Abstract The I-shaped cross-sectional beam of CFRP (CFRP I-beam) is usually manufactured by the continuous protrusion method. Carbon fibers can only be arranged in the longitudinal direction. The CFRP I-beam with arbitrary arrangement of carbon fiber was manufactured with applying the electro-activated deposition molding method. The carbon fiber fabric was immersed in the deposition solution and energized, epoxy resin precipitated around carbon fiber and impregnated. The resin-impregnated fabric was installed to the mold, and the CFRP I-beam was fabricated. The CFRP I-beam was subjected to three-point bending tests, and the relationship between load-deflection was simulated by finite-element analysis. 相似文献

Using conventional high‐temperature superconducting wire, a model superconducting fault current limiter (SFCL) is made and tested. Solenoid coil using Bi2223 silver sheath wire is so made that inductance is as small as possible and a vacuum interrupter is connected in series to it. A conventional reactor coil is connected in parallel. When the fault current flows in this equipment, superconducting wire is quenched and current is transferred into the parallel coil because of voltage drop of superconducting wire. This large current in parallel coil actuates magnetic repulsion mechanism of vacuum interrupter. Due to opening of vacuum interrupter, the current in superconducting wire is broken. By using this equipment, current flow time in superconducting wire can be easily minimized. On the other hand, the fault current is also easily limited by large reactance of parallel coil. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. We previously reported two cDNAs for MAP kinases (cATMPK1 and cATMPK2) from a dicot plant, Arabidopsis thaliana. We describe here the cloning and characterization of five additional cDNAs encoding novel MAP kinases in Arabidopsis, cATMPK3, cATMPK4, cATMPK5, cATMPK6, and cATMPK7. The amino acid residues corresponding to the sites of phosphorylation (Thr-Glu-Tyr) that are involved in the activation of animal MAP kinases are conserved in all the seven putative ATMPK proteins. Genes for MAP kinases in Arabidopsis constitute a family that contains more than seven members. Sequence analysis suggests that there are at least three subfamilies in the family of Arabidopsis genes for MAP kinases. 相似文献

In Caenorhabditis elegans, the vulval induction is mediated by tyrosine kinase receptor/Ras signal transduction pathway composed of the lin-3, let-23, and let-60 products. In addition to these gene products, the lin-2, lin-7, and lin-10 products are also implicated in this pathway. Lin-2 encodes a MAGUK and lin-7 encodes a small protein with one PDZ domain. The lin-10 product has no homology to known proteins. Here, we have cloned a rat homologue of the lin-10 product and characterized it. Rat lin-10 is ubiquitously expressed in various rat tissues and distributed in both the cytosol and membrane fractions. In brain, however, rat lin-10 is distributed only in the membrane fraction and enriched in the synaptic plasma membrane and postsynaptic density fractions. System monitoring and diagnosis through signal interpretation are important tasks in many engineering fields. Although monitoring or diagnosis expert systems help human experts a lot, it is not so easy to build a signal interpretation expert system. We have developed two expert systems for speech signal processing. The close analysis of the two systems revealed common functions and modules applicable to wide range of signal interpretation problems. On the basis of the experience, we have developed a shell for signal interpretation expert systems named SSI. In order to evaluate SSI, we also developed two expert systems by using it and obtained satisfactory results. This paper proposes a novel human-robot symbiosis system named a Robotic Office Room (ROR). The understanding, recording and retrieving of telephone call behavior are successfully demonstrated as a typical example of an office work-supporting function of ROR. A unique object model is proposed, which accumulates information concerning motion of the object. This model enables the system to understand human behavior, not by monitoring the motion of the human, but by monitoring the motion of the object-typically, a telephone or pen. Since the model requires the system to pay spatial and temporal attention only to the target object and related motions, it saves computing power. Repertoires of understandable behavior can easily be expanded by simply adding new object models. The ROR is equipped with networked machines. The concept of "ubiquitous link" consisting of unique image channels and remote control channels is proposed. The image channel and the remote control channel utilize TV images and either ultrasonic waves or infrared rays, respectively. Such cooperative support of humans by networked machines is realized that when a human starts to talk on the phone, the ROR not only starts to record the image of the human's behavior, utilizing a VCR, but also turns down the volume on an audio set. The experiment proved the feasibility of the ROR as an integrated robotic system to support human office work. 相似文献
