Seven fatty acid derivatives containing one or two butenolide moieties along with ancepsenolide [1], a known bis-butenolide of marine origin, were isolated from the Caribbean gorgonian Pterogorgia citrina. The structures of the new metabolites were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic data and were confirmed upon chemical conversion to either ancepsenolide or to its homolog, homoancepsenolide [4].  相似文献

We have studied the effect of Yajima's synthetic motilin on the lower esophageal sphincter (LES) of the opossum and compared its potency to that of gastrin and its interaction with secretin. Dose-response curves for the LES were constructed from the intravenous bolus injection of graded doses of motilin and gastrin alone and motilin given against a background infusion of secretin. The smallest dose of motilin that elicited a significant response was 0.05 microng/kg, and the highest response was observed with the highest dose used in this study (1.0 microng/kg). Over a wide dose range, both motilin and gastrin were found to be equally potent in stimulating the LES of the opposum, and secretin caused inhibition of the LES pressure to motilin. Therefore, we conclude that (1) motilin is a potent stimulant of the LES; (2) this response is dose dependent; (3) motilin's potency is similar to that of gastrin; and (4) secretin counteracts the effect of motilin on the LES.  相似文献

Application of the Sb-doping method to low-temperature (≤ 400 °C) processing of CuIn1 − xGaxSe2 − ySy (CIGS) solar cells is explored, using a hydrazine-based approach to deposit the absorber films. Power conversion efficiencies of 10.5% and 8.4% have been achieved for CIGS devices (0.45 cm2 device area) processed at 400 °C and 360 °C, respectively, with an Sb-incorporation level at 1.2 mol % (relative to the moles of CIGS). Significant Sb-induced grain size enhancement was confirmed for these low processing temperatures using cross-sectional scanning electron microscopy, and an average 2-3% absolute efficiency improvement was achieved in Sb-doped samples compared to their Sb-free sister samples. With Sb inclusion, the CIGS film grain growth temperature is lowered to well below 450 °C, a range compatible with flexible polymer substrate materials such as polyimide. This method opens up access to opportunities in low-temperature processing of CIGS solar cells, an area that is being actively pursued using both traditional vacuum-based as well as other solution-based deposition techniques.  相似文献

The effects of cisapride and renzapride (BRL 24924), on plasma concentration of motilin and gastroduodenal motility were studied in seven dogs with implanted force transducers in the antrum and duodenum. In the interdigestive state, the i.v. administration of cisapride (5 mg) or renzapride (5 mg) administered in phase I resulted in a prompt and marked increase in plasma motilin concentration and in gastroduodenal motility. Mean plasma motilin levels during the first 30 min after cisapride and after renzapride injection were 85.0 +/- 6.5 (+/- S.E.) and 96.1 +/- 6.3 pM., respectively. These values were significantly greater (P < .001) than those for the corresponding time period of the control cycle, 52.2 +/- 5.6 and 57.4 +/- 5.3 pM (mean phase III level, 120 +/- 8.1 pM), respectively. The increases in the motilin level after cisapride or renzapride coincided with significant increases in contractile activities of the antrum to 43.2 +/- 5.3% and 44.9 +/- 4.6% and of the duodenum to 28.4 +/- 3.1% and 34.2 +/- 2.2% of phase III activity (100%) from that in the corresponding control period, 0.7 +/- 0.4% and 0.2 +/- 0.1%, respectively. The changes in both plasma motilin and motility in response to the two drugs were abolished completely by the i.v. administration of atropine. The drugs also enhanced the meal-induced contractile activities of the antrum as well as the duodenum but failed to influence the postprandial plasma motilin concentration. We conclude that cisapride and renzapride have similar effects on plasma motilin and gastroduodenal motility: 1) the two drugs increase plasma motilin levels and stimulate gastroduodenal motility in the interdigestive state, and 2) in the digestive state, both drugs enhance motility without influencing the plasma motilin levels.  相似文献

Plant sterols (PSs) cannot be synthesized in mammals and are exclusively diet-derived. PSs cross the blood-brain barrier and may have anti-neuroinflammatory effects. Obesity is linked to lower intestinal uptake and blood levels of PSs, but its effects in terms of neuroinflammation—if any—remain unknown. We investigated the effect of high-fat diet-induced obesity on PSs in the brain and the effects of the PSs campesterol and β-sitosterol on in vitro microglia activation. Sterols (cholesterol, precursors, PSs) and polyunsaturated fatty acid-derived lipid mediators were measured in the food, blood, liver and brain of C57BL/6J mice. Under a PSs-poor high-fat diet, PSs levels decreased in the blood, liver and brain (>50%). This effect was reversible after 2 weeks upon changing back to a chow diet. Inflammatory thromboxane B2 and prostaglandin D2 were inversely correlated to campesterol and β-sitosterol levels in all brain regions. PSs content was determined post mortem in human cortex samples as well. In vitro, PSs accumulate in lipid rafts isolated from SIM-A9 microglia cell membranes. In summary, PSs levels in the blood, liver and brain were associated directly with PSs food content and inversely with BMI. PSs dampen pro-inflammatory lipid mediators in the brain. The identification of PSs in the human cortex in comparable concentration ranges implies the relevance of our findings for humans.  相似文献
