宝马汽车无论是其优雅大气的外观,还是卓越的操控性能都让人为之沉醉。不过本文要为大家介绍的不是宝马的动力或者外观,而是与其原车音响有所关系。据了解,佰芙音响电子有限公司与英国汽车音响专业工程师专门针对宝马汽车音响联合开发了Baf（百富龙）-Prince（小皇子）和Noble（贵族）两款宝马汽车专配扬声器系统。     

Variation in light scattering and water-holding capacity along the porcine Longissimus dorsi muscle

The meat quality of M. longissimus muscle was evaluated in 851 pigs by using the Fibre Optic Probe (FOP) at three sites in the muscle and in both halves of the carcass. A systematic difference between sites was found, with the lowest light scattering (indicating the best meat quality) in the mid-part of the muscle and higher light scattering in the anterior and posterior parts. A non-systematic variation was also observed, with the opposite pattern in some animals, even though it was not frequent. A negative influence of the shackling was found, yielding higher FOP values in the shackled half.

Drip loss measurements in the Longissimus muscle, taken from another 100 pig carcasses, were evaluated using three methods. Drip loss, too, showed a considerable variation along the Longissimus muscle, with minimum losses around the last rib. Repeatability estimates, calculated from two non-consecutive pieces of the Longissimus dorsi muscle from each carcass, varied from 0·4 when keeping samples vacuum packed for 2 days, to 0·5 when the samples were either kept in plain plastic bags for 2 days or in a meat container with a squared inset for 1 or 2 days.     

Electromyography as an aid in the prevention of excessive shoulder strain

Disorders in the musculo-skeletal system constitute the most common reasons for lowered working capacity and sick-leave in the engineering industry. The symptoms are often located in the neck-shoulder-arm and are greatly influenced by unfavourable muscle loads. A method for the routine study of muscular activity has been developed and tested for the purpose of reducing the risk of such work-related disorders. This method is based on the application of an electromyographic (EMG) technique and is primarily intended to facilitate the ergonomic assessment and the selection of alternative work postures. The tests performed confirm that EMG studies, in a simplified version for the shop-floor, may constitute a valuable aid for an objective analysis. They demonstrate that the EMG equipment used offers good possibilities to detect differences in muscle load in different work postures and that it meets the requirements for rapid presentation of the measured values, a simple analysis procedure, use on the shop-floor and simple handling.

Syntheses of female sex pheromone precursors of pine sawfly species and of some structurally related methyl-branched long-chain 2-alkanols

3,7-Dimethyl-2-undecanol, 3,7,9-trimethyl-2-tridecanol, and 3,7, 11-trimethyl-2-tridecanol were synthesized as racemic mixtures in moderate yields. The alcohols are known precursors of the female sex pheromones of the pine sawfly species Diprion nipponica, Macrodiprion nemoralis, and Microdiprion pallipes, respectively. Stereoisomeric mixtures of 3,8,12-trimethyl-2-tridecanol, erythro-(2R,3R,11R/S)-3,11-dimethyl-2-tetradecanol, 3,5-dimethyl-2-tetradecanol, and 5,7-dimethyl-2-tetradecanol, structurally related to sex pheromone alcohol precursors of pine sawfly species, were also synthesized in moderate yields. The key reaction in the syntheses was the ring opening of -butyrolactones by using different alkyl lithiums as nucleophiles.
