The active vibration control of a composite plate using discrete piezoelectric patches has been investigated. Based on first order shear deformation theory, a finite element model with the contributions of piezoelectric sensor and actuator patches to the mass and stiffness of the plate was used to derive the state space equation. A global optimization based on LQR performance is developed to find the optimal location of the piezoelectric patches. Genetic algorithm is adopted and implemented to evaluate the optimal configuration. The piezoelectric actuator provides a damping effect on the composite plate by means of LQR control algorithm. A correlation between the patches number and the closed loop damping coefficient is established.  相似文献

This paper is focusing basically on the ceramic technology, of which several methods for the synthesis of MgAl2O4 have been investigated. The synthesis conditions regarding the powders cleanliness, microstructure, and sintering parameters of MgAl2O4 were studied. MgAl2O4 powder was synthesized via conventional solid-state route using different milling process: vertical attrition milling, WAB as a high-energy horizontal attrition milling, and Pulverisette as a planetary ball miller, and via solution combustion route using Urea, Glycine, and a mixture of Urea/Glycine. Urea and Glycine was used as fuel. The white powders were obtained for all solid-state routes and for Urea-combustion technique. The black and gray powders were obtained in the case of combustion technique, respectively, using a fuel of Glycine and Glycine/Urea mixture. The obtained powders and pellets were characterized by XRD, SEM, and Dilatometry. The results show that, among all the solid-state route processes, wet attrition milling gives the better and clean spinel phase. The WAB milling and Pulverisette miller introduce a contamination by some yttria-stabilized zirconia balls in the corresponding powder. Furthermore, the flash combustion technique permit to have nanoparticles with a dense spinel phase of MgAl2O4 and with lower sintering temperature in less time and with no calcination step.  相似文献

This paper presents an analysis of experimental cutting forces and the study of the chip flow angle when machining 304L austenitic steel with a groove coated tool under dry condition. Experiments were conducted on a wide range of cutting conditions with a particular attention to ensure a great confidence in the obtained results. A detailed analysis of experimental cutting forces and the identification of empirical cutting force equations similar to that usually used for flat tools are proposed. The main focus of this work is on the study of chip flow angle deduced here from experimental cutting forces, considering that the chip flow direction is collinear to the friction force. From a comparison between experiments and two often used approaches, it appears that the experimental chip flow angle estimation, based on neglecting the complex tool geometry and adopting a zero rake angle, is bounded by the two considered modelings that renders useful for the proposed study. From experiments it is also observed an increase of the chip flow angle as the cutting velocity is increased. A velocity-dependent modeling with two distinct strategies of identification is then proposed in order to capture the cutting velocity effect on the chip flow angle.  相似文献

This study investigates the morphological changes and tensile properties of Alfa fibers extracted mechanically after two treatments namely water retting and alkali treatment. The Scanning Electron Microscopy technique is used in this experimental work. The main observation reveals the decrease of noncellulosic component in the fibers which is inversely proportional to the concentration of sodium hydroxide solution in the case of the alkali treatment. Tensile tests were carried out using tensile machine for determining the tensile properties mainly the tensile strength and the elastic modulus. The tensile strength and young’s modulus of retted fibers are assumed constant. The results relative to the alkalized fibers show an improvement of tensile strength and young’s modulus and are proportional to the sodium hydroxide concentration up to 14%.  相似文献

Abstract

A numerical study of the effects of friction conditions on the formation of dead metal zone (DMZ) is presented. The friction conditions are classified as three different cases in the form of coefficient: (1) constant coefficient of friction, (2) “smooth” and “sharp” change of the friction coefficient and (3) time-dependent friction coefficient. These friction cases are numerically investigated using the finite element (FE) code ABAQUS/Explicit. A FE model based on the arbitrary-Lagrangian–Eulerian approach is developed to simulate the cutting process and investigate the influences of the friction conditions. The simulated results, for a wide range of friction conditions, are obtained, analyzed and compared with previously published experimental/numerical data. It has been found that the friction coefficient has a direct effect on the amount and shape of DMZ, the sharp change of coefficient has a larger effect on the DMZ formation than the smooth one and the formation of DMZ is more determined by the value of the friction coefficient than its duration.  相似文献
