  相似文献

OBJECTIVE: To report an unusual case of Whipple's disease, including uveitis, seronegative spondylarthropathy, meningitis, and lymphadenopathy, associated with an Arthrobacter sp. infection. DESIGN: Interventional case report. PATIENT AND INTERVENTION: A 60-year-old white man presenting with severe chronic uveitis and systemic inflammatory manifestations was treated efficiently for Whipple's disease after histopathologic analysis of vitreous and inguinal adenopathy biopsy specimens. The authors performed a retrospective, laboratory-based evaluation of stored tissue specimens. MEASUREMENTS: Molecular analysis based on 16S ribosomal RNA gene amplification was applied to pretreatment biopsy specimens of inguinal lymph node to identify a causative bacterial agent. RESULTS: Tropheryma whippelii genome was not detected in these specimens. However, an amplification product was obtained after the first polymerase chain reaction run and subsequently was sequenced. It corresponded to an Arthrobacter sp., a gram-positive agent presenting diagnostic patterns and therapeutic management similar to those of Whipple's disease caused by T. whippelii. CONCLUSION: The absence of T. whippelii identification by molecular amplification during a clinically and histologically oriented Whipple's syndrome should not rule out the diagnosis. Arthrobacter infection may represent a new bacterial etiology of systemic inflammatory disorders involving the eye and associated with periodic acid-Schiff-positive inclusions.  相似文献

This paper presents a new weighted fuzzy multi-objective model to integrated supplier selection, order quantity allocation and customer order scheduling problem to prepare a responsive and order-oriented supply chain in a make-to-order manufacturing system. Total cost and quality of purchased parts as well as the reliability of on-time delivery of customer orders are regarded as the objectives of the model. On the other hand, flexible suppliers can contribute to the responsiveness and flexibility of entire supply chain in the face of uncertain customer orders. Therefore, a mathematical measure is developed for evaluating the volume flexibility of suppliers and is considered as the other objective of the model. Furthermore, by considering the effect of interdependencies between the selection criteria and to handle inconsistent and uncertain judgments, a fuzzy analytic network process method is used to identify top suppliers and consider as the last objective. In order to optimise these objectives, the decision-maker needs to decide from which supplier to purchase parts needed to assemble the customer orders, how to allocate the demand for parts between the selected suppliers, and how to schedule the customer orders for assembled products over the planning time horizon. Numerical examples are presented and computational analysis is reported.  相似文献

Non-linear active control of dynamic response of functionally graded (FG) beams with rectangular cross-section in thermal environments exposed to blast loadings is presented. Two FG piezoelectric layers are bonded to the beam surfaces to act as sensor and actuator. Non-linear equations of motion of the smart beam are derived based on the first-order shear deformation theory and the von Karman geometrical non-linearity. Constant velocity feedback algorithm is used to control the dynamic response of the FG beam actively through closed loop control. The generalized differential quadrature method together with the Newmark-beta scheme is utilized to solve the non-linear partial differential equations in spatial and time domains. The resulted non-linear algebraic equations are then solved using the modified Newton–Raphson method. A detailed analysis of the influence of the geometric non-linearity, material parameters and temperature field on the active vibration control of FG beams subjected to various impulsive loads is carried out.  相似文献

The understanding of the interactions between nanomaterials and proteins is of extreme importance in medicine. In a biological fluid, proteins can adsorb and associate with nanoparticles, which can have significant impact on the biological behavior of the proteins and the nanoparticles. We report here on the interactions of iron saturated human transferrin protein with both bare and polyvinyl alcohol coated superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles (SPIONs). The exposure of human transferrin to SPIONs results in the release of iron, which changes the main function of the protein, which is the transport of iron among cells. After removal of the magnetic nanoparticles, the original protein conformation is not recovered, indicating irreversible changes in transferrin conformation: from a compact to an open structure.  相似文献

In this research, the corrosion resistance and adhesion property of a synthetic rubber-based primer reinforced with different ratios of micaceous iron oxide (MIO) pigments were studied. Coatings were applied on carbon steel panels and also on steel pipes of 219.1 mm outer diameter. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was used to investigate the dispersion of MIO particles in the rubbery matrix. The anticorrosion performance of the coatings was studied, using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and salt spray tests. In addition, the adhesion of primers to carbon steel substrates was evaluated by pull-off test. In order to investigate the effect of MIO particles on the flexibility of the pigmented primers, a cupping test was conducted. The adhesion of cold-applied tape to the formulated primers was assessed by peel adhesion test using hanging mass method. The results indicated that adding 5, 10, and 15 wt% of MIO pigments into the primer improved corrosion resistance of the coatings. An increase in the MIO loading up to 10 wt%, improved the adhesion of the primer to both steel substrate and cold-applied tape.  相似文献

Low cost and good properties of low carbon steels introduce this material suitable for a wide variety of industrial applications. Developing overlays cladding with desired properties on the surface of these steels seems to be the best way to increase the corrosion and wear resistances of low carbon steels. In the present research, the solidification sequence and the characteristics of Al base weld cladding on AISI 1006 substrate were studied. The optical and scanning electron microscopic studies revealed the formation of acicular-like intermetallic compounds in the clad overlayer. XRD phase analysis illustrated that the clad layer consisted of ordered Fe3Al and FeAl3 intermetallic compounds in the FeAl intermetallic matrix. The formation of these intermetallics in the Fe–Al overlayer cladding resulted in a significant improvement of hardness and oxidation resistance of Fe–Al cladded samples.  相似文献

In this article, the free vibration and dynamic response of simply supported functionally graded piezoelectric cylindrical panel impacted by time-dependent blast pulses are analytically investigated. Using Hamilton’s principle, the equations of motion based on the first-order shear deformation theory are derived. Also, Maxwell’s electricity equation is taken as one of the governing equations. Three sets of electric surface conditions including closed circuit and two mixtures of closed and open circuit surface conditions are considered. By introducing an analytical approach and using the Fourier series expansions, the Laplace transform and Laplace inverse method, the solution of unknown variables are obtained in the real time domain based on a combination of system frequencies. Finally, the effects of various electric surface conditions, geometric parameters and the material power law index on the free vibration and transient response of functionally graded piezoelectric cylindrical panels subjected to various impulsive loads are examined in detail.  相似文献
