High‐quality colloidal silver nanoparticles (AgNP) were synthesised via a green approach by using hydroalcoholic extracts of Malva sylvestris. Silver nitrate was used as a substrate ion while the plant extract successfully played the role of reducing and stabilising agents. The synthesised nanoparticles were carefully characterised by using transmission electron microscopy, atomic‐force microscopy, energy dispersive X‐ray spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and UV–vis spectroscopy. The maximum absorption wavelengths of the colloidal solutions synthesised using 70 and 96% ethanol and 100% methanol, as extraction solvents, were 430, 485 and 504 nm, respectively. Interestingly, the size distribution of nanoparticles depended on the used solvent. The best particle size distribution belonged to the nanoparticles synthesised by 70% ethanol extract, which was 20–40 nm. The antibacterial activity of the synthesised nanoparticles was studied on Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus pyogenes using disk diffusion, minimum inhibitory concentrations and minimum bactericidal concentrations assays. The best antibacterial activity obtained for the AgNPs produced by using 96% ethanolic extract.Inspec keywords: silver, nanoparticles, nanofabrication, antibacterial activity, colloids, particle size, transmission electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy, X‐ray chemical analysis, Fourier transform spectra, infrared spectra, ultraviolet spectra, visible spectra, microorganisms, nanomedicine, biomedical materialsOther keywords: Green synthesis, flower extract, Malva sylvestris, antibacterial activity, high‐quality colloidal silver nanoparticles, hydroalcoholic extracts, plant extract, reducing agents, stabilising agents, transmission electron microscopy, atomic‐force microscopy, energy dispersive X‐ray spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, UV– vis spectroscopy, colloidal solutions, particle size distribution, Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pyogenes, disk diffusion, minimum inhibitory concentrations, minimum bactericidal concentrations assays, ethanolic extract, size 430 nm, size 485 nm, size 504 nm, size 20 nm to 40 nm, Ag  相似文献

Silver nanoparticles (NPs) are immobilised on pistachio shell surface by Cichorium intybus L. leaves extract as an antioxidant media. The Fourier transform infrared spectra, X‐ray diffraction, field‐emission scanning electron microscopy equipped with energy‐dispersive X‐ray spectroscopy, and transmission electron microscope analyses confirmed the support of silver NPs on the pistachio shell (Ag NPs/pistachio shell). Ag NPs on the pistachio shell had a diameter basically in the 10–15 nm range. Reduction reactions of 4‐nitrophenol (4‐NP), and organic dyes at ambient condition were used in the investigation of the catalytic performance of the prepared catalyst. Through this research, the Ag NPs/pistachio shell shows a high activity and recyclability, and reusability without loss of its catalytic activity.Inspec keywords: transmission electron microscopy, nanoparticles, X‐ray diffraction, catalysis, nanofabrication, dyes, X‐ray chemical analysis, reduction (chemical), silver, catalysts, Fourier transform infrared spectra, field emission scanning electron microscopyOther keywords: waste pistachio shell, silver nanoparticles, catalytic reduction processes, pistachio shell surface, antioxidant media, infrared spectra, X‐ray diffraction, field‐emission scanning electron microscopy, energy‐dispersive X‐ray spectroscopy, transmission electron microscope analyses, reduction reactions, catalytic performance, catalytic activity, Cichorium intybus L. leaves extract, size 10.0 nm to 15.0 nm, Ag  相似文献

The Unified Modeling Language (UML) is the de facto language used in the industry for software specifications. Once an application has been specified, Model Driven Architecture (MDA) techniques can be applied to generate code from such specifications. Since implementing a system based on a faulty design requires additional cost and effort, it is important to analyse the UML models at earlier stages of the software development lifecycle. This paper focuses on utilizing MDA techniques to deal with the analysis of UML models and identify design faults within a specification. Specifically, we show how UML models can be automatically transformed into Alloy which, in turn, can be automatically analysed by the Alloy Analyzer. The proposed approach relies on MDA techniques to transform UML models to Alloy. This paper reports on the challenges of the model transformation from UML class diagrams and OCL to Alloy. Those issues are caused by fundamental differences in the design philosophy of UML and Alloy. To facilitate better the representation of Alloy concepts in the UML, the paper draws on the lessons learnt and presents a UML profile for Alloy.  相似文献

This study was performed to evaluate the properties of poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA), gelatin, and PVA–gelatin dispersions and films enriched with Zataria multiflora essential oil (ZO). The results reveal that the ζ potential, particle size, and viscosity values and the antioxidant and antibacterial activities of the dispersions changed significantly with the addition of ZO to the polymer matrix. Changes in the properties of the dispersions suggested the presence of interactions between PVA or gelatin and ZO. Such interactions could affect the mechanical and water‐barrier properties of the films. ZO induced remarkable decreases in the tensile strength, elastic modulus, and swelling and increases in the elongation at break, solubility, and water‐vapor permeability of the films. Scanning electron microscopy analyses proved the impact of ZO on the film morphology, which affected the film properties, including the mechanical and water‐barrier properties. The addition of ZO to the polymer led to a coarse film microstructure because of the hydrophobic ZO aggregates, which produced discontinuities in the film matrix. ZO considerably increased the antioxidant and antibacterial activities of the dispersions. Pseudomonas aeruginosa was the most resistant bacteria. The improved antioxidant and antimicrobial activities of the PVA–ZO and gelatin–ZO indicated that such products could effectively be used as wound dressings. © 2017 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Appl. We investigate noise effects on the performance of entanglement distribution by separable state. We consider a realistic situation in which the mediating particle between two distant nodes of the network goes through a noisy channel. For a large class of noise models, we show that the average value of distributed entanglement between two parties is equal to entanglement between particular bipartite partitions of target qubits and exchange qubit in intermediate steps of the protocol. This result is valid for distributing two-qubit/qudit and three-qubit entangled states. In explicit examples of the noise family, we show that there exists a critical value of noise parameter beyond which distribution of distillable entanglement is not possible. Furthermore, we determine how this critical value increases in terms of Hilbert space dimension, when distributing d-dimensional Bell states.  相似文献

Among the factors that contribute to the inherent complexity of the software development process is the gap between the design and the formal analysis domains. Software design is often considered a human oriented task while the analysis phase draws on formal representation and mathematical foundations. An example of this dichotomy is the use of UML for the software design phase and Petri Nets for the analysis; a separation of concerns that leads to the creation of heterogeneous models. Although UML is widely accepted as a language that can be used to model the structural and behavioural aspects of a system, its lack of mathematical foundations is seen as a serious impediment to rigorous analysis. Petri Nets on the other hand have a strong mathematical basis that are well suited for formal analysis; they lack however the appeal and the ease-of-use of UML. A pressing concern for software developers is how to bridge the gap between these domains and allow for model interoperability and the integration of different toolsets across them, and thus reduce the complexity of the software development process. The aim of this paper is to present a Model Driven Development (MDD) model transformation which supports a seamless transition between UML and Petri Nets. This is achieved by model interoperability from UML Sequence Diagrams to Petri Nets and supported by tool integration. The model transformation framework allows a software system to be designed in terms of UML Sequence Diagrams and subjected to formal analysis by taking advantage of the strong mathematical framework of Petri Nets. The behaviour of a Personal Area Network will be used to illustrate the proposed approach and to highlight model interoperability and tool integration through the design, the transformation and the analysis phases.  相似文献

We propose a methodology, based on aspect-oriented modeling (AOM), for incorporating security mechanisms in an application. The functionality of the application is described using the primary model and the attacks are specified using aspects. The attack aspect is composed with the primary model to obtain the misuse model. The misuse model describes how much the application can be compromised. If the results are unacceptable, then some security mechanism must be incorporated into the application. The security mechanism, modeled as security aspect, is composed with the primary model to obtain the security-treated model. The security-treated model is analyzed to give assurance that it is resilient to the attack.  相似文献

On-Line Monitoring of Large Petri Net Models Under Partial Observation   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
We consider a Petri Net model of the plant. The observation is given by a subset of transitions whose occurrence is always and immediately sensed by a monitoring agent. Other transitions not in this subset are silent (unobservable). Classical on-line monitoring techniques, which are based on the estimation of the current state of the plant and the detection of the occurrence of undesirable events (faults), are not suitable for models of large systems due to high spatial complexity (exponential in the size of the entire model). In this paper we propose a method based on the explanation of plant observation. A legal trace minimally explains the observation if it includes all unobservable transitions whose firing is needed to enable the observed transitions. To do so, starting from an observable transition, using backward search techniques, a set of minimal explanations is derived, which are sufficient for detecting whether a fault event must have occurred for sure in the plant or not. The technique also allows production of a set of basis markings for the estimation of the current state of the plant. The set of all possible current markings can then be characterized as the unobservable reach of these basis markings. The computational complexity of the algorithm depends on the size of the largest connected subnet which includes only unobservable transitions. This allows monitoring of plants of any size in which there is no large unobservable subnet. We also illustrate the applicability of the method for the monitoring of a class of infinite state systems, unbounded Petri Nets with unobservable trap circuits, and we show how this can be useful for distributed implementations.
