Using an Al-Mg-Cu alloy developed for auto body panels, strip sheets are experimentally produced by various cold-rolling and annealing procedures. Tensile and metallographic properties of the sheets and their relations are examined to attain high formability. The elongation is closely related to the grain size, and increases with the final annealing temperature. The rolling texture influences the plastic anisotropy, the Lankford value of the sheets. The comparatively high Lankford values are obtained under the condition that both the intermediate and the final annealing temperatures are higher and the reduction ratio after the intermediate annealing is smaller.  相似文献

Thermal expansion behaviors of a Si3N4-whisker-reinforced sodaborosilicate glass matrix composite are studied. An abrupt increase of the coefficient of thermal expansion is observed and is attributed to formation of crystobalite in the sodaborosilicate glass matrix. The deoxidation equilibrium of molten titanium and titanium-aluminum alloys saturated with solid CaO has been measured in the temperature range from 1823 to 2023 K. The equilibrium constant of reaction CaO (s)=Ca (mass pct in Ti,Ti-Al)+O (mass pct in Ti,Ti-Al) and the interaction parameter between calcium and oxygen were determined for Ti, TiAl, and TiAl3. The standard Gibbs energy of reaction for TiAl was obtained as follows: $$\Delta G^\circ = 279,000 - 103TJ/mol$$ The possibilities for the deoxidation of titanium and titanium-aluminum alloys by using calcium-based fluxes are discussed.  相似文献

The mussel Mytilus edulis and the cultured ark shell Anadara broughtonii in the southeast coasts of the Seto Inland Sea were contaminated with paralytic shellfish poison (PSP) following the appearance of the dinoflagellate Alexandrium tamiyavanichii in early December 1999. A. tamiyavanichii plankton collected around the Straits of Naruto on December 3, 1999 showed PSP toxicity, of which 83 mol% was accounted for by GTX2, GTX3 and GTX4. Its specific toxicity was 112.5 fmol/cell, and one MU was equivalent to 7,200 cells. Toxicity values at the beginning of toxification were 4.7 MU/g for the ark shell and 7.3 MU/g for the mussel. In the former, the value remained at almost 4 MU/g, resulting in prohibition of marketing for about two months. In the latter, it sharply decreased to less than 4 MU/g. These bivalves collected during the toxification period were dissected into five tissues, mantle, adductor muscle, hepatopancreas, gills and "others", and submitted to high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The cultured ark shell accumulated GTX2, GTX3 and STX as major components and GTX1, GTX4, GTX5, neoSTX, dcSTX and PX1-3 (C1-C3) as minor ones. The amount of GTX3 decreased with time, while STX tended to increase. At the early stage of PSP toxification, toxins were accumulated in the gills and "others", most of which were quickly detoxified. On the other hand, PSP of the toxified mussel consisted of GTX4 as a main component, and GTX1, GTX2, GTX3, GTX5, STX and PX1-2 (C1-C2) as minor ones. Its toxin composition pattern was similar to that of the ingested causative plankton. Its total toxin decreased soon after disappearance of the dinoflagellate. During the decrease of toxicity, PSP tended to be retained in the hepatopancreas, resulting in accumulation of 50 mol% of total toxin.  相似文献

Infrared transmission spectra of C60 multilayers on thin Pd films deposited onto surface-oxidized Si(100) and hydrogen-terminated Si(111) substrates are reported. In both cases, the spectra in the 1500–1100 cm−1 region exhibited bands at 1444, 1429, and 1182 cm−1 due, respectively, to the Ag (2), T1u (4), and T1u (3) modes. The appearance of the Ag (2) mode, which is originally infrared inactive (Raman active), reveals electron transfer from the metal to chemisorbed C60. Indeed, increasing the thickness of C60, the Ag (2) mode intensity saturated more rapidly than the T1u (4) and T1u (3) modes. The originally infrared active T1u (4) and T1u (3) modes were enhanced in intensity depending upon the Pd thickness. Actually, while both substrates gave nearly the same magnitude of enhancement, the optimum Pd thickness was smaller on the hydrogen-terminated surface than on the surface-oxidized surface. On the other hand, the Ag (2) mode was less intense on the hydrogen-terminated surface than on the oxidized surface, suggestive of a shortage of chemisorbed C60 and thus pointing out the importance of the metal film morphology. Indeed, Pd films deposited on the two substrates gave rise to quite different AFM images. We also show that, regardless of the substrate, the Ag (2) mode is an order of magnitude smaller than for Ag deposition, though no remarkable intensity differences were observed with respect to the T1u (4) and T1u (3) modes.  相似文献

To establish an in vivo experimental system for developmental endocrinology research, AtT-20 cells, a corticotropic tumor cell line, were transplanted by exo utero manipulation into mouse embryos on embryonic day 14. The induced tumor secreted ACTH in situ, and the circulating ACTH level was elevated. This was the first model for studying the regulation of ACTH in the mouse fetal adrenal in vivo and the first continuous ACTH treatment model in rodent fetuses. The changes in the adrenal gland from the tumor-induced embryos were analyzed by light microscopic morphometry, immunohistochemistry for steroidogenic enzymes, and electron microscopy. In the treated adrenal, the volume of the inner cortical zone was significantly larger than that in controls. In the inner zone, cell density was decreased, and average cell size was increased, whereas bromodeoxyuridine-incorporation was not increased. The enlarged inner zone cells expressed an enhanced level of cytochrome P45011beta, the corticosterone-synthesizing enzyme, and the serum corticosterone level was increased. Electron microscopy showed an active form of the organelles involved in steroidogenesis. These findings indicate that ACTH stimulates both adrenocortical hypertrophy and steroidogenesis in fetal mice. Potential perspectives of the novel paradigm in this research for molecular developmental endocrine study are discussed.  相似文献

Goal theory postulates that harder goals lead to higher performance than do easier goals. The present study tested the prediction, based on expectancy valence theory, that this would be true only if the payoff for succeeding at the harder goal is sufficiently greater than the alternatives to compensate for its greater difficulty. 63 undergraduates were each given an easy and a hard task/goal, requiring the comparison of paired sets of 3-digit numbers. Expectancy theory measures for the 2 goals were obtained from Ss. Performance was higher for the hard goal than for the easy goal, supporting the goal theory postulate. Force was also higher for the hard goal than for the easy goal. In addition, force change across the 2 goals was associated with performance change, supporting the conclusion that expectancy valence theory can predict the goal theory postulate. The valence of goal attainment was higher for the hard goal than for the easy goal. Valence change across the 2 goals was associated with performance change to a greater degree than was expectancy change, suggesting that the attained performance difference can be attributed to the valence difference. Polymer-based strong cation-exchange monolithic capillary columns with different capacities were constructed for ion chromatography by radical polymerization of glycidyl methacrylate (GMA) and ethylene dimethacrylate in a 250-microm-i.d. fused-silica capillary and its subsequent sulfonation based on ring opening of epoxides with 1 M Na(2)SO(3). The cation-exchange capacities can easily and reproducibly be controlled in the range of up to 300 microequiv/mL by changing the immersion time of the epoxy-containing polymer in the Na(2)SO(3) solution. The chromatographic performance of the produced monolithic capillary columns was evaluated through the separation of a model mixture of common cations such as Na(+), NH(4)(+), K(+), Mg(2+), and Ca(2+). As an example, these cations could be well separated from one another on a 15-cm-long cation-exchange monolithic column (column volume, 7.4 microL) with a capacity of 150 microequiv/mL by elution with 10 mM CuSO(4). The pressure drop of this 15-cm column was approximately 1 MPa at a normal linear velocity of 1 mm/s (a flow rate of 3 microL/min), and the numbers of theoretical plates for the cations were above 3000 plates/15 cm. This GMA-based cation-exchange monolithic column could withstand high linear velocities of at least 10 mm/s. Over a period of at least two weeks of continuous use, no significant changes in the selectivity and resolution were observed. The applicability of a flow rate gradient elution and the feasibility of direct injection determination of major cations in human saliva sample were also presented.  相似文献

Normal-incidence infrared absorption has been observed for silver overlaid C(60) thin films formed on surface-oxidized Si(111) substrates as a function of the silver or C(60) film thickness. The absorption spectra exhibit bands at 1429 and 1180 cm(-1) due, respectively, to the infrared active T(lu) (4) and T(lu) (3) modes of C(60) in multi-layers. Additionally, two bands appear at 1442 and 1370 cm(-1). The former band is caused by activation of the infrared inactive (Raman active) A(g) (2) mode via electron transfer from the silver to adsorbed C(60), and the latter is assigned to the T(1u) (4) mode red-shifted by the charge transfer. These bands are all enhanced in intensity dependent either upon the silver or C(60) thickness, i.e., the largest absorption enhancement is obtained for 25-monolayers-thick silver and 12-nm-thick C(60). Under atomic force microprobe inspection, the average size and height of the islands in the overlaid 25-monolayers-thick silver change with underlying C(60) film thickness. The influence of the C(60) film structure upon the silver film and in turn the absorption intensity is strongly suggested.  相似文献
