The encapsulation of phase change materials (PCMs) as thermal energy storage materials is a big issue. PCM is usually encapsulated to avoid spillage, flammability and its reaction with the surrounding environment to improve its application. In the last decade, various methods have been employed and all kinds of microencapsulated PCM are produced. In this paper, we present a facile route to produce an encapsulated PCM with an organic and inorganic shell. The encapsulated phase change material (PCM) was prepared using a coaxial micro-fluidic system combined with an ionic cross-linking process. The alginate was used as the basic shell and a range of capsules was obtained by modifying the original shell using two inorganic components such as sodium carbonate and sodium silicate. Various samples, each with a different surrounding layer, were prepared by combining alginate calcium (Alg–Ca) as an organic shell with an inorganic component such as alginate calcium carbonate (Alg–CaCO3) and alginate calcium silicate (Alg–CaSiO3). In these experimental works, we have investigated the compatibility and the stability of capsules modified with the inorganic component. The scanning electron microscopy (SEM) technique and optical microscopy were utilized to study the capsule morphology. The chemical composition of the shell was evaluated by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (ATR-FTIR), thermogravimetry analysis and SEM coupled with the EDX analysis, and the capsule stability was estimated under an accelerated thermal cycling. 相似文献

Each cloud service provider provides only an interface of its own cloud infrastructure for enabling clients to use its cloud resources. However, there is a number of difficulties for cloud providers to ensure proper functioning. One of the main problems of a cloud provider is the lack of resources to support a huge number of on-demand resources provisioning. Thus, resources cannot be distributed among different cloud providers since the federation is not the basic operation of the cloud provider. The most efficient way to overcome this problem is to extend the interface's cloud provider with an automatic negotiation to dynamically form the best agreement between the different cloud providers based on the service level agreement. In this article, we propose an extension for the Open Cloud Computing Interface which is the standardized interface for the cloud computing to support the automatic negotiation between the different cloud providers. To prove the efficiency and the effectiveness of our approach, we implement a prototype to evaluate the key presented in this article. 相似文献

In a heterogeneous network (HetNet), small cells such as femtocells considered in this work are deployed jointly with macrocells. This new cells' layer, when added to the network, generates interference, which could hamper neighboring macro‐user equipment (MUE) and femto‐user equipment (FUE) transmissions. In fact, this interference results in degradation of the network performance. In this paper, we propose a downlink interference cancelation (DL‐IC) strategy for spectrum‐sharing Long Term Evolution (LTE) HetNet. This DL‐IC strategy aims to reduce the interference impact on users by optimizing their received signal to interference plus noise ratio (SINR) using new utility functions for both FUEs and MUEs. These utility functions allow relaxation of the cancelation ratios in order to reduce implementation complexity while maximizing SINR, QoS, and throughput. We support by different system‐level simulations that both global network performance and user experience in terms of total throughput and received SNR or link‐level throughput, respectively, are significantly enhanced. Throughput gains achievable by the new DL‐IC strategy can reach as much as 200% against a homogeneous LTE network without IC along with an extra 48% per additional femtocell base station against a basic spectrum‐sharing LTE HetNet without IC. These performance figures are shown to surpass those achieved by interference avoidance techniques using either power or frequency resource allocation. Copyright © 2014 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd. 相似文献

Governmental portals designed to provide electronic services are generally overloaded with information that may hinder the effectiveness of e-government services. This paper proposes a new framework to supply citizens with adapted content and personalized services that satisfy their requirements and fit with their profiles in order to guarantee universal access to governmental services. The proposed reactive and proactive solutions combine several recommendation techniques that use different data sources i.e., citizen profile, social media databases, citizen’s feedback databases and service databases.
