Abstract

Ba0.95Ca0.05Ti1-xZrxO3 (BCTZO) ceramics were prepared by a solid state reaction method. The samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray absorption near edge structure (XANES). The ceramics exhibit a pure perovskite structure. The average grain size gradually decreases with increasing Zr concentration. XANES results indicate that the intensities of pre-edge peaks dropped with increasing Zr concentration. The BCTZO ceramic of x?=?0.05 has the optimum electrical properties with the maximum dielectric constant (ε'm), remanent polarization (2Pr), coercive electric field (2Ec) and piezoelectric charge constant (d33) of 7,244, 12.54 (μC/cm2), 5.29 (kV/cm) and 288 (pC/N), respectively.  相似文献

Separation of yttrium ions from the mixture of rare earths in lanthanide series has been examined by a microporous hydrophobic hollow fiber supported liquid membrane. Cyanex 272 and TBP in kerosene are used separately as an extractant. Nitric acid solution is used as a stripping solution. Increasing the concentration of Cyanex 272 increases the percentages of extraction and stripping of yttrium from rare earths but slightly percentages are obtained by TBP. Interestingly, when TBP is added with Cyanex 272, the percentages of extraction and stripping increases. This is due to the synergistic effect of the extractants. Moreover, yttrium can be selectively extracted and stripped more than other lanthanide ions because the equilibrium constant decreases with an increase in atomic number or decreases with the ionic radius of the lanthanides. In other words, yttrium is separated selectively due to the smallest ionic radius while other lanthanides are separated with a decrease in ionic radius or an increase in atomic number.  相似文献

Power consumption is a critical problem affecting the lifetime of wireless sensor networks. A number of techniques have been proposed to solve this issue, such as energy-efficient medium access control or routing protocols. Among those proposed techniques, the data compression scheme is one that can be used to reduce transmitted data over wireless channels. This technique leads to a reduction in the required inter-node communication, which is the main power consumer in wireless sensor networks. In this article, a comprehensive review of existing data compression approaches in wireless sensor networks is provided. First, suitable sets of criteria are defined to classify existing techniques as well as to determine what practical data compression in wireless sensor networks should be. Next, the details of each classified compression category are described. Finally, their performance, open issues, limitations and suitable applications are analyzed and compared based on the criteria of practical data compression in wireless sensor networks.  相似文献

Organophilic montmorillonite intercalants were prepared by a cation‐exchange process between Na+ ions of montmorillonite and ammonium salt of octadecylamine. Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectrometry and X‐ray diffraction analyses of the compounds were carried out. The layer spacings of both modified and unmodified montmorillonites were calculated with Bragg's law. FTIR and X‐ray profiles showed organophilic characteristics for the modified montmorillonite, the layer spacing of which increased by two orders of magnitude with respect to that of the unmodified montmorillonite. The prepared organoclay was incorporated into an alkyd‐based clear coating, and X‐ray profiles showed an exfoliated structure for the organoclay alkyd coating. The application of the prepared organoclay to alkyd‐based clear coatings showed a significant enhancement of the hardness and impact strength of the coating film compared with those of unmodified montmorillonite equally incorporated into the coating formulations. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
