This paper describes a method for texture based segmentation. Texture features are extracted by applying a bank of Gabor filters using two-sided convolution strategy. Probability texture model is represented by Gaussian mixture that is trained with the Expectation-maximization algorithm. Texture similarity, obtained this way, is used like the input of a Graph cut method. We show that the combination of texture analysis and the Graph cut method produce good results.  相似文献

Ti-Al based intermetallic alloys are promising for various applications in aerospace and automobile industry. Their favorable properties, such as low density and good corrosion resistance, are accompanied on the other hand by low toughness and very difficult metallurgy. One of the possibilities to improve the toughness of Ti-46Al-5Nb-1W (,, at. fraction) alloy consists in change of their microstructure into lamellar microstructure, which can be reached moreover by directional crystallization. This experiment is described in this paper. Samples of the Ti-46Al-5Nb-1W (,, at. fraction) alloy prepared by plasma and vacuum-induction metallurgy were subjected to directional crystallization. Cooling rates were constant and ranged from 5.56 × 10-6 m/s to 1.18 × 10 -4 m/s. Directional crystallization has been accomplished in ceramic tubes made of corundum-Al2O3. The samples were studied by metallographic and chemical analysis.Lamellar microstructure of the samples was found to consist of α2- and γ-phase lamellas. Moreover, ceramic particles Al2O3 were found to be present in the samples. Distribution of the alloying elements in the samples was homogenous.  相似文献

The carrier lifetime is a very important parameter influencing all important characteristics of bipolar devices both discrete and integrated structures and carrier lifetime tailoring is an important part of power semiconductor device technology. In presented paper, recombination through traps (centres with a deep energy level between edge of bandgap and Fermi level) is discussed in more details. It has been shown that some traps can considerably influence recombination rate in silicon and that at some traps a considerable temperature dependence of the centre cross-sections may be found. This is demonstrated in the case of iridium traps with a deep energy level 0.28 eV below the conduction band which capture cross-section temperature dependence has been found σpnT−6.5. Further, the problem on low injection carrier lifetime in low-doped layers of high voltage semiconductor devices is also discussed.  相似文献

Stromal cell-derived factor-1 (SDF-1), a C-X-C family chemokine, is a potent T lymphocyte chemoattractant. We investigated the effects of T cell activation on the chemotactic response to SDF-1. Anti-CD3 Ab stimulation of either Jurkat T cells or murine peripheral CD4+ T lymphocytes produced a dramatic inhibition of SDF-1-induced chemotaxis. In contrast, the SDF-1 responses of Jurkat clones with deficiencies in key TCR signaling components (Lck, CD45, and TCR-beta), were only marginally reduced by anti-CD3 stimulation. Similar to PMA treatment, which abolished both CXCR4 receptor expression and the chemotactic response of Jurkat cells to SDF-1, anti-CD3 Ab treatment reduced cell surface expression of CXCR4 to 65% of the control value, an effect that was blocked by protein kinase C inhibitors. Our data suggest that initial T cell activation events inhibit the response of Jurkat T cells to CXCR4 stimulation. In contrast, SDF-1 treatment resulted in a reduction of tyrosine phosphorylation of the TCR downstream effectors, ZAP-70, SLP-76, and LAT (linker for activation of T cells), suggesting that this chemokine potentially regulates the threshold for T cell activation.  相似文献

In most eukaryotic cells, entry into mitosis is tightly controlled and requires completely replicated and undamaged DNA. We show that the antitumor drug, fostricin, interferes with this control; it induces cycling cells to enter mitosis prematurely, and it can overcome the mitotic entry checkpoint, forcing into mitosis cells that were arrested in the division cycle by treatment with the DNA replication inhibitor aphidicolin or with the DNA-damaging agents camptothecin and teniposide. This effect was observed in all rodent, simian, and human cell lines tested. Fostriecin also hampers progression through the later stages of mitosis as determined by the absence of normal half-spindles, anaphase figures, and telophase figures. The only previously known target for fostriecin is topoisomerase II, which is inhibited in vitro with a 50% inhibitory concentration of 40 microM (T. J. Boritzki, T. S. Wolfard, J. A. Besserer, R. C. Jackson, and D. W. Fry. Inhibition of type II topoisomerase by fostriecin. Biochem. Pharmacol., 37: 4063-4068, 1988). We show that fostriecin is a more potent inhibitor of protein phosphatase 1, with a 50% inhibitory concentration of 4 microM and protein phosphatase 2A, with a 50% inhibitory concentration of 40 nM. Inhibition of the mitotic entry checkpoint and inhibition of protein phosphatases are novel properties for antitumor drugs with potential or proven therapeutic value.  相似文献

Organ segmentation is often a first step in medical diagnostic. In this paper a fully automatic three-dimensional method for liver segmentation is presented. In this article, we report the fabrication and optical/spectroscopic properties of polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) doped with rare earth (RE) (Er3+ and Er3+/Yb3+) ions. Infrared spectroscopy revealed only very weak O? H stretching vibration peaks in the samples, which is important if satisfactory photoluminescence is to be observed at 1530 nm. Measurement of transmission spectra in the wavelength ranges from 300 to 700 nm for Er3+‐doped samples and from 900 to 1050 nm for Yb3+‐doped samples enabled us to observe the 4G11/2 (377 nm) and 2H11/2 (519 nm) transmission bands typical for Er3+‐doped samples, as well as the 2F5/2 (975 nm) band typical for Yb3+‐doped samples. Under excitation at 980 nm, at room temperature, the characteristic Er3+ emission at 1530 nm was also observed with improving trend when the higher RE concentrations were applied. The results indicate that the PMMA reveals very low tendency to the RE clustering, which together with low cost and easy fabrication make it a material with a great potential in the active photonics devices.
