This paper is concerned with the implementation and experimental validation of a discrete-time model reference adaptive control strategy, known as Minimal Control Synthesis (MCS) algorithm. After discussing the proof of stability of the algorithm when applied to discretized models of continuous-time plants, the problem of controlling a highly nonlinear electro-mechanical device is taken as a representative case of study. It is shown that the discrete-time MCS is an effective strategy to solve the problem while guaranteeing robustness to unmodeled nonlinear dynamics over a wide range of test manoeuvres.  相似文献

Abstract

The delignification response in cooking and the impact of bleaching on earlywood and latewood were studied. Spruce earlywood and latewood chips were pulped by the kraft process and subsequently treated with one bleaching chemical at a time. In cooking, latewood required a higher alkali charge to reach the same kappa number. No difference in the light absorption coefficient between the different fiber types was observed. After oxygen delignification the earlywood fibers had a higher light absorption coefficient at the same kappa number. The difference in light absorbing material was maintained when bleaching was performed with chlorine dioxide, ozone, and peracetic acid. Hydrogen peroxide decreased the light absorbing structures in the earlywood to the same level as for latewood. The earlywood pulp had a higher brightness at a given kappa number than the latewood. The higher brightness remained through all bleaching operations and was primarily due to a higher light scattering ability.  相似文献

Network frequency variations cause a dramatic performance decay in repetitive controller‐based shunt active power filters. This problem may be solved by adapting the sampling period in order to keep the ratio between the network period and the sampling period at a constant value. However, these changes may yield closed‐loop instability. The introduction of a precompensator that forces the plant to remain invariant despite sampling rate changes allows the use of standard LTI methods in control design and stability analysis as well. Moreover, in order to improve robustness in the face of network frequency estimation uncertainty and sampling time quantization, the regular repetitive controller is replaced by a high order one. Experimental results show the validity of the proposal.  相似文献

This article presents a switched model reference adaptive controller for discrete‐time piecewise linear systems. In the spirit of the work by Landau in the late seventies, proof of asymptotic stability of the closed‐loop error system is obtained, recasting its dynamics as a feedback system and showing the feedforward and the feedback paths are both passive. The challenge is that both paths can be piecewise linear. Numerical results show excellent performance of the proposed controller even in the face of sudden variations of the plant parameters. Stable inversion plays a key role in the solution of the exact tracking control problem in nonminimum phase systems. However, the general methods developed so far for the computation of stable inverses require backwards time numeric integration of the internal dynamics equation, which yields high sensitivity to external disturbances and/or structured uncertainties. This article introduces an iterative technique that provides periodic, closed-form analytic expressions uniformly convergent to the exact periodic solution of a certain class of Abel ODE written in the normal form. The method is then applied to the output voltage tracking of periodic references in DC–DC boost power converters through a state feedback indirect control scheme. The procedure lies on a number of assumptions for which sufficient conditions involving system parameters and reference candidates are derived. It also allows one to attenuate the effect of bounded, piecewise constant load disturbances using dynamic compensation. Simulation results validate the proposed algorithm.  相似文献

The achievement of step‐up inversion with a boost DC/AC converter requires appropriate periodic references for inductor currents, which have to satisfy ordinary differential equations (ODE) of the Abel type. These are equations with highly unstable solutions for which the existence of periodic solutions remains unproved. Hence, the studies reported so far in this subject obtain periodic output voltages that approximately track the expected profile using different periodic current references that do not exactly satisfy the Abel ODE. However, neither an explanation of why are periodic output voltages still obtained, nor an assessment of the output voltage error is provided. This paper analyzes the effect of using periodic current references in a Lyapunov‐based controlled boost DC/AC converter performing step‐up inversion tasks. It is shown that, for sufficiently accurate current references, the system exhibits asymptotically stable periodic solutions with bounded error. Moreover, the paper propounds the use of Harmonic Balance (HB)‐based techniques to obtain such current references. Simulation and experimental results confirm that this choice yields periodic output voltages with an error that may be lowered using higher HB approximations. Frequency variations in the electrical network may cause a dramatic performance decay in repetitive controlled active filters intended to remove odd-harmonic distortion in single-phase AC loads. This work presents an odd-harmonic repetitive controller for a shunt active power filter that addresses such a performance problem. This is achieved by means of an adaptive change of the sampling period of the digital controller. However, this action implies structural changes that may result in an overall destabilization of the closed-loop system. Hence, a small-gain theorem-based robust control design technique allows to obtain a controller which assures BIBO stability in the required sampling period interval. Output voltage control of nonlinear DC‐to‐DC power converters is handicapped by the non‐minimum phase character exhibited by these systems. The problem has been usually solved with indirect control strategies that work through the input current. In this article, we report a robust control methodology that uses Galerkin‐based sliding manifolds, which use full state reference profiles and an estimate of the disturbed load parameter. The sliding surface incorporates a first‐order Galerkin approximation of the input current that provides robustness to piecewise constant load perturbations by dynamic compensation: it allows on‐line accommodation to the action of the load estimator. This results in high‐accuracy tracking of periodic references at the output resistance of boost and buck‐boost converters. Copyright © 2006 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

In this paper we propose a sliding mode control scheme that allows robust control of the output voltage in a class of non-linear switched converters that includes the non-inverting buck-boost, the Watkins–Johnson and the inverse of Watkins–Johnson. Using a full-state reference profile-based sliding surface, periodic signals may be tracked by the output voltage under appropriate restrictions. Furthermore, semi-infinite programming techniques are used to minimize power loses while taking into account the existence of load perturbations. The procedure consists of choosing a reference signal for the inductor current with minimum root mean square, subject to the maintenance of sliding regime under possible load variation in a set with known bounds. Realistic simulation results show a highly robust performance in the presence of load disturbances.  相似文献
