As manufacturing environments are getting distributed and increasing in size, the related virtual environments are getting
larger and more closely networked together. This trend has led to a new paradigm—large-scale virtual manufacturing environment
(LSVME). It supports networked and distributed virtual manufacturing to meet manufacturing system requirements. Since it contains
a large number of virtual components, an effective data structure and collaborative construction methodology are needed. A
metaearth architecture is proposed as the data structure for representing LSVME. This architecture consists of virtual space
layer, mapping layer, library layer and ontology layers, which describe interaction among virtual components and has the ability
to analyze the characteristics of virtual environment. In addition, it increases reusability of virtual components and supports
self-reconfiguration for manufacturing simulation. A heuristic construction method based on graph theory is proposed using
this architecture. It prevents redundant design of virtual components and contributes to an effective construction scheduling

Based on the proposed experimental method, the current spreading length of GaN-based light-emitting diodes (LEDs) was measured and analyzed for practical device design. In this study, Thompson's and Guo's models, which are categorized according to vertical series resistance (in particular, p-type contact resistance), were used to extract device parameters. It was shown that the measured current spreading length strongly depends on the injected current density. For LEDs fabricated with low-resistance p-type contacts, this behavior could be explained in terms of the accelerated current crowding with higher current densities occurring as a result of the reduced voltage drop across the junction, which is in good agreement with Thompson's relation. However, for LEDs fabricated with high-resistance p-contacts, unlike Guo's prediction, the measured current spreading length also showed a strong dependence on the injected current density. This was attributed to thermal heating at the p-contact, resulting in the reduction of the voltage drop across the p-contact and so junction voltage, which is also in agreement with Thompson's model. Based on the measured parameters and the design rule, efficient p-type reflectors, namely, hybrid reflectors were designed. Compared with conventional ones, LEDs fabricated with the hybrid reflectors exhibited better output power at a reasonable forward voltage, indicating that the proposed method is effective in understanding the actual current spreading and hence the practical design of high-efficiency LEDs. 相似文献

Wireless mesh networks facilitate the development of the many group oriented applications by extending the coverage area of
the group communication. Group communication in a wireless mesh network is complicated due to dynamic intermediate mesh points,
access control for communications between different administrative domains, and the absence of a centralized network controller.
In this study, we propose a topology-matching decentralized multi-service group key management scheme for wireless mesh networks.
It allows service providers to update and deliver their group keys to valid members in a distributed manner using the identity-based
encryption scheme. The analysis result indicates that the proposed scheme has advantages with regard to the rekeying cost
and storage overhead for a member and a mesh point in multi-sender group communication environments. The stateless property
is also achieved such that a stateless member, who could not be constantly online, can easily decrypt the rekeying messages

A portable clock generator, which solves the duty ratio and jitter problems of the input clock, has been developed. In the proposed clock generator, the complementary delay line generates a series of multiphase clocks. The 0-to-1 transition detector finds the 2 pi phase delayed position among the multiphase clocks produced by the complementary delay line, and then, the select signal generator chooses the proper path to generate the delayed output clock. As a result, the proposed open-loop and full-digital architecture achieves a fast lock time of two clock cycles. Also, it is a simple, robust and portable IP and consumes only 17 mW at an input clock frequency of 1.6 GHz. In addition, a complementary delay line is implemented to achieve high phase resolution over a wide frequency range. The proposed clock generator is implemented in a 0.18-mum CMOS process and, occupies an active area of 170 mum times 120 mum. In this paper, thrust equations for a rubber belt CVT are derived by considering the geometry and mechanism of the mechanical actuators. In order to solve the thrust equations, an algorithm to calculate the speed ratio is suggested for the given driver speed and load torque based on the actuator characteristic equations and existing formula for the belt thrust forces. Experiments are performed to investigate the driver speed-load torque-speed ratio characteristics at a steady state. The speed and torque efficiencies are measured and used to modify the actuator equations. It is found that the modified equations well predict the steady state characteristics. In addition, the shift dynamic model for a rubber belt CVT is derived experimentally. Simulation results of the CVT shift dynamics are in good accordance with the experiments and it is noted that different coefficients are required to describe the CVT shift dynamics for the upshift and the downshift. 相似文献
