A modified Monte Carlo (MC) simulation was performed to investigate the hydrogen absorption behavior in Pd and Pd–Ag alloys of the composition PdxAg1−x (x=0.7–0.8) under H2 pressure (0.1 MPa) at different temperatures. The present method employed can consider the dissociative adsorption of hydrogen molecule and the subsequent absorption of hydrogen atom by formalizing the relationship between the pressure of hydrogen molecule and hydrogen atom. The potential parameters were determined to reproduce the solution enthalpy of hydrogen in pure metals. The results are in good agreement with experimental findings as well as previous theoretical studies. We confirmed that our method is useful to simulate the absorption of hydrogen in metals and alloys. 相似文献

Stress measurement methods using neutron and X‐ray diffraction were examined by comparing the surface stresses with internal stresses in the continuous tungsten‐fiber reinforced copper‐matrix composite. Surface stresses were measured by X‐ray stress measurement with the sin2ψ method. Furthermore, the sin2ψ method and the most common triaxal measurement method using Hooke's equation were employed for internal stress measurement by neutron diffraction. On the other hand, microstress distributions developed by the difference in the thermal expansion coefficients between these two phases were calculated by FEM. The weighted average strains and stresses were compared with the experimental results. The FEM results agreed with the experimental results qualitatively and confirmed the importance of the triaxial stress analysis in the neutron stress measurement. 相似文献

Secondary fuel cells based on oxygen reduction of platinum electrode modified by polymers and metal-phthalocyanine (Mt = Fe(III), Co(II), Ni(II), and Cu(II)) were studied. The discharge curves for the platinum electrode modified by poly(2-vinylpyridine) (or polystyrene) and Co-phthalocyanine in 30% KOH aqueous solution, for a 30 min charge at 500 μA, followed by a 100 μA discharge showed a stable plateau at about ?0.24 V SCE (Saturated Calomel Electrode). The open circuit voltage (vs. Zn) of the cell was 1.2 V, and the discharge capacity was of 46 A · h/kg. For this battery there was no significant decay in its characteristics after more than 30 charge-discharge cycles. In Mt-phthalocyanines, the values decreased in the order of Co(II) > Fe(III) > > Cu(II) > Ni(II). From a cyclic voltammogram for the electrode modified by the polymer and Co-Pc, the cathodic reactions were discussed. 相似文献

Active 4-dodecanoyl-2-nitrophenyl esters of β-alanine, β-alanyl-β-alanine, and β-alanyl-β-alanyl-β-alanine were prepared, and tried to polymerize in various solvents. Nonpolar solvents were found to be convenient for the polycondensation reaction. The yield of the polycondensation was high for the monopeptide ester, and less for the dipeptide and tripeptide esters. The continuous behaviour of a ground-embankment system from the stage of deformation up to failure was predicted with respect to an actual test embankment that had been constructed in stages on a soft ground made up of peat and calcareous soil. The behaviour prediction was carried out by employing soil-water coupled finite deformation analysis, which also included simulation of the embankment construction process. The information used in the analysis was limited to such things as the results of soil tests on soil materials (peat and calcareous soil) sampled from the ground, including their sensitivity ratios, and the embankment's construction history. The SYS Cam-clay model was used in the constitutive equations of the soils to determine the material constants of the soils and the initial conditions of the ground, and the computations were performed under plane strain conditions. As a result, the computed profiles of W-type ground settlement and of slip surfaces running through the embankment were found to be in good overall agreement with the actual profiles measured at the site. Furthermore, we found that this slippage is attributable to the undrained shear response of the soil elements in the calcareous soil layer, where slippage begins to occur during embankment loading. In other words, the slippage is caused by the rapid softening behaviour caused by the degradation of structure after the effective stress ratio reaches the vicinity of the critical state line. 相似文献
