Known methods of calculating the required compositions of pitch-coke mixtures in producing large graphitized electrodes are not widely used [1, 2]. This may be attributed to the multivariance of the problem, the probabilistic character of the technological operations, the lack of well-founded optimization criteria, and the sensitivity of the characteristics of the product to variation in the parameters of the initial materials and their ratios in the mixture. The only means of solving the problem is physical modeling, taking account of current computer capabilities.  相似文献

High cyclic fatigue (HCF) behavior of an AA2139 alloy belonging to Al–Cu–Mg–Ag system in T6 and T840 conditions was examined. The T840 treatment involving cold rolling with a 40% reduction prior to peak ageing provides an increase in tensile strength compared with the T6 condition. However, fatigue lifetime for two material conditions was nearly the same since there is weak effect of thermomechanical processing on micro-mechanisms of crack initiation and growth.  相似文献

A parallel implementation of the projector augmented plane wave (PAW) method with the applications to several transition metal complexes is presented. A unique aspect of our PAW code is that it can treat both charged and neutral cluster systems. We discuss how this is achieved via accurate numerical treatment of the Coulomb Green's function with free space boundary conditions. The strategy for parallelizing the PAW code is based on distributing the plane wave basis across processors. This is a versatile approach and is implemented using a parallel three-dimensional Fast Fourier Transformation (FFT). We report parallel performance analysis of our program and of the three-dimensional FFT's and discuss large-scale parallelization issues of the PAW code. Using a series of transition metal monoxides and dioxides, as well as two iron aqueous complexes, it is shown that a free space PAW code can give structural parameters and energies in good accord with Gaussian based methods.  相似文献

Some epimeric 20-hydroxy, 20-oxime, 16 alpha, 17 alpha-, 17,20- and 20,21-aziridine derivatives of progesterone were synthesized and evaluated as inhibitors of human 17 alpha-hydroxylase/C17,20-lyase (P450(17) alpha) and 5 alpha-reductase (5 alpha-R). The reduction of 16-dehydropregenolone acetate (3a) was reinvestigated. NaBH4 in the presence of CeCl3 gave better stereo-selectivity for 20 beta-ol [20 alpha/20 beta-OH (4 alpha/4 beta) = 1/2.7] than LTBAH or the Meerwein-Pondroff method reported; reduction with Zn in HOAc formed exclusively 20 alpha-ol (4 alpha b). The 20 alpha- and 20 beta-hydroxy-4,16-pregnadien-3-one (9 alpha) and (9 beta) were synthesized from the alcohols 4 alpha b and 4 beta b. Several 20-oxime pregnadienes and 16 alpha, 17 alpha-, 17,20- and 20,21-aziridinyl-5-pregnene derivatives were also synthesized. LiAlH4 reduction of the 16-en-20-oxime (12b) yielded 20 (R)-(13a) and 20(S)-17 alpha,20-aziridine (13b) and 20(R)-17 beta,20-aziridine (14a). Several compounds inhibited the human P450(17) alpha with greater potency than ketoconzole. The 5 alpha-R enzyme assay showed that while (9 alpha) did not have any activity, (9 beta) and (3b) were potent 5 alpha-reductase (IC50 = 21 and 31 nM) inhibitors with activities similar to finasteride. The 20-oximes (17a) and (17b) were potent dual inhibitors for both 5 alpha-R (IC50 = 63 and 115 nM, compared to 33 nM for finasteride) and P450(17) alpha (IC50 = 43 and 25 nM, compared to 78 nM for ketoconazole).  相似文献

Selection of equipment for construction projects, a key factor in the success of the project, is a complex process. Current models offered by the literature fail to provide adequate solutions for two major issues: the systematic evaluation of soft factors, and the weighting of soft benefits in comparison with costs. This paper presents a selection model based on analytic hierarchy process (AHP), a multiattribute decision analysis method, with a view to providing solutions for these two issues. The model has the capacity to handle a great number of different criteria in a way that truly reflects the complex reality, to incorporate the context and unique conditions of the project, and to allow for manifestation of user experience and subjective perception. The model was implemented in an in-house developed system that was improved and validated through testing by senior professionals. The main academic contribution of the study is in the modification of AHP to correspond with the nature of equipment selection and in its utilization as an effective means for the formalization of knowledge possessed by competent, experienced practitioners. On the practical side, the proposed model offers an efficient, convenient tool that forces the users into orderly, methodical thinking, guides them in making logical, consistent decisions, and provides a facility for all necessary computations.  相似文献

Broccoli and green asparagus were cooked using boiling water, steam, microwave oven and combi oven with overheated steam and combination of hot air with overheated steam (only broccoli). Vegetables were analysed for chlorophylls a and b, carotenoids, total polyphenols, antioxidant activity, colour parameters and sensory properties. Cooking in the combi oven with overheated steam was an effective method to achieve the highest levels of polyphenols and antioxidant activity, but it negatively influenced the contents of chlorophylls in both vegetables and carotenoids in asparagus. Boiling and cooking in the combi oven with overheated steam or hot air and steam ensured the best and comparable sensory properties of broccoli. Asparagus showed a lower susceptibility to heat treatments than broccoli as none of the treatments applied caused significant differences in colour redness and yellowness, polyphenol content and sensory properties of this vegetable.  相似文献

The task of segmentation of brain regions affected by ischemic stroke is help to tackle important challenges of modern stroke imaging analysis. Unfortunately, at the moment, the models for solving this problem using machine learning methods are far from ideal. In this paper, we consider a modified 3D UNet architecture to improve the quality of stroke segmentation based on 3D computed tomography images. We use the ISLES 2018 (Ischemic Stroke Lesion Segmentation Challenge 2018) open dataset to train and test the proposed model. Interpretation of the obtained results, as well as the ideas for further experiments are included in the paper. Our evaluation is performed using the Dice or f1 score coefficient and the Jaccard index. Our architecture may simply be extended to ischemia segmentation and computed tomography image identification by selecting relevant hyperparameters. The Dice/f1 score similarity coefficient of our model shown 58% and results close to ground truth which is higher than the standard 3D UNet model, demonstrating that our model can accurately segment ischemic stroke. The modified 3D UNet model proposed by us uses an efficient averaging method inside a neural network. Since this set of ISLES is limited in number, using the data augmentation method and neural network regularization methods to prevent overfitting gave the best result. In addition, one of the advantages is the use of the Intersection over Union loss function, which is based on the assessment of the coincidence of the shapes of the recognized zones.  相似文献

The Hopfield network is a form of recurrent artificial neural network. To satisfy demands of artificial neural networks and brain activity, the networks are needed to be modified in different ways. Accordingly, it is the first time that, in our paper, a Hopfield neural network with piecewise constant argument of generalized type and constant delay is considered. To insert both types of the arguments, a multi-compartmental activation function is utilized. For the analysis of the problem, we have applied the results for newly developed differential equations with piecewise constant argument of generalized type beside methods for differential equations and functional differential equations. In the paper, we obtained sufficient conditions for the existence of an equilibrium as well as its global exponential stability. The main instruments of investigation are Lyapunov functionals and linear matrix inequality method. Two examples with simulations are given to illustrate our solutions as well as global exponential stability.

Genetically encoded probes have become powerful tools for non-invasive monitoring of ions, distributions of proteins and the migration and formation of cellular components. We describe the functional expression of two molecular probes for non-invasive fluorescent monitoring of intracellular Cl ([Cl]i) and the functioning of glycine receptor (GlyR) channels. The first probe is a recently developed cyan fluorescent protein-yellow fluorescent protein-based construct, termed Cl-Sensor, with relatively high sensitivity to Cl (Kapp approximately 30mM). In this study, we describe its expression in retina cells using in vivo electroporation and analyse changes in [Cl]i at depolarization and during the first three weeks of post-natal development. An application of 40mM K+ causes an elevation in [Cl]i of approximately 40mM. In photoreceptors from retina slices of a 6-day-old rat (P6 rat), the mean [Cl]i is approximately 50mM, and for P16 and P21 rats it is approximately 30-35mM. The second construct, termed BioSensor-GlyR, is a GlyR channel with Cl-Sensor incorporated into the cytoplasmic domain. This is the first molecular probe for spectroscopic monitoring of the functioning of receptor-operated channels. These types of probes offer a means of screening pharmacological agents and monitoring Cl under different physiological and pathological conditions and permit spectroscopic monitoring of the activity of GlyRs expressed in heterologous systems and neurons.  相似文献
