The dependency of the chromaticity shifts on the concentration of Eu2+ doped in BaMgAl10O17 (BAM) was investigated under heat‐treatment and vacuum ultraviolet (VUV) irradiation. The Eu2+ ions in BAM show an asymmetrical broad emission band with a maximum at ~452 nm under excitation of VUV light at room temperature, showing that multiple crystalline cationic sites exist in the host. It was found that the chromaticity shifts greatly decrease with increasing heat‐treatment temperature. Regardless of the Eu2+ concentration, the chromaticity shifts caused by heat‐treatment are greater than that caused by VUV irradiation. Compared with conventional BAM, a solid solution of BAM with barium aluminate as a powder and film was also studied, and very few chromacity shifts were observed. It is suggested that the distribution of Eu2+ ions in different sites in a BAM lattice results in different chromaticity coordinates. By increasing the Eu2+ concentration in BAM, or under heat‐treatment and VUV irradiation, the emission band shifts towards longer wavelengths.  相似文献

The wild-type pseudorabies virus (WT-PRV) produced a round-type cytopathic effect (CPE) in PK-15 cell line of porcine kidney origin, while PRVgCs lacking in gC-transmembrane-anchor region and PRVgC-defecting in gC gene produced a syncytium-type CPE. The mouse embryo cell line (BALB/3T3 clone A31) were transfected with recombinant plasmid of pcDNA3 which incorporated with gC gene. The transfected A31/gC cells were stably expressing gC. Only a round-type CPE was observed in these cells infected with WT-PRV, while a syncytium-type CPE was observed in the cells infected with each of the PRVgCs and PRVgC-. Any viruses described above induced a syncytium-type CPE in A31/pcDNA cells transfected with a plasmid without gC gene. By WT-PRV infection, PK-15 cells generated about 2- or 8-fold more gC than the A31/gC and A31/pcDNA cells when gC was measured by hemagglutination test. Flowcytometric analysis revealed that amount of gC on the cell surface of A31/gC and PK-15 cells increased after infection with WT-PRV. Round-type CPE was observed with the increase of gC. These results suggest that the type of CPE formation induced by PRV is dominated by the amount of gC on the infected cell surface.  相似文献

The effects of three experimental conditions on the concentration of plasma renin substrate were studied with special reference to plasma renin concentration in unilaterally nephrectomized rats. After simultaneous bilateral nephrectomy the maximum increase in plasma renin substrate was 17 times higher than normal within 24 h, while in rats which were unilaterally nephrectomized 10 days previously, followed by the removal of the remaining kidney (two-step bilateral nephrectomy), the maximum increase in plasma renin substrate was markedly suppressed (6-fold of normal). The maximum increases in plasma renin substrate by estradiol treatment in normal and unilaterally nephrectomized rats were about the same, associated with similarly decreased plasma renin concentrations. The similar increase in plasma renin substrate was found after ureteral ligation in unilaterally nephrectomized rats and bilateral ligation of the ureters in normal rats. This was the case where the plasma renin concentrations changed differently after ureteral ligation. After two-step bilateral nephrectomy plus estradiol treatment the maximum increase in plasma renin substrate was found to be higher than that found after two-step bilateral nephrectomy, but was lower than that after simultaneous bilateral nephrectomy. It is suggested that under the pathological conditions that stimulate renin substrate production, the plasma rein substrate concentration is less affected by circulating renin.  相似文献

Multidrug resistance (MDR) is considered to be an important impediment to the effective treatment of cancer. P-glycoprotein, the drug efflux pump that mediates this resistance, can be inhibited by a wide variety of pharmacological agents, resulting in the circumvention of the MDR phenotype. SDZ PSC 833 ([3'-keto-Bmt1]-Val2]-cyclosporine), a nonimmunosuppressive cyclosporine D derivative, was identified to be a potent MDR modulator (Gaveriaux et al. J. Cell Pharmacol. 2:225-234; 1991). In this study, the interactions of P-glycoprotein with two cyclosporine derivatives, SDZ PSC 833 and cyclosporine A (CsA, Sandimmune), were analyzed. SDZ PSC 833 enhanced the sensitivity of the MDR cells to anticancer drugs by increasing the accumulation and inhibiting the efflux of cytotoxic agents from resistant cells more efficiently than CsA. The two cyclosporine analogs competed with the labeling of P-glycoprotein by a photoactive cyclosporine derivative. In addition, membrane vesicles derived from resistant cells bound SDZ PSC 833. However, CsA was transported by P-glycoprotein, whereas SDZ PSC 833 was not actively transported. This resulted in a prolonged inhibitory effect by SDZ PSC 833. The studies suggest that the binding of SDZ PSC 833 to P-glycoprotein in the absence of its transport from MDR cells mediated its high potency as an MDR reversing agent. In addition, the comparison of the two cyclosporine analogs indicated that limited chemical modifications of MDR reversing agents can affect their potential to inhibit P-glycoprotein function.  相似文献

Factors affecting the susceptibility of adults of 13 and larvae of 2 species of stored product beetles to entanglement by Trogoderma larval hastisetae were studied. The length, diameter, shape, density, and angle of the test insects' setae probably affected susceptibility. The setae on the hindwings of Trogoderma adults were susceptible to permanent hastisetal attachment which prevented normal closure of elytra over the hindwings. Sitophilus oryzae (L) and Cryptolestes pusillus (Schönherr) were susceptible, with 93 and 83% mortality, respectively, at the end of 72 hr exposure. Tribolium castaneum (Herbst), T. confusum (duVal), Gibbium psylloides (Czenpinski), and Tenebroides mauritanicus (L.) resisted hastisetal attachment. Scanning electron micrographs revealed the attachments of heads of hastisetae to setae of several beetles exposed to larval Trogoderma.  相似文献

Flavylium dye, a model compound of natural anthocyanin, has a defect that its color stability is very poor. We have complexed the flavylium dye with protonated zeolites and succeeded to enhance both the thermal and chemical stability of the dye. The aqueous dispersion of the flavylium/zeolite complex maintains its color even at 353 K or at pH 9, under which conditions the aqueous solution of the flavylium loses its color immediately. The stability is enhanced when the dye is incorporated into the pore of the zeolites, and a large stabilization effect is obtained by a tight adsorption with a narrow pore, as long as the dye is incorporated into the pore. Because of its enhanced color stability, the flavylium dye incorporated in the zeolite pore can be a candidate for an environmentally friendly coloring material.  相似文献

Osteoarthritis of the knee (OAK) is a chronic degenerative disease and progresses with an imbalance of cytokines and macrophages in the joint. Studies regarding the use of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) as a point-of-care treatment for OAK have reported on its effect on tissue repair and suppression of inflammation but few have reported on its effect on macrophages and macrophage polarization. Based on our clinical experience with two types of PRP kits Cellaid Serum Collection Set P type kit (leukocyte-poor-PRP) and an Autologous Protein Solution kit (APS leukocyte-rich-PRP), we investigated the concentrations of humoral factors in PRPs prepared from the two kits and the effect of humoral factors on macrophage phenotypes. We found that the concentrations of cell components and humoral factors differed between PRPs purified using the two kits; APS had a higher concentration of M1 and M2 macrophage related factors. The addition of PRP supernatants to the culture media of monocyte-derived macrophages and M1 polarized macrophages revealed that PRPs suppressed M1 macrophage polarization and promoted M2 macrophage polarization. This research is the first to report the effect of PRPs purified using commercial kits on macrophage polarization.  相似文献

A lightning strength parameter α (denoted as LSP or LAIDO), which is used for characterizing the phenomena of lightning activity, has been proposed, where α is defined by the characteristic energy obtained from the energy distribution of a radiated field component E in the electrostatic field changes produced by lightning discharge. Here, it is observed that the energy distribution of Eγ components is Maxwellian type. To prove more clearly the forementioned assumption from another viewpoint, changes of the amplitudes of the electrostatic field component ES were measured and their distribution functions constructed. In the cloud-to-ground lightning discharges, the ES components have a positive sign in the changes. However, those changes in the intercloud discharges are observed with either a negative or positive change depending on the distance between the striking point and the observation site. Therefore it is necessary to sum the numbers of occurrences of both positive and negative components for constructing an energy distribution of the ES component. A fieldmill and a pair of doughnut-shaped electrostatic antennas are used in measuring the changes of the ES component. As a result it is found that the changes of the amplitudes of the ES components have a Maxwelliantype energy distribution. A characteristic energy β is defined which is obtained from the component of the electrostatic fields as a measure of LSP. Based on comparison of α and β it is clarified that β has the same characteristic nature with α. The lightning activity could be estimated from β.  相似文献

Anti-mucin1 (MUC1) antibodies have been widely used for breast cancer diagnosis and treatment. This is based on the fact that MUC1 undergoes aberrant glycosylation upon cancer progression, and anti-MUC1 antibodies differentiate changes in glycan structure. MY.1E12 is a promising anti-MUC1 antibody with a distinct specificity toward MUC1 modified with an immature O-glycan (NeuAcα(2-3)Galβ(1-3)GalNAc) on a specific Thr. However, the structural basis for the interaction between MY.1E12 and MUC1 remains unclear. The aim of this study is to elucidate the mode of interaction between MY.1E12 and MUC1 O-glycopeptide by NMR, molecular dynamics (MD) and docking simulations. NMR titration using MUC1 O-glycopeptides suggests that the epitope is located within the O-linked glycan and near the O-glycosylation site. MD simulations of MUC1 glycopeptide showed that the O-glycosylation significantly limits the flexibility of the peptide backbone and side chain of the O-glycosylated Thr. Docking simulations using modeled MY.1E12 Fv and MUC1 O-glycopeptide, suggest that VH mainly contributes to the recognition of the MUC1 peptide portion while VL mainly binds to the O-glycan part. The VH/VL-shared recognition mode of this antibody may be used as a template for the rational design and development of anti-glycopeptide antibodies.  相似文献
