Cokes were prepared from nine coals of different rank and characterized by surface area measurement, reactivity to carbon dioxide at 1473K and Raman-laser spectroscopy. Rates of gasification of cokes on a unit surlface area basis (K1 = g m?2 min?1) decreased with increasing rank of parent coal based on maximum oil reflectances. However rates of gasification could not be related to coke structure as measured by Raman-laser spectroscopy.  相似文献

The structure of internal oxide layers in decarburized sheet was studied using a newly developed electrochemical method. Dissolving potential profiles indicated the amount of fayalite (Fe2SiO4) and silica (SiO2) in the layers. The quantitative data for the contents of fayalite and silica in the internal oxide layers can be easily obtained by this method.  相似文献

Abstract

It was confirmed that soot produced by free burning of small hydrocarbons like benzene and cyclohexane generally contains less than 0.1 ppm of C60. Small, but measurable amounts of C60 were found in two samples of charcoal, providing the first indication of fullerene formation in the solid state.  相似文献

It has been reported that elongated Au nanoparticles oriented parallel to one another can be synthesized in SiO2 by ion irradiation. Our aim was to elucidate the mechanism of this elongation. We prepared Au and Ag nanoparticles with a diameter of 20 nm in an SiO2 matrix. It was found that Au nanoparticles showed greater elongated with a higher flux of ion beam and with thicker SiO2 films. In contrast, Ag nanoparticles split into two or more shorter nanorods aligned end to end in the direction parallel to the ion beam. These experimental results are discussed in the framework of a thermal spike model of Au and Ag nanorods embedded in SiO2. The lattice temperature exceeds the melting temperatures of SiO2, Au and Ag for 100 ns after one 110 MeV Br10+ ion has passed through the middle of an Au or Ag nanorod.  相似文献

The reductive removal of nitric oxide from flue gases by reaction with polyacrylonitrile-based active carbon fibres (PAN-ACF) activated with sulphuric acid has been studied at 423–632 K, using a circulating flow reactor. Nitric oxide (0.67 mmol) was completely removed via reduction with 1 g activated carbon under optimum conditions in 210 and 60 min at 423 and 623 K, respectively. N2 was formed as NO was removed. Some oxygen remained on the carbon surface at 423 K, but was desorbed as CO or CO2 on subsequent heating to 623 K. The bimolecular reaction of NO reduction over PAN-ACF, and the possible active sites of oxygen surface groups are discussed in the light of a kinetic study and a comparison of the fibre activation at different temperatures.  相似文献

The effect of filtration layer morphology on filtration performance at 673 K was investigated for continuous alumina-fiber-reinforced mullite composite filters that capture fly ash on their outer surfaces. Two types of filtration layers were prepared on the outer surfaces: a mono-layer consisting of mullite agglomerated particulates and a bi-layer, with mullite whiskers formed by a vapor-phase reaction and strongly adhered to the particulates exposed on the outer surfaces. For filters with mono-filtration layers, the filtration efficiency was improved slightly by increasing the filtration layer thickness. However, the maximum differential pressure increased during the filtration tests. Adhesion of whiskers to the outer surface decreased the maximum differential pressure to about one-third less than that with the mono-filtration layer. This low differential pressure remained constant throughout the duration of the test, with corresponding increases in filtration efficiency.  相似文献

Dislocation-free and low dislocation densityn-type conductive GaAs crystals, 50 mm in diameter, were grown by the In and Si co-doping LEC technique. Two-dimensional LED arrays were fabricated on substrates obtained from these crystals by the MOCVD technique and the influence of the In doping on the LED characteristics was examined. The light output power of LEDs fabricated on co-doped substrate with an In concentration of 1 ×1020atoms/cm3 are low and are non-uniformly distributed, as compared with the boat-grown substrate, even though the co-doped substrate is dislocation-free. However, the LED properties of a substrate with an In concentration of 2 × 1018atoms/cm3 are the same as those of a boat-grown substrate. The light output power of the LEDs becomes higher as the In concentration in the substrate decreased.  相似文献

We have isolated a lipase-overproducing mutant, GE14, from Serratia marcescens 8000 after three rounds of N-methyl-N'-nitro-N-nitrosoguanidine mutagenesis. The mutant GE14 produced 95 kU/ml of extracellular lipase in the lipase medium, which was about threefold higher than that of produced by the original strain 8000. Enzymatic characteristics including specific activity of purified lipases from culture supernatants of GE14 and 8000 were almost same. The lipase gene (lipA) of GE14 contained two base substitutions; one in the promoter region and another in the N-terminal region of the lipA gene without an amino acid substitution. Promoter analysis using lipA-lacZ fusion plasmids revealed that these substitutions were responsible for the increase in the lipA expression level, independently. In contrast, no base substitution was found in the genes encoding the lipase secretion device, the Lip system. In addition, the genes coding for metalloprotease and the cell surface layer protein which are both secreted through the Lip system and associated with extracellular lipase production, also contained no base substitution. The strain GE14 carrying a high-copy-number lipA plasmid produced a larger amount of the extracellular lipase than the recombinant strains of 8000 and other mutants also did, indicating that GE14 was not only a lipase-overproducing strain, but also an advantageous host strain for overproducing the lipase by a recombinant DNA technique. These results suggest that the lipase-overproducing mutant GE14 and its recombinant strains are promising candidates for the industrial production of the S. marcescens lipase.  相似文献

Use of a lamination process for the introduction of Au electrode, instead of conventional metal evaporation, improved the power conversion efficiency (PCE) of inverted-structure photovoltaic devices from 1.6% to 2.6% based on a bulk heterojunction of poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT) and (6,6)-phenyl C61 butyric acid methyl ester (PCBM). X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy indicated that a thin layer of P3HT is spontaneously formed at the air/polymer blend layer interface during the spin-coating process. It is suggested that the vacuum-evaporated gold could destroy the surface-segregated thin layer of P3HT, while the lamination process preserves the surface structure working as an electron-blocking layer. The insertion of a PEDOT:PSS layer, between the metal electrode and polymer layer, in the lamination process further improved the PCE to 3.3% with a short-circuit current density of 9.94 mA cm−2, an open-circuit voltage of 0.60 V, and a fill factor of 55% under AM1.5 100 mW cm−2 irradiation.  相似文献
