A fully integrated Global Positioning System (GPS) radio is presented. Low-IF architecture was used for a high level of integration and low power consumption. An on-chip analog image-reject filter provides 18 dB of image-noise rejection to prevent noise figure (NF) degradation. With image rejection performed in the analog radio, a single-path (nonquadrature) output was used. The integrated synthesizer only requires an off-chip phase-locked loop-filter to function. Implemented in a 0.35-/spl mu/m 2P4M CMOS process, the integrated radio has a chip area of 9.5 mm/sup 2/. The radio operates over a wide range of voltage and temperature, from 2.2 to 3.6 V and from -40/spl deg/C to +85/spl deg/C and consumes 27 mW from a 2.2-V supply. The receiver has 4 dB NF. 相似文献

Novel polymer nanocomposite foams made by a two step compression molding method are analyzed in this article. Nanocomposites of low density polyethylene and an organo‐modified hectorite were first melt compounded and then foamed using a compression molding method. To study the influence of the presence and the amount of hectorite in both mechanical and thermal properties, samples with 3% and 7% content of hectorite were prepared. Polyethylene crystalline characteristics and thermal stability of the samples were studied by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), respectively. Mechanical properties of foams and solid nanocomposites were analyzed by using dynamical mechanical analysis (DMA). Thermal expansion of the samples was analyzed by thermomechanical analysis. The results indicate that the exfoliation of hectorite platelets was achieved after the foaming process, but not during the melt mixing step. Foams with hectorite nanoparticles exhibit improved thermal stability and mechanical properties when compared with neat polymeric foams. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Appl Polym Sci 2007 相似文献

In this paper, we consider a Hopfield like Chaotic Neural Networks which have both self-coupling and non-invertible activation
functions. We show that the interactions between neurons can be used as a means of chaos generation or suppression to neuron’s
outputs when more adaptability or stability is required. Furthermore, a new set of sufficient conditions based on coupling
weights is proposed so that the synchronization of all neuron’s outputs with each other is guaranteed, when all neuron’s have

This paper presents the design of a robust force control system for an electrohydraulic load emulator utilized as part of a hardware-in-the-loop flight simulation experiment. In this application, the force controlled hydraulic actuator is used to artificially recreate in-service loads upon a second hydraulic flight actuator operated in closed-loop position control. Electrohydraulic force control is more difficult than electrohydraulic position tracking because the load dynamics influence the force transfer function in a way that makes it challenging to develop an accurate force tracking system using simple feedback control. Nonlinear quantitative feedback theory (QFT) is applied in this paper to address this issue. First, an effective and robust feedback controller is designed by nonlinear QFT to desensitize the force control loop to nonlinear servovalve flow/pressure effects and typical system uncertainties. A secondary compensator is also designed within the QFT framework to extend the force tracking bandwidth with respect to the load motion. Experiments demonstrate acceptable force tracking performance within the scope of a representative flight-simulation experiment. 相似文献

One of the most common complications during pregnancy is gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM), hyperglycemia that occurs for the first time during pregnancy. The condition is multifactorial, caused by an interaction between genetic, epigenetic, and environmental factors. However, the underlying mechanisms responsible for its pathogenesis remain elusive. Moreover, in contrast to several common metabolic disorders, molecular research in GDM is lagging. It is important to recognize that GDM is still commonly diagnosed during the second trimester of pregnancy using the oral glucose tolerance test (OGGT), at a time when both a fetal and maternal pathophysiology is already present, demonstrating the increased blood glucose levels associated with exacerbated insulin resistance. Therefore, early detection of metabolic changes and associated epigenetic and genetic factors that can lead to an improved prediction of adverse pregnancy outcomes and future cardio-metabolic pathologies in GDM women and their children is imperative. Several genomic and epigenetic approaches have been used to identify the genes, genetic variants, metabolic pathways, and epigenetic modifications involved in GDM to determine its etiology. In this article, we explore these factors as well as how their functional effects may contribute to immediate and future pathologies in women with GDM and their offspring from birth to adulthood. We also discuss how these approaches contribute to the changes in different molecular pathways that contribute to the GDM pathogenesis, with a special focus on the development of insulin resistance. 相似文献

The surface tension of silver-copper binary liquid alloys is calculated, in the frame work of Eyring theory. The calculations were made for different compositions (mole fraction, xCu = 0, 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8 and 1), in the temperature range 1100-1800 K. The surface tension decreases with temperature increase, at a fixed copper fraction xCu, and increases with increasing copper content. Commercial cellulase, hemicellulase, and pectinase enzymes were applied to hydrolyse sugar cane bagasse. Cell wall polysaccharides of this substrate were hydrolysed extensively. Maximum hydrolysis is obtained when commercial hemicellulase and pectinase are combined with cellulases. The digests were chromatographed by high performance liquid chromatography in order to obtain information upon the structure features of bagasse polysaccharides. 相似文献

This study examined the effect of castration and dietary hormonal supplementation on cholesterol cholelithiasis in male hamsters.
Animals fed a standard lithogenic diet developed cholesterol gallstones (17%) after 6 wk, while castrated hamsters did not
form any stones. Addition of a synthetic androgen, methyltestosterone, to the lithogenic diet induced cholelithiasis in castrated
animals (50%). The biles of normal and castrated-hormone supplemented hamsters had cholesterol saturation indices of 1.0 and
1.1, respectively, while the bile of the castrated animals remained unsaturated (0.6). The ratio of cholic acid/chenodeoxycholic
acid in bile increased after castration, but returned to normal levels following hormonal supplementation. Biliary cholesterol
carriers were separated by ultracentrifugation. Animals in the stone-forming groups (normal and castrated-hormone treated)
had a significant proportion of their biliary cholesterol in vesicles (44 and 46%, respectively); castrated hamsters had less
cholesterol in vesicle form (9%). The molar ratio of cholesterol/phospholipid in vesicles was reduced after castration (0.93
vs. 0.42) and increased by hormonal supplementation (1.89). In conclusion, when compared to normal male hamsters fed a standard
lithogenic diet, castration reduced the cholesterol saturation of bile, lowered the vesicular/micellar ratio in bile, and
inhibited cholesterol cholelithiasis. Dietary androgen supplementation increased the lithogenicity of bile, resulting in stone

We describe a database of static images and video clips of human faces and people that is useful for testing algorithms for face and person recognition, head/eye tracking, and computer graphics modeling of natural human motions. For each person there are nine static "facial mug shots" and a series of video streams. The videos include a "moving facial mug shot," a facial speech clip, one or more dynamic facial expression clips, two gait videos, and a conversation video taken at a moderate distance from the camera. Complete data sets are available for 284 subjects and duplicate data sets, taken subsequent to the original set, are available for 229 subjects. 相似文献
