Molten salts have potential application as an efficient heat transfer medium in a primary and secondary heat exchanger in high temperature next‐generation nuclear power plant. Thermal hydraulic studies are vital for reliable and cost‐effective design of the nuclear power plant. Therefore heat transfer study of molten salts will play a vital role in this area. In this work, an experimental system was designed to study thermal hydraulics of the molten salt system up to 700°C. This work describes the pretest results of the experimental facility for extremely corrosive molten fluoride salts with a simulant thermia‐B as the working fluid. In the present work, the details of the system are discussed and thermal‐hydraulic data for heat transfer fluid thermia‐B has been presented. Experiments were carried out at Reynolds number in the range of 4500 to 40 500 and Prandtl number in the range of 34 to 144. Effect of Reynolds number, melting tank temperature, and heat input to test section on forced convective heat transfer was studied under turbulent conditions. Comparison of the experimental data with different empirical correlations has been presented.  相似文献

In recent decades, bioactive peptides have attracted increasing interest as health promoting functional foods. A variety of naturally formed bioactive peptides have been found in fermented dairy products such as yogurt, sour milk, and cheese. Initially these peptides are inactive within the sequence of the parent protein molecule and can be generated by gastrointestinal digestion of milk, fermentation of milk with proteolytic starter cultures, and/or hydrolysis by proteolytic enzymes. Milk derived peptides exert a number of health beneficial activities, even upon oral administration. Bioactive peptides have a great impact on major body systems including the digestive, nervous, endocrine, cardiovascular, diabetes type II, obesity, and immune systems. Antimicrobial peptides are also an important ingredient of innate immunity, especially at mucosal surfaces such as lungs and small intestine that are constantly exposed to a range of potential pathogens. Therefore, it plays an important role in boosting natural immune protection by reducing the risk of chronic diseases. Bioactive peptides are considered as potent drugs with well-defined pharmacological residues and also used to formulate health-enhancing nutraceuticals.  相似文献

Polyethersulfone (PES)-expanded graphite nanocomposites have been prepared by solution blending route after sonicating expanded graphite in dichloromethane. It has been observed that ultrasonication results in nanosheets formation leading to a low percolation threshold of 3 wt.%. At 5 wt.% filler loading the conductivity is of the order of 10−2 S/cm. Hopping type of charge transport occurs at 3.2 wt.% expanded graphite in PES below which capacitive effects couple. The effective dielectric constant at low frequency increases with filler concentration. Impedance measurement has been carried out to evaluate interfacial capacitance which, for 3.2 wt.% expanded graphite addition in PES, increases to 110 pF from 32 pF for 1 wt.% expanded graphite in the polymer. DSC analysis shows an increment of 12 °C in the Tg of PES with 3 wt.% expanded graphite suggesting interaction between the polymer and filler.  相似文献

A comprehensive understanding of carboxymethyl chitosan (CMC)-based mixed matrix membrane (MMM) has been critically investigated. The present work elaborates the compatibility of hydrotalcite (HT) and CMC in terms of CO2 separation application. Various spectroscopic and microscopic techniques have been utilized to characterize the respective properties of the prepared membrane. The temperature stability and moisture retention behavior of the membrane recognized itself as the flue gas separation membrane. The CO2/N2 separation experiment was performed on the MMM at different temperature (60–110 °C) and sweep/feed water flow to the saturator ratio (0.33 to 3). The membrane exhibited the optimum CO2 permeance of 70 GPU at 90°C pertaining to water flow ratio of 2.33 (sweep/feed). A 27 year old female developed delayed onset of persistent generalized dystonia following a suicidal attempt with potassium cyanide. Cranial CT scan showed bilateral putaminal hypodensities which were also seen on MRI scans to be hypointense on T1 and hyperintense on T2 weighted images. Multimodality evoked potentials were normal. An improvement was noted with levodopa.  相似文献

In this work, the amphiphilic isoindigo (am‐iInd) based conjugated polymers namely poly(am‐iInd‐DT) and poly(am‐iInd‐TT) and their regular counterpart poly(reg‐iInd‐DT) and poly(reg‐iInd‐TT) were synthesized to compare their opto‐electronic and charge transport properties. They were used to fabricate organic field effect transistors. Charge transport properties in conjugated polymers depend upon intermolecular interaction which is strongly affected by the nature of side chains. The amphiphilic nature of the conjugated polymers has little impact on the charge transport properties. The charge carrier mobility of amphiphilic conjugated polymers was comparable with the regular polymers except poly(reg‐iInd‐DT) which can be correlated by X‐ray diffraction and thin film morphology. © 2017 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. This paper is concerned with multi-objective fuzzy stochastic model for determination of optimum cropping patterns with water balance for the next crop season. The objective functions of the model is to study the effect of various cropping patterns on crop production subject to total water supply in a small farm. The decision variables are the cultivated area of different crops at the farm. The water requirement of the crops follows fuzzy uniform distribution and yields in the objective functions are taken as a fuzzy numbers. The model is solved by using fuzzy stochastic simulation based genetic algorithm without deriving the deterministic equivalents.  相似文献

A new composite with cobalt ferrite magnetic nanoparticle dispersed in an aluminum matrix has been prepared using the ball-milling technique followed by compaction and sintering. Our efforts were largely focused on investigating the contribution of cobalt ferrite to the enhancement of structural, mechanical and magnetic properties of aluminum. Incorporation of 1–10 weight (wt)% of nanosized cobalt ferrite into the aluminum matrix could affect remarkable change in mechanical properties. Enhancement of hardness value, elastic modulus, and compressive strength was observed in the case of cobalt ferrite-incorporated aluminum matrix as compared to the pure aluminum sample. Incorporation of cobalt ferrite could impart considerable improvement of magnetization value of the aluminum matrix with a saturation magnetization of 17.07 emu/g for the aluminum sample reinforced with 10 wt% of cobalt ferrite. A decrease in coercive force in the sample arising from the increase in surface effects and inter-particle interaction between the ferromagnetic cobalt ferrite and soft phases in the matrix was also observed.  相似文献
