We studied 722 reexcision scars of benign and malignant lesions (except melanocytic lesions) excised over a 24-month period. The formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections were examined histologically and immunohistochemically. The histological features of melanocytic hyperplasia were present in 59 cases (8%), 56 from the sun-exposed skin of the face and neck and three from the trunk [p < 0.00001]. The most common sites were the nose and lower eyelids, but the forehead was also frequently involved. Of the 59 patients, 41 were women (p < 0.0001). Basal cell carcinoma was the most frequent original lesion in both sexes (80%). No melanocytic hyperplasia was found in 663 cases (298 on the trunk and extremities and 365 on the head and neck). We have seen this reaction pattern following reexcision of melanocytic lesions as well. Thus, interpreting reexcision margins when lentigo maligna or similar lesions are reexcised may be fraught with difficulty. It is important for pathologists and dermatopathologists to recognize this phenomenon because histologically the presence of increased numbers of large melanocytes could be misinterpreted as melanoma in situ.  相似文献

Carbon black composites (CBCs) have been prepared by pyrolyzing mixture of a carbon black with polyfurfuryl alcohol and then pretreated by oxidation with nitric acid, gasification with water steam or ammoxidation. The effects of the chemical character of the carrier surface, nature of the active metal phase and pH value of the impregnation solution on the catalytic activity towards the hydrodesulfurization (HDS) of thiophene of the CBC supported Mo (Co) catalysts were determined. It was stated that the catalytic properties of the CBC supported sulfides of Mo or Co and of Mo carbides are affected by the chemical character of the carrier surface. Generally, catalysts supported over basic surface CBC exhibit higher activity than those ones supported over CBC possessing acidic surface character. Co catalysts supported on acidic surface show lower activity (per mol of active metal) than Mo based ones supported on the same carrier. In the case of catalysts supported on basic CBC, Co exhibits distinctly higher activity than Mo. At the experimental conditions adopted for this study, CBC surface properties, active phase nature, and catalyst impregnation pH were found to exert a relatively small influence on both HDS and hydrogenation activities.  相似文献

Ethylzinc(II ) ethoxide is a highly active and efficient initiator for the bulk polymerization of 1,3‐trimethylene carbonate and its copolymerization with ? ‐caprolactone. This initiator allows one to obtain (co)polymers with high molar masses in quite a short time. Significant difference in co‐monomer reactivity and relatively low participation of intermolecular transesterification processes lead to the obtained copolymers being characterized by a gradient chain microstructure. In 13C NMR spectra, in all regions, we observed the presence of triads which were distinctly represented by four peaks for the carbonyl signal. Mechanical tests showed that copolymers containing 70% and more of ? ‐caprolactone presented a relatively high Young's modulus and a very high maximum elongation factor; therefore these materials are promising in many biomedical applications. Due to the high reaction rate, we also made an attempt at copolymerization using reactive extrusion which gave promising results. © 2017 Society of Chemical Industry  相似文献

This paper deals with pool boiling of water–Al2O3 and water–Cu nanofluids on porous coated, horizontal tubes. Commercially available stainless-steel tubes having 10 mm outside diameter and 0.6 mm wall thickness were used to fabricate a test heater. Aluminum porous coatings 0.15 mm thick with porosity of about 40% were produced by plasma spraying. A smooth tube served as a reference tube. The experiments were conducted under different absolute operating pressures of 200 kPa, 100 kPa, and 10 kPa. Nanoparticles were tested at concentrations of 0.01%, 0.1%, and 1% by weight. In all cases tested, enhancement heat transfer was always observed during boiling of water–Al2O3 and water–Cu nanofluids on smooth tubes compared to boiling of distilled water. Contrary to smooth tubes, addition of even a small amount of nanoparticles resulted in deterioration of heat transfer during pool boiling of water–Al2O3 and water–Cu nanofluids on porous coated tubes in comparison with boiling of distilled water.  相似文献

Meckel's diverticulum is one of the primary concerns in the differential diagnosis of the pediatric patient with massive, acute gastrointestinal bleeding, intussusception, or abdominal pain of uncertain cause. The hospital course of two children with Meckel's diverticulum, successfully treated by laparoscopic excision, is presented, along with details of the operative procedure. Both patients recovered from the procedure without incident and were discharged at 24 and 48 hours after surgery. The authors believe a laparoscopic approach is safe and effective in the diagnosis and treatment of Meckel's diverticulum.  相似文献

An FTIR method was used to investigate the thermal cyclization process in synthesis of polyetherimidazopyrrolones from dietherdianhydrides and 3,3′-diaminobenzidine. It was concluded that the highest degree of cyclization to imidazopyrrolone structure is observed in the case of polymer with bisphenol A group having electron-donating character after dynamic heating, though for the all polyether-imides investigated even at 320°C cyclization are not complete.  相似文献

The effect of a Lewis acid addition to a coking coal on the porosity and reactivity towards steam of the resulting iron enriched coal chars are studied. GIC (FeCl3 graphite intercalation compound) or free FeCl3 are used as iron containing additives. Coal iron enrichment was performed using either directly FeCl3 in vapour phase, or by mixing of coal and additives in decaline or by common grinding of coal and additives under argon. Iron enriched coals were carbonized at 750°C (heating RATE = 5°C min) and activation made with pure steam at 800°C to a burn-off off of 50 wt%. The pore structures of coal chars before and after activation were evaluated on the basis of CO2 and C6H6 sorption at 25°C. A significant development of the microporosity is observed in the iron enriched char before activation and its steam reactivity is also increased. After activation, BET surface area values are increased in presence of iron, and porosity is mainly microporous.  相似文献

Formulation of the scale transition equations coupling the microscopic and macroscopic variables in the second‐order computational homogenization of heterogeneous materials and the enforcement of generalized boundary conditions for the representative volume element (RVE) are considered. The proposed formulation builds on current approaches by allowing any type of RVE boundary conditions (e.g. displacement, traction, periodic) and arbitrary shapes of RVE to be applied in a unified manner. The formulation offers a useful geometric interpretation for the assumptions associated with the microstructural displacement fluctuation field within the RVE, which is here extended to second‐order computational homogenization. A unified approach to the enforcement of the boundary conditions has been undertaken using multiple constraint projection matrices. The results of an illustrative shear layer model problem indicate that the displacement and traction RVE boundary conditions provide the upper and lower bounds of the response determined via second‐order computational homogenization, and the solution associated with the periodic RVE boundary conditions lies between them. The effect of facially applied air movement on perceived air quality (PAQ) at high humidity was studied. Thirty subjects (21 males and 9 females) participated in three, 3-h experiments performed in a climate chamber. The experimental conditions covered three combinations of relative humidity and local air velocity under a constant air temperature of 26 °C, namely: 70% relative humidity without air movement, 30% relative humidity without air movement and 70% relative humidity with air movement under isothermal conditions. Personalized ventilation was used to supply room air from the front toward the upper part of the body (upper chest, head). The subjects could control the flow rate (velocity) of the supplied air in the vicinity of their bodies. The results indicate an airflow with elevated velocity applied to the face significantly improves the acceptability of the air quality at the room air temperature of 26 °C and relative humidity of 70%.  相似文献
