Tight frequency-to-amplitude relationships are observed in spontaneous human steady gait. If required, however, they can be modified. The following experiments were aimed at the processes underlying this flexibility, which forms the fundamental basis of the intentional adaptive capabilities of locomotion. In Exp 1, Ss had to intentionally modify the frequency-to-amplitude relationship (leading to preferred or nonpreferred steady states). In Exp 2, they had to temporarily perturbate the stride-frequency-to-amplitude relationship to intentionally shorten or lengthen 1 stride. Within the important constraints exerted by the head–arm–trunk system on leg movement, the results pointed out 2 main strategies that allow the S to intentionally adapt stride organization on-line: adjustment of the tonic properties of the oscillating leg to achieve nonpreferred steady states and phasic action to ensure temporary movement away from a steady state. Three-dimensional Fast Fourier Transforms (FFTs) are the main computational task in plane wave electronic structure calculations. Obtaining a high performance on a large numbers of processors is non-trivial on the latest generation of parallel computers that consist of nodes made up of a shared memory multiprocessors. A non-dogmatic method for obtaining high performance for such 3-dim FFTs in a combined MPI/OpenMP programming paradigm will be presented. Exploiting the peculiarities of plane wave electronic structure calculations, speedups of up to 160 and speeds of up to 130 Gflops were obtained on 256 processors.  相似文献

The autocorrelation functions and corresponding relaxation times obtained from the forward depolarized quasi-elastic light scattering experiment are exhibited for two quite similar models of flexible polymer chains in solution. A very small change in the chain dynamics is found to be sufficient to change the relaxation time from a relatively short time independent of chain length, with an autocorrelation function suggestive of an unweighted sum of contributions from all the relaxation times in the spectrum of chain motion, to a long time with an autocorrelation function identical with that for the end-to-end vector, strongly dependent upon chain length and dominated by the longest relaxation time in the spectrum. These results raise the question whether widely-used models in which information about short-range chain structure and motion is deliberately omitted can be expected to be appropriate for the interpretation of depolarized scattering experiments.  相似文献

The conversion of low frequency noise into phase noise in microwave oscillators is studied through an analytical calculation of the pushing factor. This calculation is based on a simplified equivalent circuit for two types of active devices : field effect transistors (Fet) and heterojunction bipolar transistors (hbt). The preeminence in the conversion process of the gate- source capacitance in theFet and the base- emitter junction in thehbt is pointed out. Practical methods are proposed to reduce the phase noise in these circuits.  相似文献

Corrected versions of the numerically invariant expressions for the affine and Euclidean signature of a planar curve introduced by Calabi et al. in (Int. J. Comput. Vision, 26: 107–135, 1998) are presented. The new formulas are valid for fine but otherwise arbitrary partitions of the curve. We also give numerically invariant expressions for the four differential invariants parameterizing the three dimensional version of the Euclidean signature curve, namely the curvature, the torsion and their derivatives with respect to arc length.  相似文献

This includes necessary and sufficient conditions for stability and controllability, as well as establishing that controllability implies stabilizability by piecewise-linear state feedback. The geological repository of nuclear waste in concrete containers is a possible storage method explored by ANDRA (Agence Nationale pour la gestion des Déchets RadioActifs). The concrete must display a high confinement capacity for long periods, characterized by low transport properties and by the acido-basic buffer of hydrated cement. During service life, these properties can be endangered by chemical attack of underground water. The cement type has an important influence on the concrete's performances. Then, it is essential to establish appropriate mixtures with accurate components. In this work an ordinary Portland cement and a fly ash and blast furnace slag blended cement are compared. To determine confinement capacities, transfer properties and mortars microstructure were investigated. To predict the long term behaviour, an ammonium nitrate test has been developed to enhance decalcification and to accelerate hydrolysis of cementitious materials. Measurement of degraded depth with time regarding calcium content was carried out. Impact of decalcification on transport properties was evaluated. Fly ash and blast furnace slag provide better properties for native mortars, and more particularly diffusion properties, but not as much as necessary to limit leaching in degraded material by chemical attack.  相似文献

Numerous papers have already reported various results on electrical and optical performances of GaAs‐based materials for optoelectronic applications. Other papers have proposed some methodologies for a classical estimation of reliability of GaAs compounds using life testing methods on a few thousand samples over 10 000 hours of testing. In contrast, fewer papers have studied the complete relation between degradation laws in relation to failure mechanisms and the estimation of lifetime distribution using accelerated ageing tests considering a short test duration, low acceleration factor and analytical extrapolation. In this paper, we report the results for commercial InGaAs/GaAs 935 nm packaged light emitting diodes (LEDs) using electrical and optical measurements versus ageing time. Cumulative failure distributions are calculated using degradation laws and process distribution data of optical power. A complete methodology is described proposing an accurate reliability model from experimental determination of the failure mechanisms (defect diffusion) for this technology. Electrical and optical characterizations are used with temperature dependence, short‐duration accelerated tests (less than 1500 h) with an increase in bias current (up to 50%), a small number of samples (less than 20) and weak acceleration factors (up to 240).
