It is of great importance in propene polymerization to control molecular weight and molecular weight distribution as well as isotacticity. Propene polymerization was carried out with an isospecific MgCl2/TiCl4-Cp2TiMe2 catalyst in the presence of various kinds of external Lewis bases. It was found that the molecular weight distribution of the isotactic polymer could be controlled while retaining high activity, high isospecificity and high molecular weight only by changing the kind and/or amount of the Lewis bases. © 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd. 相似文献

Mechanical deformation of Pd40Ni40P20 was characterized in compression over a wide strain rate range (3.3×10−5 to 2×103 s−1) at room temperature. The compression sample fractured with a shear plane inclined 42 degree with respect to the loading axis, in contrast to 56 degree for the case of tension. This suggests the yielding of the material deviates from the classical von Mises yield criterion, but follows the Mohr-Coulomb yield criterion. Fracture stress as well as strain was found to decrease with increasing applied strain rate. The compressive stress (1.74 GPa) was also found to be higher than the tensile fracture stress at a quasi-static strain rate. Close examination of the stress–strain curves revealed that localized shear might have occurred at a compressive stress of about 1.4 GPa, much lower than the “apparent” yield stress of 1.74 GPa. However, the stress of 1.4 GPa for shear band initiation is almost the same as the fracture stress measured at a dynamic strain rate of 5×102 s−1. These results suggested that the fracture of a bulk metallic glass is sensitive to the applied loading rate. 相似文献

Clostridium butyricum EB6 successfully produced hydrogen gas from palm oil mill effluent (POME). In this study, central composite design and response surface methodology were applied to determine the optimum conditions for hydrogen production (Pc) and maximum hydrogen production rate (Rmax) from POME. Experimental results showed that the pH, temperature and chemical oxygen demand (COD) of POME affected both the hydrogen production and production rate, both individually and interactively. The optimum conditions for hydrogen production (Pc) were pH 5.69, 36 °C, and 92 g COD/l; with an estimated Pc value of 306 ml H2/g carbohydrate. The optimum conditions for maximum hydrogen production rate (Rmax) were pH 6.52, 41 °C and 60 g COD/l; with an estimated Rmax value of 914 ml H2/h. An overlay study was performed to obtain an overall model optimization. The optimized conditions for the overall model were pH 6.05, 36 °C and 94 g COD/l. Synthetic l ‐lactide random copolymers can be employed as controlled release materials when prepared using supercritical carbon dioxide (scCO2), since they are biodegradable via hydrolysis. To determine the effects of thermal properties on polymer performance following scCO2 processing, three types of poly(l ‐lactide) having different properties were assessed. The Tm of one poly(l ‐lactide) sample (H‐100) was found to be approximately 170 °C over the processing pressure range from 8 to 18 MPa, while a second sample (H‐440) also showed a constant value of approximately 152 °C. In contrast, the poly(l ‐lactide) REVODE exhibited a Tm of 146 °C prior to processing but a higher value of 147 °C following treatment at 8 MPa. Unlike the H‐100 and H‐440, the Tm value of the REVODE tended to decrease with increasing pressure. The Tg values increased greatly under mild conditions of 8 MPa pressure and a temperature of 40 °C. In particular, the Tg values for the H‐440 and REVODE increased by 4 °C and 5 °C, respectively. All Tg values were lowest at 12 MPa and increased with increasing processing pressure, although the effect of processing temperature was minimal. The Χc DSC of the H‐100 was 18% initially but increased to 20% upon scCO2 processing at 40 °C and 14 MPa, and showed further increases at higher processing temperatures. Although the relationship between processing temperature and Χc DSC values for the H‐440 showed the same trend as observed with the H‐100, a different trend was seen for the REVODE. The Χc XRD values obtained from the XRD analyses differed from the values generated by DSC analysis, and showed a maximum degree of crystallinity following processing at 80 °C both with and without scCO2 treatment. Radiotherapy is a definitive treatment for early-stage cervical cancer; however, a subset of this disease recurs locally, necessitating establishment of predictive biomarkers and treatment strategies. To address this issue, we performed gene panel-based sequencing of 18 stage IB cervical cancers treated with definitive radiotherapy, including two cases of local recurrence, followed by in vitro and in silico analyses. Simultaneous mutations in KRAS and SMAD4 (KRASmt/SMAD4mt) were detected only in a local recurrence case, indicating potential association of this mutation signature with radioresistance. In isogenic cell-based experiments, a combination of activating KRAS mutation and SMAD4 deficiency led to X-ray resistance, whereas either of these factors alone did not. Analysis of genomic data from 55,308 cancers showed a significant trend toward co-occurrence of mutations in KRAS and SMAD4. Gene Set Enrichment Analysis of the Cancer Cell Line Encyclopedia dataset suggested upregulation of the pathways involved in epithelial mesenchymal transition and inflammatory responses in KRASmt/SMAD4mt cancer cells. Notably, irradiation with therapeutic carbon ions led to robust killing of X-ray-resistant KRASmt/SMAD4mt cancer cells. These data indicate that the KRASmt/SMAD4mt signature is a potential predictor of radioresistance, and that carbon ion radiotherapy is a potential option to treat early-stage cervical cancers with the KRASmt/SMAD4mt signature. 相似文献
