ABSTRACT

It is important to perform neutron transport simulations with accurate nuclear data in the neutronics design of a fusion reactor. However, absolute values of large-angle scattering cross sections vary among nuclear data libraries even for well-examined nuclide of iron. Benchmark experiments focusing on large-angle scattering cross sections were thus performed to confirm the correctness of nuclear data libraries. The series benchmark experiments were performed at a DT neutron source facility, OKTAVIAN of Osaka University, Japan, by the unique experimental system established by the authors’ group, which can extract only the contribution of large-angle scattering reactions. This system consists of two shadow bars, target plate (iron), and neutron detector (niobium). Two types of shadow bars were used and four irradiations were conducted for one experiment, so that contribution of room-return neutrons was effectively removed and only large-angle scattering neutrons were extracted from the measured four Nb reaction rates. The obtained experimental results were compared with calculations for five nuclear data libraries including JENDL-4.0, JEFF.-3.3, FENDL-3.1, ENDF/B- VII, and recently released ENDF/B-VIII. It was found from the comparison that ENDF/B-VIII showed the best result, though ENDF/B-VII showed overestimation and others are in large underestimation at 14 MeV.  相似文献

To theoretically explore amorphous materials with a sufficiently low dielectric loss, which are essential for next-generation communication devices, the applicability of a nonequilibrium molecular dynamics simulation employing an external alternating electric field was examined using alkaline silicate glass models. In this method, the dielectric loss is directly evaluated as the phase shift of the dipole moment from the applied electric field. This method enabled us to evaluate the dielectric loss in a wide frequency range from 1 GHz to 10 THz. It was observed that the dielectric loss reaches its maximum at a few THz. The simulation method was found to qualitatively reproduce the effects of alkaline content and alkaline type on the dielectric loss. Furthermore, it reasonably reproduced the effect of mixed alkalines on the dielectric loss, which was observed in our experiments on sodium and/or potassium silicate glasses. Alkaline mixing was thus found to reduce the dielectric loss.  相似文献

Some reports demonstrated successful genome editing in pigs by one-step zygote microinjection of mRNA of CRISPR/Cas9-related components. Given the relatively long gestation periods and the high cost of housing, the establishment of a single blastocyst-based assay for rapid optimization of the above system is required. As a proof-of-concept, we attempted to disrupt a gene (GGTA1) encoding the α-1,3-galactosyltransferase that synthesizes the α-Gal epitope using parthenogenetically activated porcine oocytes. The lack of α-Gal epitope expression can be monitored by staining with fluorescently labeled isolectin BS-I-B4 (IB4), which binds specifically to the α-Gal epitope. When oocytes were injected with guide RNA specific to GGTA1 together with enhanced green fluorescent protein (EGFP) and human Cas9 mRNAs, 65% (24/37) of the developing blastocysts exhibited green fluorescence, although almost all (96%, 23/24) showed a mosaic fluorescent pattern. Staining with IB4 revealed that the green fluorescent area often had a reduced binding activity to IB4. Of the 16 samples tested, six (five fluorescent and one non-fluorescent blastocysts) had indel mutations, suggesting a correlation between EGFP expression and mutation induction. Furthermore, it is suggested that zygote microinjection of mRNAs might lead to the production of piglets with cells harboring various mutation types.  相似文献

Lanthanide-based oxysulfides and sulfide, LnTaO3.5S0.5, Ln10OS14 (Ln = La, Pr, Nd, Sm) and La4In5S13, were successively synthesized by sulfurization in a flowing H2S. The sulfurization decreased the band-gap energies from >4 eV to <3eV, because of the formation of occupied S3p orbitals on the top of valence band. In accordance with the small band gap, the H2 evolution from a 0.01 M Na2S and 0.01 M Na2SO3 solution system was observed under irradiation of light up to >500 nm. The rate of H2 evolution under light irradiation of >500 nm increased in the order of Ni/LaTaO3.5S0.5 < Ru/La10OS14 < Pt/La4In5S13.  相似文献

A method is proposed for a simultaneous measurement of the resistivity and permeability of a film inserted between two coils facing each other. Connecting in series, the total impedance of the coils was measured in two ways, i.e., 1) the current passes through the coils in the same direction, and 2) the current passes through each coil in opposite directions to each other. The resistivity and permeability of the film were simultaneously obtained from the difference in the impedance for the two cases. It was theoretically found that the optimum frequency for high accuracy in the measurement was proportional to the resistivity and inversely proportional to a thickness of a sample film. The results of the simultaneous measurements of the resistivity and permeability of nickel films of a thickness ranging from 0.01-0.08 mm at a frequency range of 1-100 kHz are shown in this paper. The measured values of the resistivity and permeability with this method agreed with the values obtained by conventional methods, i.e., the dc four-probe method for the resistivity measurement and the toroidal coil method for the permeability measurement  相似文献

1. Vasoconstrictor responses of the isolated and perfused canine epicardial coronary artery to uridine 5'-triphosphate (UTP) were analysed pharmacologically. 2. At basal perfusion pressure, UTP induced vasoconstriction in a dose-related manner and the vasoconstriction was sometimes followed by a slight vasodilatation at large doses (more than 10 nmol). The rank order of potency for vasoconstriction was UTP = UDP > ATP > TTP > or = ITP > UMP. At raised perfusion pressure by 20 mM KCl, the vasoconstriction was not changed and a small vasodilatation was induced at large doses. The rank order of potency for vasodilatation was induced at large doses. The rank order of potency for vasodilatation was ATP > ITP > or = UDP > UTP > or = TTP. The maximal vasodilator response to UTP was much less than that to ATP. UMP did not induce vasodilatation. 3. The P2X receptor agonist and desensitizing agent alpha, beta-methylene ATP (1 microM) and the P2 receptor antagonist suramin (100 microM) inhibited the vasoconstrictor responses to ATP but not those to UTP and UDP. The P2 receptor antagonist reactive blue 2 (30 microM) did not inhibit the vascular responses to UTP. 4. UTP (200 microM) desensitized the vasoconstrictor responses to UTP, but not either the vasodilator responses to UTP or the vasoconstrictor responses to ATP and UDP. UDP (200 microM) did not desensitize the vascular responses to UTP. 5. Preincubating the UDP stock solution and arterial preparation with hexokinase (10 and 1 uml-1, respectively) did not change the vasoconstrictor responses to UDP. 6. The Ca channel blocker diltiazem (1 microM) inhibited the vasoconstrictor responses to UTP but not those to ATP and UDP. Incubation in a Ca(2+)-free solution containing 1 mM EGTA inhibited the vascular responses to ATP, UTP and UDP. 7. Removal of the endothelium by an intraluminal injection of saponin (1 mg) inhibited the vasodilator responses to UTP. Indomethacin, a cyclo-oxygenase inhibitor (1 microM), inhibited the vasodilator responses to UTP, but NG-nitro-L-arginine, a nitric oxide synthase inhibitor (300 microM), did not have an inhibitory effect. 8. The results suggest that (1) UTP induces vasoconstriction via UTP-preferring P2Y receptors on the smooth muscle and vasodilatation via receptors different from those mediating the vasoconstriction induced by UTP and mediating the vasodilatation by ATP on the endothelium, through mainly the release of prostacyclin in the canine epicardial coronary artery; (2) UDP induces vasoconstriction via UDP-preferring P2Y receptors; and (3) L-type Ca ion channels are involved in the vasoconstriction induced by UTP, but not in that induced by UDP.  相似文献

An effective method for the measurement of the magnetic susceptibility (χ) of a circular rod-shaped superconductor, in which χ is estimated by substituting the magnetic penetration depth (λ) into a formula after obtaining λ from the difference in the impedance between a solenoid coil with a sample and an identical one without a sample, is proposed. Various liquid polybutadiene derivatives were examined as modifiers to improve the brittleness of phenolic resins. Amidated polybutadienes obtained from a maleinated polybutadiene and ammonia had the highest curing tendency when they were reacted with resole under mild conditions. The cured resins were homogeneous and the brittleness of the phenolic resins was remarkably improved. Crosslinking efficiency was closely related to the succinamic acid group of the amidated polybutadiene. Thermal behavior of the succinamic acid group was also related to the effects of curing temperature and curing time on crosslinking. From these observations, cross-condensation between the succinamic acid group of an amidated polybutadiene and resole seemed to have occurred to a great extent than the self-condensation of resole itself and oxidative crosslinking of the amidated polybutadiene.  相似文献

Upon the application of amperometric biosensor to the biological fluid, ascorbic acid interferes the amperometric determination of analytes, because the oxidative potential of ascorbic acid is lower than that of electro active substances such as H2O2 produced by the enzymatic reaction. In this study we propose a method to block ascorbic acid based on the electrostatic interaction with self-assembled monolayer (SAM) and its application of the surface modified electrode to biosensor. In order to form SAM on the gold electrode with carboxyl group, 7-carboxy-heptanethiol (7-CHT) was used. The 7-CHT modified electrode did not show anodic response to ascorbic acid, but oxidized phenanthroline cobalt complex [Co(phen)32+], which can be used as a mediator of biosensor. Thus, the 7CHT-modified electrode was applied to biosensor mediated with Co(phen)32+. Fructose dehydrogenase (FDH) was immobilized to the 7-CHT modified electrode. Fructose was determined selectively with the FDH/7-CHT modified electrode at the range of 0.2-2 mM.  相似文献

Photonic crystals with a diamond structure of epoxy lattices in which TiO2-based ceramic particles are dispersed were fabricated by stereolithography. The periodicity of the lattice was designed to reflect electromagnetic waves in the gigahertz range. The volume fraction (β) of the dielectric lattice medium was modified from 14% to 33% by changing the rod diameter of the lattice. The photonic band gap was observed along Γ-L 〈111〉, Γ-X 〈100〉, and Γ-K 〈110〉 directions and the complete photonic band gap was formed at over β= 20%. The width of the forbidden gap increased gradually when the β increased over 14%, and reached 2.4 GHz at β= 33%. These results agreed with the band calculation using the plane wave expansion method.  相似文献
