In this article, a new extension of affine arithmetic is introduced. This technique is based on a quadratic form named general quadratic form. We focus here on the computation of reliable bounds of a function over a hypercube by using this new tool. Some properties
of first quadratic functions and then polynomial ones are reported. In order to show the efficiency of such a method, ten
polynomial global optimization problems are presented and solved by using an interval branch-and-bound based algorithm.

Effect of combined microwave (MW) and enzymatic hydrolysis on the human immunoglobulin E (IgE)-binding properties of ??-lactoglobulin (??-lg) and other whey proteins (WP) was investigated. Separated ??-lg and full whey protein isolate (WPI) were hydrolyzed with trypsin, chymotrypsin, mixture of trypsin/chymotrypsin, and pepsin at three microwave power levels: 50?W during 1 and 5?min, 100 and 200?W during 1 and 3?min. The immunoreactivity of the obtained hydrolysates resulting from combined microwave protease treatment was assessed using sera of young patients allergic to bovine whey proteins. The application of microwave treatment at 200?W enhances the hydrolysis of ??-lg by pepsin in 3?min and decreases significantly its immunoreactivity. The extensive hydrolysis of the microwave-treated ??-lg and WPI with trypsin, chymotrypsin, and the mixture of trypsin with chymotrypsin did not have an impact on the IgE binding of the products obtained in all the studied conditions. 相似文献

The corrosion inhibition of C38 steel in molar HCl by N,N-bis[2-(3,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)ethyl]buthylamine (P1) and 5-{N,N-bis[2-(3,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)ethyl] amino} pentanol (P2) has been investigated at 308 K using electrochemical and
weight loss measurements. Measurements show that these compounds act as good inhibitors without changing the mechanism of
the corrosion process. Moreover, the inhibiting efficiency increases with the increase in concentration of the studied inhibitors.
Compound P2 showed better protection properties even at relatively higher temperatures when compared to P1. The associated
activation corrosion and free adsorption energies have been determined. P1 and P2 are adsorbed on the C38 steel surface according

The 2-propargyl-5-o-hydroxyphenyltetrazole (PHPT) has been tested as corrosion inhibitor for low carbon steel in simulated cooling water. The polarization curves showed that PHPT acts as mixed-type inhibitor. Its inhibition efficiency was found to enhance with increase of the inhibitor concentration and immersion time due to the formation of the inhibitor film on the metal surface as indicated by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy measurements.To complete the formulation further, a non oxidizing biocide was added. Its presence with PHPT does not affect its inhibitory performance and it can be served as a basic component of the formulation for cooling water system. 相似文献

Many processing parameters can be adjusted to optimize the fused filament fabrication (FFF) process, a popular and widely used additive manufacturing techniques for plastic materials. Among those easily adjusted parameters are the nozzle temperature, printing speed, raster orientation, and layer thicknesses. Using poly(ether ether ketone) (PEEK) as the base material, a design of experiments analysis was performed on the main FFF parameters. A response surface methodology was applied to analyze the results and to maximize the output responses. Results have shown that the nozzle temperature is the most influential parameter on tensile properties and the crystallinity degree of printed PEEK by FFF process. Parts produced with optimized FFF parameters were then subjected to an annealing treatment to induce a relaxation of residual stress and to enhance crystallinity. The best properties for 3D printed PEEK parts were achieved with annealed parts prepared at 400°C with a printing speed of 30 mm/s, 0.15 mm layer thickness and raster orientation of [0°/15°/−15°]. The effect of thymoquinone (TQ), the abundant component of black cumin seed (Nigella sativa) oil extract, was evaluated on 1,2-dimethylhydrazine (DMH)-induced erythrocyte oxidative stress and haematological perturbations during colon cancer promotion in rats. Two TQ approaches, the pre- and post-treatment, were used. DMH promoted erythrocyte oxidative damage in rats by enhancing lipid peroxidation (30%) and decreasing antioxidant enzymes activities (20–35%). This was associated with the decline of erythrocyte count, haemoglobin concentration and haematocrit (20%) and the count increase of white blood cell (60%) and platelet (180%). TQ pre-treatment repaired DMH-induced erythrocyte oxidative stress, anaemia, leukocytosis, and thrombocytosis and allowed a 60% of tumour incidence decline. TQ post-treatment exerted a slight effect on erythrocyte oxidative stress and reduced colon cancer incidence by 30% only. Thus, TQ efficacy in preventing DMH-induced colon cancer promotion was related to its virtue antioxidant effect on erythrocyte oxidative stress. 相似文献

We investigate in this work the chemical composition by GC–EIMS, the antibacterial and the cytotoxic activities of Tunisian Nigella sativa essential oil and its bioactive compound, thymoquinone, were tested against various clinical cariogenic bacteria (n = 30). Eighty-four compounds were identified in the essential oil. The major one was p-cymene (49.48%) whereas thymoquinone represented only 0.79%. The essential oil (2.43 mg/disc) containing only 3.35 μg of thymoquinone showed pronounced dose dependant antibacterial activity against Streptococcus mitis, Streptococcus mutans, Streptococcus constellatus and Gemella haemolysans (15.5 ± 0.707 mm). However, pure thymoquinone compound (150 μg/disk) was active against all the studied strains especially S. mutans and S. mitis (24.5 ± 0.71 and 22 ± 1.41 mm inhibition zones, respectively). 相似文献

Interfacial tension between the two phases formed by the partially miscible system composed of butanol-1 and water has been investigated. Using the method of drop volume tensiometry, the effect of a surface-active agent, sodium dodecyl sulfate, on interfacial tension was investigated. Addition of surfactant to the butanol-rich phase, which forms the droplet, has been found to bring about a decrease in interfacial tension the magnitude of which was influenced by the time of contact. When the surfactant was added to the aqueous (bulk) phase, the decrease in interfacial tension was greater and it was equal to that observed when the surfactant was added to both phases. It is concluded that the orientation of phases in the instrument has an important effect on the apparent interfacial tension observed. 相似文献
