The aim of this paper is to propose a methodology to take into account the influence of uncertain data in structural calculations. A specific method, based on the approximation of the responses as a function of the uncertain data, is proposed. Classical methods from the literature are also considered. The different methods are compared on a simple example in terms of response (average value and standard deviation) and in terms of computational cost. The method proposed in the present work permits to estimate correctly the whole response and is very simple to use (pre and post processing). This method is applied to a structural calculation on a “hat-shapes” part called, manufactured in the quasi-isotropic IM7/977-2 composite.  相似文献

The phase transformation of CeO2 and ThO2 from fluorite to cotunnite-type structure under pressure is predicted within the density functional theory implemented with the GGA-PW91 method, the pressure induced structural phase transition occurs at 28.9 GPa for CeO2 and 29.8 GPa for ThO2. These values are in excellent agreement with the experimentally measured data. The elastic, electronic and optical properties at normal as well as for high-pressure phase have been calculated, particular attention is devoted to the cotunnite phase. Further, the dependence of the elastic constants, the bulk modulus B, the energy band gaps and the dielectric function on the applied pressure are presented.  相似文献

The occurrence and characterization of yeasts isolated from sorghum beer produced in Ghana and Burkina Faso, West Africa, were investigated. The yeasts involved in the fermentations were found to consist of Saccharomyces spp. almost exclusively. Of the isolates investigated, 45% were identified as Saccharomyces cerevisiae, whereas more than half of the isolates (53%) had physiological properties atypical of S. cerevisiae or any other member of the complex sensu strictu, as they were able to assimilate only glucose, maltose and ethanol as carbon sources. Both ITS-PCR RFLP and PFGE strongly indicated that these isolates were related to S. cerevisiae, regardless of their phenotypic characteristics. Sequencing of the D1/D2 domain of the 26S rDNA confirmed the close relatedness to S. cerevisiae with 0.5% nucleotide differences. The MAL1 and MAL3 loci were found for all isolates as the only recognized MAL loci. Besides, for 40% of the isolates the MAL61 probe hybridized to a position of about 950 kbp, which has not formerly been described as a MAL locus. The results showed that the spontaneous fermentation of West African sorghum beer is dominated by a variety of strains of S.cerevisiae not previously described, among which starter cultures should be selected.  相似文献

We present a new and simple method which consists to apply constellation shaping to bit-interleaved turbo-coded modulation (BICTM) over additive white Gaussian noise channels. By assuming the example of a 3-bit/dim 16-PAM BITCM, it is shown that this technique can provide shaping gain of 0.79 dB.  相似文献

Abstract: To assess the ability of lactic acid bacteria to improve some nutritional characteristics of the pearl millet–soybean slurry to prepare complementary foods for young children in African countries, inoculation was performed using strains previously selected for their ability to hydrolyse starch, phytate, or α-galactooligosaccharides (α-GOS). For the sake of comparison with the action of a natural microflora, fermentation was also performed by back slopping inoculation, that is, with a sample obtained from spontaneously fermented traditional pearl millet slurry obtained from a small scale processing unit in Burkina Faso (Ouagadougou). Starter cultures thrived on the slurry as shown by counts on MRS agar, TTGE fingerprints, and fermentation patterns. The fermentation of precooked slurries inoculated by back slopping or with mixed cultures containing the amylolytic strain Lb. plantarum A6 enabled partial starch hydrolysis. Corresponding gruels had a suitable consistency for young child feeding at high dry matter content, and a high energy density: 88.7 ± 4.2 and 75.8 ± 5.1 kcal/100 g of sweetened gruel, for the gruels inoculated by back slopping or with Lb. plantarum A6, respectively. Unexpectedly, no decrease in phytates was observed in any of the experiments, suggesting the presence of one or more inhibitory compounds in soybean. Furthermore, preprocessing conditions before fermentation affect the carbohydrate composition of slurry and have a more profound effect than fermentation on the reduction of the α-GOS content. Practical Application: This research aims to investigate the capacity of selected lactic acid bacteria to produce in a bioprocess high energy density and nutritious gruels for complementary feeding of young children from an African cereal (pearl millet) mixed with soybean.  相似文献

This work deals with electrical properties of nanosurfaces in contact with electrolyte solutions. Single halide ion solutions were studied by streaming potential (SP) measurements and observed retention (Robs) of the F, Cl, and Br ions across nanofiltration (NF) membranes. The detailed understanding of an electrolyte solution mass transfer requires an intimate knowledge of the physicochemical interactions occurring between nanoporous materials and electrolyte solutions across the first-generation composite membranes called NF55, NF70 and NF90. These membranes are composed of a polysulfone mesoporous sublayer and a microporous skin layer in polyamide. In order to get a better understanding of these effects, it seems attractive to compare the mass transfer permeation of the monovalent ions F, Cl, and Br with the electrokinetic characterizations deduced from a properly developed SP apparatus. SP measurements is a very simple method to show the intrinsinc charges on membrane pore walls. The membrane's electrical properties are studied with SP design modeling pH, ionic strength and kind of electrolyte solutions. We have observed that the isoelectric point (IEP) of the membrane materials is both dependent on the ionic strength and on the kind of electrolyte solution. The IEP in the presence of KCl is 4.4 at 0.0001 mol/L and 5.8 at 0.001 mol/L, showing an increasing adsorption of the cation K+ by increasing its solution concentration. For a fixed concentration, the effect of the electrolyte solution has shown that a higher adsorption of Ca++ occurs in comparison to K+ and Na+. But the adsorption of these electrolyte solutions is essentially reversible as observed under dilution conditions. Furthermore SP measurements were used for the first time to characterize the transmembrane pressure ranges where a convective and/or a diffusional mass transfer occurs. Such an approach was developed to correlate the Robs of the halide ions F, Cl and Br with the kind of mass transfer (diffusional and/or convective) occurring predominantly under transmembrane pressure variations. Thus the NF70 membrane shows at low pressure (under 3 bar) the order of Robs following the hydrated ionic radius: Robs.(F)>Robs.(Cl)>Robs.(Br). For a higher pressure (> 3 bar) an inversion occurs between Cl and Br, but F was not affected. These results open a new prospective area for selective defluorination of brackish drinking waters using NF membranes under low transmembrane pressure.  相似文献

In order to validate a 3D numerical model of the pseudoelastic behaviour of shape memory alloys (SMA) allowing a finite-strain analysis, a set of experimental tests is proposed. First consisting in determining the representative elementary volume (REV) model parameters, tensile tests are performed within a small perturbations context. Therefore, two kinds of structure tests representing different stress states are performed: tensile tests on CuAlBe perforated strips on the one hand and bulging tests on CuAlBe sheets on the other hand. With the update of the material parameters for a finite-strain analysis, it is then possible to compare the experimental and the numerical results obtained from tests on structures submitted to general states of stresses. Besides, pictures correlation and infrared thermography analysis have been used and combined to pinpoint the thermomechanical couplings of SMA behaviour.  相似文献

Three porous ceramic composites were prepared from readily available raw materials (kaolin, bauxite, feldspar and kyanite). The porous ceramic formulations were sintered at different temperatures ranging from 1200 to 1400°C. The fired specimens were characterized by determining their porosity, bulk density, flexural strength, thermochemical stability, microstructure, water and mercury permeability. Apparent porosity and bulk density in the range 15.57 ± 1.56–42.73 ± 2.28?vol% and 2.23 ± 0.31–2.68 ± 0.41?g?cm?3 respectively were obtained after firing. The flexural strength was in the range of 32.31 ± 2.1–74.88 ± 2.57?MPa and the thermal expansion coefficient of 5–9 × 10?6 C?1. The values of water permeability were 745.4, 641.45 and 525.91?L/m2 h?kPa respectively for PK3, PK4 and PK5. It was found that at high temperature (1400?°C), kyanite particles enhanced the porosity and thermal stability by reducing glass formation and improving crystallization. The presence of the interconnected pores with size between 0.03 and 4.50?µm, the high total volume of pores together with the high flexural strength and thermal stability make the synthesized porous ceramics suitable for high-pressure filtering applications.  相似文献
