Investigations were made of varistor microstructure, the morphology of Bi2O3 at multiple ZnO grain junctions, Bi2O3/ZnO grain boundaries and ZnO/ZnO grain boundaries (especially whether Bi2O3 is present or not at the ZnO/ZnO grain boundary) by means of high-resolution transmission electron microscopy and X-ray microanalysis in the scanning transmission electron microscope. Bi2O3 at multiple ZnO grain junctions consists of small particles of 0.1m in diameter, and they are vitrified to some extent. It is suggested that bismuth ions dissolve into ZnO grains over a 30 nm range from a Bi2O3/ZnO grain boundary; however, there is no bismuth at ZnO/ZnO grain boundaries.  相似文献

A preliminary attempt at experimental induction of pulmonary fibrosis in which male ICR mice received 15 weekly sc injections of 200 or 100 mg/kg monocrotaline (MC) revealed that most animals treated with the larger dose died of severe interstitial pneumonia, whereas those given 100 mg/kg exhibited only relatively slight lung injury. Based on these results, male mice were administered sc injections of 200 and 100 mg/kg MC once a week for 9 and 18 times, respectively, and then maintained without any further treatment until week 28 after the start. Mice treated with 200 mg/kg MC showed severe pulmonary damage and died by week 25. Mortalities also occurred in the 100-mg group from week 16, with 11 of 40 animals surviving at the termination of the experiment. Histologically, both dose groups demonstrated severe interstitial pneumonia and/or pulmonary fibrosis. Ultrastructurally, inflammatory edema possibly attributable to injuries of alveolar capillary endothelial cells was observed in the high-dose group at week 8, and there was a remarkable increase in collagen fibers in alveolar septa in this group thereafter. The present study results suggest that lung injuries induced by MC treatment progress to irreversible lung fibrosis and that this animal model may have advantage for studying the pathogenesis of lung cancers in patients with pulmonary fibrosis.  相似文献

To clarify the effects of purple corn color, enzymatically modified isoquercitrin (EMIQ), and isoquercitrin (IQ), registered as natural food additives in Japan, on liver carcinogenesis in vivo, a medium-term bioassay was employed. A total of 100 male F344 rats were divided into 5 groups; groups 1 to 4 were given a single intraperitoneal injection of diethylnitrosamine (200 mg/kg b.w.) on day 1. From weeks 2 to 8, they were administered basal diet purple corn color, EMIQ, or IQ as containing test chemicals at doses of 1.0% (groups 1 and 5), 0.1% (group 2), 0.01% (group 3), or 0% (group 4) (experiments 1, 4, and 5). All rats were subjected to two-thirds partial hepatectomy at week 3 and were sacrificed at week 8. Purple corn color exerted no significant modifying effects on GST-P positive foci, preneoplastic foci, development in the liver. However, serum of rats treated with purple corn color provided evidence of antioxidant power significantly by potential antioxidant (PAO) test in vivo (experiment 2). And microarray analyses showed purple corn color to induce RNA expression such as P450 (cytochrome) oxidoreductase, phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase, and phospholipase A2 (experiment 3). Higher doses of EMIQ or IQ with strong antioxidant power in vivo by PAO test treated groups were correlated with smaller numbers of GST-P positive foci, with Spearman's rank correlation coefficients of P= 0.002 and P= 0.049, respectively (experiments 4 and 5). Therefore, the tested food additives may be effective as antioxidants in vivo and have chemopreventive potential against liver preneoplastic lesion development.  相似文献

A calculation model on intergranular stress corrosion cracking (IGSCC) initiation time of materials used in boiling water reactors (BWRs) has been developed to evaluate effectiveness of water chemistry control for mitigation of the IGSCC. The model was composed of four terms which determine passive film break time: (1) a chemical term based on electrochemical corrosion potential (ECP) and impurity concentration; (2) a mechanical term based on strain rate; (3) a material term based on sensitization; and (4) an irradiation term based on acceleration of corrosion by γ-rays and neutron irradiation. The contribution of the chemical term in the passive film break was calculated based on a deterministic local corrosion model. Then, the local corrosion model was modified by adding mechanical acceleration of the film rupture to treat the IGSCC phenomenon. The model could reproduce the behavioral tendency seen in the slow strain rate tensile test on high carbon contents with sensitization heat treatment (for example, 620°C × 24 h). Under BWR operating conditions, IGSCC initiation time could be extended by a factor of 5 by lowering the electric conductivity from 1.0 to 0.06 μS/cm. If the ECP was reduced below the critical potential by a mitigation method, the IGSCC initiation time was predicted to become sufficiently long for pipings and components.  相似文献

We previously isolated aaptamine, a benzonaphthyridine alkaloid, from marine sponge Aaptos suberitoids. In this study, we investigated the anti-proliferative effect of aaptamine on chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) K562 cells. Aaptamine inhibited growth of K562 with a GI50 as 10 μM, and arrested cell cycle at G2/M phase. Western blot analysis indicated that aaptamine induced p21 expression in K562 cells. Moreover, p21 promoter was activated by aaptamine treatment in p21 transfected K562 cells. Since K562 is p53 negative, aaptamine was demonstrated to be a p53-independent p21 inducer in CML cells.  相似文献

The effects of SiO2 and Cr2O3 on the formation process of ZnO varistors were investigated. Prior to formation of the Zn2.33Sb0.67O4 spinel phase (Sp-phase), a spinel-like phase forms. However, this phase does not control the varistor microstructure. The Sp-phase and the Bi2O3-phase which were formed by the decomposition of the Bi2(Zn4/3Sb2/3)O6 pyrochlore phase played important parts in the control of the varistor microstructure. That is, the Bi2O3 phase produced in the reaction promotes the initial sintering of the varistor and the Sp-phase inhibits the ZnO grain growth. In this reaction, SiO2 and Cr2O3 play a role in decreasing the decomposition temperature of the pyrochlore phase. Decreasing the decomposition temperature below 900° C (where ZnO grain growth begins) leads to the inhibition of ZnO grain growth.  相似文献

In this study, the closing behavior of internal voids was examined by a deformation analysis involving the 2-D finite element method (FEM), which simulates voids in steel ingots in the compression process (upset process). In the compression process, a model experiment that uses internal voids was carried out to confirm the accuracy of the deformation analysis. By comparing the model experiment with the analytical results, it was confirmed to simulate the internal void behavior by this analysis. The relationship between the reduction ratio and the void shape/void position was investigated by the analysis. In the forging process, the closing evaluation value of internal voids (Q value) was calculated by a model experiment and 3-D FEM. Using the analysis results, a limit value of the closing behavior of voids was quantified, and it is now understood that the voids close at more than Q = 0.21. In addition, the forging process of filling the above-mentioned value was designed by the Taguchi method. The predicted Q value in the case of using the Taguchi method almost corresponds to the value calculated by the deformation analysis. We propose a three-dimensional hand posture estimation system that can retrieve a hand posture image most similar to the input data from a non-multilayer database. Our system uses, at the first stage, coarse screening by the proportional information on the hand images, which roughly correspond to forearm rotation or bending of the thumb or four fingers; then, at the second stage, performs a detailed search for similarity for selected candidates. To describe forearm rotation, and wrist’s internal and external rotations, bending and stretching, no separate processes were used for estimating the corresponding joint angles. By estimating the sequential images of the finger shape using this method, we successfully realized a process involving a joint angle estimation error within two or three degrees, a processing time of approximately 80 fps or more, using only one Note PC and high-speed camera, even when the wrist was freely rotating. Since the image information and the joint angle information are paired in the database, as well as the wrist joint, the system can generate the imitative motions as those of the fingers and wrist of a human being with no time delay by means of a robot, by outputting the estimation results to the robot hand.  相似文献
