Natural antioxidants have gained interest for their role in preventing lipids oxidation. The goals of this investigation were to study the antioxidant potential of carrot (Daucus carota), grape (Vitis vinifera) leaf and turmeric (Curcuma longa) powder extracts and to evaluate their addition as natural antioxidants in biscuits. Physical and chemical properties of biscuit were evaluated during processing and storage. Electrophoretic properties of biscuit dough were carried out to understand the impact of different extracts on the processing of biscuits. Biscuits prepared with 1 % (w/w) grape leaves ethanol (70 %) extract (GLE), carrot aqueous extract (CE), and tumeric aqueous extract (TE) were acceptable. Among extracts, TE was found to retain only 11.2 % activity, wherein GLE had retained 51.0 % activity after baking, which was comparable to butylated hydroxyanisole and better than tert-butylhydroquinone (TBHQ). TBHQ was found to possess the highest activity, followed by GLE, TE and CE, respectively. The ash content of biscuits enriched with TE and GLE was near to that of the control sample. Addition of CE, GLE and TBHQ reduced the force required for breakage. After 15 days of storage, PV was increased in all samples, but in the case of GLE-enriched sample there was a sudden increase in PV from 0.034 to 0.374. Supportive electrophoresis study indicated that there was no change in the protein subunits of biscuit dough fro different samples. It could be concluded that GLE, CE and TE might be used in biscuit baking as natural antioxidants.  相似文献

Two series of eco-friendly nonionic anionic surfactants based on itaconic acid and 1, 6 hexane diol were synthesized. The chemical structures of the prepared surfactant were confirmed by FTIR and 1H NMR spectroscopy. The prepared surfactants were evaluated to prevent the corrosion of aluminum in 1.0 M HCl solution by electrochemical and chemical methods. The data obtained showed that the prepared compounds have good inhibition efficiency (IE%) even at 10−5 M concentrations and act as mixed-type inhibitors, they do not affect the mechanism of the electrode processes, as well as the IE% increase by increasing the concentrations of the inhibitors, immersion time, and hydrophilic chain length. The high inhibition efficiency is due to the adsorption of the inhibitors molecules on the metal surface and the formation of a protective film. The surface activities of these compounds were also investigated and were correlated to their inhibition efficiencies and chemical structure. Through studying biodegradability of the synthesized surfactants we find that they are readily biodegradable in the environment and thus they are considered as eco-friendly corrosion inhibitors. Finally, the effect of the addition of these compounds on the aluminum surface was identified by atomic force microscopy (AFM) technique.  相似文献

Abstract

The construction and general performance of a novel potentiometric membrane sensor for determination of fluoxetine has been developed. It is based on the formation of the ion association complex of fluoxetine with picrolonic acid as electroactive material, dispersed in a PVC matrix and o‐nitrophenyl octyl ether as a plasticizer. The sensor shows a fast, stable, and near Nernstian response for 1×10?2 M to 8×10?6 M fluoxetine at 25°C over the pH range of 1–5 with a cationic slope of 51±0.5 mV/decade. The lower detection limit is 6×10?6 M and the response time 20–35 sec. Selectivity coefficients for fluoxetine, related to number of interfering substances, were investigated. There are negligible interferences from the studied cations, anions, and pharmaceutical excipients. The determination of fluoxetine in aqueous solution shows an average recovery of 98.6% and a mean relative standard deviation (RSD) of 1.5% at 100 µg/mL. The direct determination of fluoxetine in some formulations gave results that compare favorably with those obtained by a spectrophotometric method. The developed membrane electrode has been used as an end point indicator electrode, e.g., potentiometric titration of fluoxetine with sodium tetraphenylborate as a titrant has been monitored.  相似文献

A novel series of six nonionic polymeric surfactants were prepared by polymerization of acrylated poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG, molecular weight MW = 400, 600 and 2,000) and allyl ester of long chain fatty acid chloride (decanoyl and lauroyl chloride). The unique structural features of these surfactants were confirmed by different spectroscopic tools (IR and 1H NMR). The surface properties of these compounds such as surface tension, interfacial tension, emulsion stability, wetting power, foam height, solubilization and dispersant properties in disperse dye systems were determined and evaluated. A comparison study was done between the chemical structures and surface properties of such compounds. Biodegradability and stability to hydrolysis in acidic and alkaline media were also determined and evaluated.  相似文献

Oil extracted from the wild plant of Cistanche phelypaea was analyzed for its fatty acid, sterol, hydrocarbon and tocopherol contents. Total lipids (TL) content was 10 g/kg (on dry weight basis). The majority of fatty acids were of the unsaturated type (50.4 % of total fatty acids), while the saturated (mainly palmitic acid) were about 43.2 % of the total fatty acids. Oleic acid was the dominating fatty acid followed by palmitic and linoleic acids. High amounts of sterols were found in the oil with the main component β-sitosterol. Other phytosterols (e.g. stigmasterol, ∆7-avenasterol and ∆5-avenasterol) were present at approximately equal amounts (6–9 % of total sterols). The main identified hydrocarbon compounds were C21, C26 and C32 constituting about 61.2 % of total hydrocarbons. Small amounts of C12, C18 and C22, however, were also detected. Tocopherol levels were high in the oil (3.36 g/kg oil), wherein β-tocopherol was the main component followed by α-isomer. Both tocopherol components comprised more than 87 % of total vitamin E content in the oil. Furthermore, γ- and δ-tocopherols were detected in small amounts in the oil accounting for 14–16 % of the total vitamin E content. Information provided by the present work will be of importance for food applications and chemotaxonomy of Cistanche phelypaea.  相似文献

This paper investigates a vital issue in wireless communication systems, which is the modulation classification. A proposed framework for modulation classification based on deep learning (DL) is presented in the presence of adjacent channel interference (ACI). This framework begins with the generation of constellation diagrams from the received data. These constellation diagrams are fed to convolutional neural networks (CNNs) for modulation classification. The objective of this process is to eliminate the manual feature extraction from the received data and make feature extraction process as a built‐in step with CNNs. Three types of CNNs are considered in this paper and compared for this objective. These types are AlexNet, VGG‐16, and VGG‐19. The proposed classifier is applied on Rayliegh and Rician fading channels.  相似文献
