The fate of the chlorine and fluorine present in a sub-bituminous coal from Indonesia during pyrolysis and gasification has been studied with fixed and entrained bed reactors. The rate profile for HCl evolved in the temperature programmed pyrolysis exhibits the main and shoulder peaks at 480 and 600 °C, respectively. Model experiments and subsequent Cl 2p XPS measurements show that HCl reacts with metal impurities and carbon active sites at 500 °C to be retained as inorganic and organic chlorine forms, from which HCl evolves again at elevated temperatures. It is suggested that the HCl observed in the coal pyrolysis may originate from the above-mentioned chlorine functionalities formed by secondary reactions involving the nascent char. In the CO2 gasification of the 900 °C char at 1000 °C and 2.5 MPa, any measurable amounts of HCl and HF could not be detected even at a high conversion of 75 wt% (daf), suggesting the accumulation of these halogens in the residual char. When the coal is injected into an O2-blown, entrained bed gasifier at 1200-1400 °C under 2.6 MPa, the partial oxidation proceeds to a larger extent at a higher O2/coal ratio, whereas the chlorine and fluorine are enriched in the remaining char, and the extent of the enrichment at the latter stage of gasification is larger with the fluorine. The XPS measurements of the chars reveal the presence of the broad F 1 s peak, which can cover a wide range of binding energies attributable to inorganic and organic fluorine. The halogen enrichment during gasification is discussed in terms of secondary reactions of HCl and HF with char.  相似文献

Current saturation characteristics of free-air ionization chambers with electrode gaps of 4.2 and 8.4 mm were investigated using pulsed photon beam obtained by periodically interrupting synchrotron radiation beams with a chopper. Pulsed photon beams of 10 and 15 keV with pulse duration of 2.5 μs and a frequency of 230 Hz were produced by chopping the beam. The measured recombination rate was found to be proportional to the intensity and inversely proportional to the applied voltage.  相似文献

This paper describes a novel method to estimate appropriate traversable regions from an outdoor scene image. The traversable regions output by the proposed method reflect the common sense of people. For example, a candidate traversable region is “a paved road somewhat distant from the side ditch.” The input to the traversable region estimation is one color image. First, category is assigned to each pixel in the image. The categorization result is then input to the region estimator. Finally, the traversable region are estimated on the input image. An important aspect of this method is the application of two score functions in region estimation process. One score function places high value on categories selected as traversable paths by subjects. The other function places high value on categories that are not selected as traversable regions but are adjacent to categories with traversable paths. A combination of these two functions produces feasible estimation results. The effectiveness of the combined score functions was evaluated by experiments and a questionnaire.  相似文献

Gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA)A receptors are the sites of action for many antiepileptic drugs such as benzodiazepines and barbiturates. We report the results of molecular cloning of the gamma1-subunit from seizure prone DBA/2J and resistant C57BL/6J inbred mice, and analyses of nucleotide sequences and expression of the gamma1-subunit messenger RNA (mRNA) in DBA/2 and C57BL/6 inbred mice. The mouse gamma1-subunit complementary DNA (cDNA) shares 98% similarity with that of the rat at the level of amino acid sequence. Northern blot hybridization indicates that the gamma1-subunit mRNA is expressed predominantly in areas other than the cerebral cortex and cerebellum and shows little change with postnatal development. No differences have been found for the subunit between DBA/2 and C57BL/6 mice either for nucleotide sequence or for level of expression of the subunit's mRNA in whole brain by Northern blots at 3 weeks of age.  相似文献

High pressure oxidation of silicon was performed at an oxidation temperature range of 650 to 800°C for thin oxide films with about 300 å thickness. The index of refraction was dependent on an oxidation temperature but independent of the oxidation pressure as 1.475 at 750°C. The dielectric breakdown strength of the oxide film was measured by the voltage ramping,method. The fixed oxide charge about 1.0 × 1011 cm?2 was also measured from the high frequency C-V measurement. The pulse scanning C-V measurement technique was used to measure the minority carrier generation rate in the depleted surface. The surface generation velocity was slightly dependent on the oxidation temperature and indicated that the fast surface states increased with decreasing oxidation temperature.  相似文献

Using lift-off method, we synthesized large self-standing plasma CVD diamond films on various substrates. Charge carrier transportation in diamond was measured using α particle measurements and TOF methods with a short-pulsed UV laser. The high-quality films were synthesized rapidly. We observed the maximum transit time of holes and electrons shorter than 5 ns. The lift-off method is useful to fabricate the high-quality diamond with excellent drift velocities of the charge carrier. The charge transport characteristics of our diamond films are comparable to those of a commercially available (Element Six Ltd.) electronics grade IIa diamond single crystal.  相似文献

In this article, we present a study of surface stress measurements of a thick single-crystal diamond (SCD) layer (110 μm) deposited onto a high-temperature high-pressure (HTHP) Ib substrate. The measurement is based on observations of the deformation of the backside of the HTHP substrate due to internal stress that varies as the thickness of the SCD layer is modified by ion-beam etching. The deformation is obtained from the height-distribution analysis of interference microscopy (IM) observation. The results show that the tensile surface stress σ increases linearly with SCD-layer thickness with tf according to σ = 0.065tf MPa/μm. The tensile surface stress may be attributed to the intrinsic stress that originates from the lattice mismatch between the CVD-diamond layer and the HTHP-Ib substrate. The increased internal stress is a principle cause of crack formation of the crystal.  相似文献

This paper describes an implementation of a mobile robot system for autonomous navigation in outdoor concurred walkways. The task was to navigate through nonmodified pedestrian paths with people and bicycles passing by. The robot has multiple redundant sensors, which include wheel encoders, an inertial measurement unit, a differential global positioning system, and four laser scanner sensors. All the computation was done on a single laptop computer. A previously constructed map containing waypoints and landmarks for position correction is given to the robot. The robot system's perception, road extraction, and motion planning are detailed. The system was used and tested in a 1‐km autonomous robot navigation challenge held in the City of Tsukuba, Japan, named “Tsukuba Challenge 2007.” The proposed approach proved to be robust for outdoor navigation in cluttered and crowded walkways, first on campus paths and then running the challenge course multiple times between trials and the challenge final. The paper reports experimental results and overall performance of the system. Finally the lessons learned are discussed. The main contribution of this work is the report of a system integration approach for autonomous outdoor navigation and its evaluation. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.  相似文献

A field ion microscope has been used to investigate the influence of oxygen adsorption on adhesion of W to Au. An adhesion contact in ultrahigh vacuum of the field ion microscope was carried out using a W tip either with or without oxygen adsorption. It was found that adhesion force decreased with increasing oxygen exposures up to 60 Langmuirs (L). With an oxygen exposure of 16 L, an intermediate adhesion resulted. Adhesion is thus dependent upon the coverage of oxygen. The depth of adhesion-induced lattice defects was studied using the field evaporation technique. Over 200 L, adhesion force was not detectable, nor was distortion of W atoms.  相似文献

In order to analyse failures caused in multilevel metallized LSI devices. we developed the OBIC (optical beam induced current) observation technique using an infrared laser incident upon a backside of the chip which appears from a plastic package by being lapped and polished. We analysed the electrical rejects in the reliability stressing of surface mount plastic packages with this technique. The latch-up phenomenon in 4Mbit dynamic RAM with retrograded-well fabricated by a high energy (MeV) ion-implantation was also examined. The high latch-up immunity of the device with retrograded-well is confirmed by this analysis.  相似文献
