BACKGROUND: Granular cell tumor was first described by Abrikossoff in 1926. It is rare and usually presents as a benign solitary lesion. Multifocal and malignant forms are known to occur. METHODS: This presentation illustrates an additional case of granular cell tumor. Clinical and histological features to distinguish malignant and benign forms are presented. RESULTS: Tumor can develop years after therapy for the primary lesion. Treatment recommendations are presented. CONCLUSIONS: Patients diagnosed with granular cell tumor require close follow-up. Radiographic evaluation for the presence of metastatic disease is necessary if a malignant variant is suspected.  相似文献

We report on the electrochromic behavior of a dinuclear ruthenium complex, which provides high environmental stability together with an intense absorption maximum at 1237 nm in solution in its +3 oxidation state. To verify its optoelectronic properties, we used this complex as the photoactive material in a planar photodetector prototype for near-infrared light pulses, succeeding in the detection of a train of light pulses at a wavelength of 1280 nm.  相似文献

Cold Sintering Process (CSP) was applied on commercial nanopowders to produce nanostructured TiO2 anatase with nano-to-macro porosity. Nanoporous TiO2 based materials were obtained by applying CSP at 150 °C and pressures up to 500 MPa on three TiO2 nanopowders with different specific surface area (s.s.a. = 50, 90 and 370 m2/g), using water as transient aqueous environment. Although TiO2 is insoluble in water, a density of 68% and s.s.a. = 117 m2/g were achieved from the powder with the highest specific surface area. A post annealing process at 500 °C increased the density up to 73% with a s.s.a. = 59 m2/g, and the crystallites dimensions passed from 110 Å in the powder to 130 Å in CSP material and 172 Å after post annealing. Finally, macroporosity was produced by using thermoplastic polymer beads as sacrificial templates within TiO2 nanopowder during CSP, followed by a debonding at 500 °C.  相似文献

We report on the corrosion of austenitic (AISI304) and duplex (2205) stainless steels in H2O/KOH 50% at 120 °C. The research is based on a combination of electrochemical, structural and compositional analyses, aimed at assessing the surface modifications resulting from anodic attack and their impact on corrosion resistance. Linear sweep voltammetry and electrochemical impedance spectrometry measurements were carried out in an air‐tight high‐temperature cell. In‐plane and cross‐sectional SEM micrography, X‐ray diffractometry and EDX profiling were used to characterise samples attacked under electrochemically controlled conditions. Electrochemical results have shown that AISI304 exhibits a complex passivating behaviour, while the anodic electrokinetics of the duplex is characterised by mixed kinetic control. AISI304 was found to fail by intergranular corrosion and to be covered: in passive conditions by acicular compounds and in transpassive conditions by a compact layer of corrosion products. Duplex samples, instead, exhibit an uniform form of corrosion morphology and bear a compact layer of corrosion products both in passive and in transpassive conditions.  相似文献

Fluorescence depolarization and quenching measurements of N‐vinyl carbazole/vinyl tert‐butyl‐benzoate copolymers in dilute solution of several fluid solvents and in a rigid poly(methyl methacrylate) matrix were performed to study the effect of copolymer composition on the intramolecular energy transfer (IET) between carbazole groups (Cz) along the polymer chain. IET efficiency, as the amount of Cz? Cz intramolecular excimer formation, monotonically increases with Cz content up to a number average sequence length of carbazole of ca 12 (Cz molar content ≥ 90%). After this value, IET efficiency remains almost constant. Molecular dynamics simulations on isotactic and syndiotactic copolymer fragments of several monomer compositions were used for obtaining different parameters related to the efficiency for the IET process between Cz units along the polymer chain. Thirty commercially available Italian carbonic macerated young red wines, have been analysed by HPLC–DAD–MS with the aim to characterise their pigment composition and find possible correlations with the colour features evaluated by means of spectrophotometric measurements. The composition in anthocyanin monoglucosides, acetates, p-coumarates as well as that in pyranoanthocyanins and direct and ethyl-bridged adducts with flavanols, was studied. Because of the peculiar maceration process, carbonic macerated wines demonstrated to be qualitatively rich in pyranoanthocyanins and pigment adducts. A number of ethyl-bridged anthocyanin isomers was found, together with significant contents of vitisin A and vitisin B (up to 15.5 mg/L as a sum). Malvidin-3-glc-4-vinylphenol was the main pyranoanthocyanin-vinylphenol adduct (up to 1.10 mg/L). The colour features of the wines were broadly distributed as a consequence of the percentage of carbonic macerated wine present in the marketed product. The statistical treatment of the entire data set revealed that pyranoanthocyanins are positively correlated with colour density (while no correlation was found for monoglucosides) and that direct adducts and/or ethyl-bridged compounds can play a role for what concerns the hue of carbonic macerated wines.  相似文献
