Beneficial effects of dietary phytic acid (myo-inositol hexaphosphate; IP6) have often been explained by its strong iron ion-chelating ability, which possibly suppresses iron ion-induced oxidative damage in the gastrointestinal tract. Because phytic acid is hydrolyzed during digestion, this work aimed to know whether its hydrolysis products (IP2′ IP3′, IP4′ and IP5) could still prevent iron ion-induced lipid peroxidation. Studies using liposomal membranes demonstrated that hydrolysis products containing three or more phosphate groups are able to inhibit iron ion-induced lipid peroxidation although their effectiveness decreased with dephosphorylation. Similarly, they also prevented iron ion-induced decomposition of phosphatidylcholine hydroperoxide. These results demonstrate that intermediate products of phytic acid hydrolysis still possess iron ion-chelating ability, and thus they can probably prevent iron ion-induced lipid peroxidation in biological systems.  相似文献

A novel fabrication route to make macroporous silicon carbide (SiC) has been proposed in this study. The route is composed of the following two steps: the fabrication of porous α‐SiC/novolac‐type phenolic composite using hexamethylenetetramine (HMT) as a curing/blowing agent for the novolac monomer and a conventional reaction‐bonded (RB) sintering of the composite. The α‐SiC/novolac‐type phenolic composite was carbonized at 800°C for 2 h in N2 gas and then reacted with the molten silicon at 1450°C for 30 min under vacuum, resulting in the macroporous RB‐SiC with an open porosity of 48% and relatively large pore size of ~110 μm. The compressive strength of the macroporous RB‐SiC was 113 MPa, which is relatively high compared to those reported for macroporous SiC of equivalent porosities and pore sizes.  相似文献

The formation process of hollow spheres composed of nanosized Ca-α SiAlON particles was investigated using SiO2 starting powders with different characteristics in particle size, shape and crystalline state. TEM observations showed Ca-α SiAlON hollow spheres composed of a large number of nanosized particles in the products prepared at 1450 °C for 120 min in nitrogen. In all systems, the Ca-α SiAlON hollow spheres were always produced through an intermediate Si–Al–Ca–O liquid phase in the same mechanism, regardless of the characteristics of SiO2 starting powders used. Spherical solid particles consisted of amorphous phase containing Si, Al, Ca, O and a small amount of N were generated at the initial stage of carbothermal reduction–nitridation. These spherical solid particles changed into hollow particles with the progression of the reaction from the liquid phase to the crystalline Ca-α SiAlON with increasing temperature.  相似文献

Abstract— A new light‐collection optics has been developed that enhances the luminance of projection TV which use lamps as the light source. The conventional optical system consists of an elliptical reflector and a flat‐surface front glass, but these systems cannot sufficiently collect the beams coming from the light source, and they cause loss in the coupling with the light pipe. To solve this problem, we devised a new optical system through a structure of an aspherical reflector and an aspherical front glass. This new optical system concentrates the beams coming from the light source to a smaller point which improves the coupling efficiency. Thus, we have successfully increased the luminance of the projection TV by approximately 10%. This paper reports the design principles of the new optical system and the results of a prototype experiment.  相似文献

We describe a technique, simpler than earlier ones, for using SPICE in the computation of the 1/f, step, and delta noise indices of linear and time-valiant filters. The method is based on obtaining a weighting function from the results of simulation and is demonstrated for triangular and trapezoidal shapers. The results are compared with those obtained by direct calculation. The greatest discrepancies occur when the method is applied to gated integrators, but the errors are probably due to artifacts not related to the basic method described here  相似文献

Bovine beta-lactoglobulin (BLG) variant A has been expressed in the methylotropic yeast Pichia pastoris by fusion of the cDNA to the sequence coding for the alpha-mating factor prepro-leader peptide from Saccharomyces cerevisiae. P. pastoris Mut+ transformants were obtained by single cross-over integration of the BLG-containing vector into the AOX1 locus. In a fed-batch fermenter, a cell density of approximately 300 mg/ml was achieved by controlled glycerol feeding for a total of 24 h. After 72 h of methanol induction, the secreted BLG reached levels of > 1 g/l. The secreted protein could be purified to homogeneity by ion-exchange chromatography. Amino-terminal sequencing of the secreted BLG revealed that the Glu-Ala spacer repeats inserted between the mature protein and the alpha-factor prepro-leader were still present. The purified protein was characterized by a number of methods, including CD spectroscopy, guanidine-HCl unfolding, crystallization and two-dimensional 1H-NMR spectroscopy. By all of these measures, the physical characteristics of recombinant BLG were indistinguishable from those of the native purified bovine BLG, making it useful as a model for protein folding and other biophysical studies.  相似文献

ZrB2–SiC composites were prepared by spark plasma sintering (SPS) at temperatures of 1800–2100 °C for 180–300 s under a pressure of 20 MPa and at higher temperatures of above 2100 °C without a holding time under 10 MPa. Densification, microstructure and mechanical properties of ZrB2–SiC composites were investigated. Fully dense ZrB2–SiC composites containing 20–60 mass% SiC with a relative density of more than 99% were obtained at 2000 and 2100 °C for 180 s. Below 2120 °C, microstructures consisted of equiaxed ZrB2 grains with a size of 2–5 μm and α-SiC grains with a size of 2–4 μm. Morphological change from equiaxed to elongated α-SiC grains was observed at higher temperatures. Vickers hardness of ZrB2–SiC composites increased with increasing sintering temperature and SiC content up to 60 mass%, and ZrB2–SiC composite containing 60 mass% SiC sintered at 2100 °C for 180 s had the highest value of 26.8 GPa. The highest fracture toughness was observed for ZrB2–SiC composites containing 50 mass% SiC independent of sintering temperatures.  相似文献

Ca-α SiAlON powders were prepared by carbothermal reduction-nitridation of CaO-Al2O3-SiO2 glasses at 1450 °C for 2 h in nitrogen. The content of Ca-α SiAlON phase was 65-81% in the products, and the other phases were AlN and β-SiAlON. The products contained hollow spheres with the size of around 5 μm in diameter. The particle morphology was almost identical to that of Ca-α SiAlON prepared from CaCO3-Al2O3-SiO2 powder mixtures.  相似文献

The design and test of an X-band monolithic four-stage low-noise amplifier (LNA) with 0.5 μm-gate pulse-doped GaAs MESFETs for application in a direct broadcast satellite (DBS) converter is presented. The key feature of the research is a detailed demonstration of the advantages of using series feedback with experiments and simulations. This LNA shows an excellent input VSWR match under 1.4 as well as a noise figure of 1.67 dB and a gain of 24 dB at 12 GHz. The noise figure, the gain and VSWRs exhibit very little bias current dependence due to the exceptional features of the pulse-doped structure FETs and the optimized circuit design. Insensitivity to bias current implies performance stability in the face of process fluctuations. Thus, the yield of chips with noise figures of less than 2.0 dB is as high as 62.5%, and the variations of gain and VSWR are highly uniform as well  相似文献

In recent years, intelligent industrial systems and consumer electronic products are widely and intensively developed. Fuzzy logic, neural network, and neuro & fuzzy technology which integrates these approaches are now regarded as an effective method to realize such intelligent features. Furthermore, a novel paradigm, “chaos engineering”, is now expected to be another key technology for various applications such as nonlinear prediction of time series, diagnosis for complex systems and comfortable home appliances. In this paper, a review of the fuzzy boom in consumer electronics market in Japan is presented, and the research projects, developing tools, and applications by Sanyo Electric Co. Ltd concerning fuzzy logic, neural network, and chaos technology, are described.  相似文献
