Hydrotalcites in the nitrate form were prepared using microwave irradiation in the hydrotreatment step. The surface area (BET) of nitrated hydrotalcites was evaluated. Solids were characterized by atomic absorption, X-ray diffraction and BET analysis. Thermal pretreatment temperature determined the surface area of the hydrotalcites.  相似文献

After the death of an animal, cell metabolism is controlled locally. The post-mortem oxygen depletion increases the glycolytic activity and lactate production. However, many mechanisms of post-mortem metabolic regulation have not been fully investigated in beef carcasses. In this work, we studied the post-mortem glycolytic behavior (including lactate dehydrogenase) and three dehydrogenase associated to glycolysis (glycerophosphate dehydrogenase, glucose 6-phosphate dehydrogenase, and glycerol dehydrogenase) by using cytochemistry techniques in three fast-twitch muscles (M. longissimus dorsi, M. semimembranosus, and M. cutaneus trunci) of carcasses stored at 0 °C. Our results indicate that glycolysis depends on the type of muscle. The post-mortem glycolytic flux and lactate dehydrogenase activity of M. cutaneus trunci was the lowest of the three muscles studied. Of the other dehydrogenases analyzed, only glycerophosphate and glycerol dehydrogenase showed clear cytochemical reaction. Glucose 6-phosphate dehydrogenase was not used by muscles very much. The glycerophosphate dehydrogenase was the strongest enzymatic activity correlated to the post-mortem glycolytic flux. In addition, a relationship between glycerophosphate dehydrogenase and glycerol dehydrogenase was detected by using a multiple regression model. This phenomenon was studied by using bioinformatics tools, suggesting that glycerophosphate dehydrogenase could oxidize the glycerol in bovine fast-twitch muscles.  相似文献

Escherichia coli O157:H7 is a foodborne pathogenic bacterium that can reside undetected in the gastrointestinal tract of cattle because colonization by this bacterium is asymptomatic. Recent research has indicated that swine can carry and transmit this pathogen as well. The development of more advanced and sensitive detection techniques has improved the limit of detection and increased sensitivity for this important pathogen. This study was undertaken to determine the prevalence of E. coli O157 in cattle and swine in Mexico with the more sensitive detection technique of immunomagnetic bead separation. Samples (n = 60 per farm) were taken from four cattle and four swine farms (n = 240 cattle samples, n = 240 swine samples) located throughout central Mexico in October 2001. The prevalence of E. coli O157 was found to be only 1.25% on cattle farms and 2.1% on swine farms. The prevalence in cattle in this study is lower than that reported in the United States and could be related to the lower reported prevalence of E. coli O157 in humans in Mexico. However, further research is needed to verify prevalence throughout other regions of Mexico, as well as prevalence during other seasons of the year.  相似文献

The anaerobic biodegradability of mixtures of phenolic compounds was studied under continuous and batch systems. Continuous experiments were carried out in up-flow anaerobic sludge bed (UASB) reactors degrading a mixture of phenol and p-cresol as the main carbon and energy sources. The total chemical oxygen demand (COD) removal above 90% was achieved even at organic loading rates as high as 7 kg COD/m3/day. Batch experiments were conducted with mixtures of phenolic compounds (phenol, p-cresol, and o-cresol) to determine the specific biodegradation rates using unadapted and adapted anaerobic granular sludge. Phenol and p-cresol were mineralized by adapted sludge with rates several orders of magnitude higher than unadapted sludge. Additionally, an UASB reactor was operated with the mixture phenol, p-cresol, and o-cresol. After 54 days of operation, 80% of o-cresol (supplied at 132 mg/L) was eliminated. The phenol biodegradation was not affected by the presence of o-cresol. These results demonstrate that major phenolic components in petrochemical effluents can be biodegraded simultaneously during anaerobic treatment.  相似文献

Coupled transport of thiocyanate ions through a liquid membrane containing quaternary ammonium chloride salts in chloroform was examined. The influences of the carrier type in the membrane phase on the coupled transport of thiocyanate ions were investigated. The kinetics of the coupled transport were analyzed in the formalism of two consecutive irreversible first-order reactions and the kinetic parameters (k1d, k2m, k2a, Rmmax, tmax, Jdmax, Jamax) were also calculated. For the coupled transport of thiocyanate ions, quaternary ammonium chloride salts having different carbon atom numbers (Cn) used as carriers were found to increase thiocyanate ions transport efficiency with increasing carbon atom numbers. Tetradecyl trimethylammonium chloride (TDTMACl), hexadecyl trimethylammonium chloride (HDTMACl), and tetraoctyl ammonium chloride (TOACl) were found to be the most effective carrier types for transport of thiocyanate ions when Cn is greater than 16. The activation energies for maximum membrane entrance and exit fluxes were calculated as 32.45 kJ/mol and 34.75 kJ/mol, respectively. The values of the activation energy indicate that the process is controlled by species diffusion.  相似文献

The coupled problem of heat and mass transfer during the solidification of high-water content materials like soils, foods, tissues and phase-change materials is developed. Assuming quasi-steady heat conduction in the frozen region, the system leads to a set of coupled ordinary differential equations. The model takes into account the influence of material characteristics and process variables on the advance of the freezing and sublimation fronts, temperature and water vapour profiles and weight loss. It was validated against the analytical solution of the freezing (without surface ice sublimation) of a semi-infinite medium and was extensively used to perform a parametric study.  相似文献

Temperature dependences of the series resistance in the Cr/n-Si/Au-Sb Schottky structures prepared by electrodeposition method have been studied using current-voltage (I-V) characteristics in the 80-320 K temperature range by steps of 20 K. However, the values of series resistance obtained from Cheung functions were compared with each other, and it was seen that there is a good agreement between the values of the series resistance. A modified Norde’s function combined with conventional forward I-V method was used to extract the parameters including barrier height and the series resistance. The barrier height and series resistance obtained from Norde’s function were compared with those from Cheung functions. The values of barrier height and series resistance have very different especially towards to the lower temperatures. This is attributed to non-ideal I-V characteristics of the Cr/n-Si/Au-Sb Schottky structure and non-pure thermionic emission theory due to the low temperature effects.  相似文献

Assignment decisions of referees to football (soccer) games are highly debated in sports media. Referee assignments are typically done on a weekly basis as the league progresses. However, this practice ignores important workload constraints on referees. Moreover, referees' skill levels should also be considered in determining their assignments. In this article, we first give a mixed integer linear program formulation for the problem of simultaneously generating a game schedule and assigning main referees to games by incorporating specific rules in the Turkish league. We also approach this problem using a genetic algorithm (GA) because of the computational difficulties in solving the problem. In the GA solution pool, we suggest using templates for referee assignments that follow several referee‐related workload constraints. We explain how these templates can be obtained by solving a mixed integer linear model prior to running the GA. The usage of these templates for referee assignments is conceptually similar to using a basic match schedule for game scheduling such as the one used in the Turkish Football League. We use the Turkish Football League fixtures for 2010–2013 as a case study. Experiments with the GA using real‐world data show a rather modest performance in terms of computation time and objective function value. Our numerical results indicate that the problem is extremely hard to solve.  相似文献

The variations in the electrical properties of Cr Schottky contacts formed by electrodeposition technique on n-type Si substrate have been investigated as a function of temperature using current-voltage (I-V) and capacitance-voltage (C-V) measurements in the temperature range of 80-320 K by steps of 20 K. The basic diode parameters such as ideality factor (n) and barrier height (Φb) were consequently extracted from the electrical measurements. It has been seen that the ideality factor increased and the barrier height decreased with decreasing temperature, when the I-V characteristics were analyzed on the basis of the thermionic emission (TE) theory. The abnormal temperature dependence of the Φb and n and is explained by invoking two sets of Gaussian distribution of barrier heights at 320-200 K, and 180-80 K. The double Gaussian distribution analysis of the temperature-dependent I-V characteristics of the Cr/n-type Si Schottky contacts gave the mean barrier heights of 0.910 and 0.693 eV and standard deviations (σs) of 109 mV and 72 mV, respectively. Then, these values of the mean barrier height have been confirmed with the modified ln(I0/T2) − q2/2k2T2 versus 1/T plot which belongs the two temperature regions.  相似文献
