The pH‐sensitive poly(vinyl alcohol)/poly(acrylic acid) hydrogel microcapsules containing vitamin B12‐loaded Al2O3 core were prepared with a three‐step emulsion polymerization. Al2O3 was chemically treated with HCl or NaOH solutions at room temperature for 24 h to modify the binding properties with vitamin B12. The colon‐targeted release characteristics of vitamin B12 from the microcapsules were evaluated at different pHs. These microcapsules showed the faster and larger release of vitamin B12 due to the high swelling of microcapsule shell as the pH was changed into more basic condition. However, these microcapsules showed the slower and less release of vitamin B12 as the acid value of Al2O3 increased due to the strong binding interaction between Al2O3 core and vitamin B12 even though the initial loading of vitamin B12 was higher. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The pH-sensitive photocatalytic system was prepared by embedding TiO2 into poly(vinyl alcohol)/poly(acrylic acid) hydrogel. Two different type TiO2/hydrogel composites, such as matrix and nanofiber, were prepared to investigate the morphological effects on the photocatalytic activity. TiO2 was distributed uniformly in the composite hydrogel and kept the original anatase structure without any structural change. The photocatalytic activity of TiO2 was evaluated based on the efficiency of photobleaching of dye. The photobleaching of dye was improved greatly as the pH was changed into basic condition and the larger surface area of hydrogel was available for TiO2 by using nanofiber supports.  相似文献

Artificial photonic synapses with morphologically controlled photoreception, allowing for area-dependent tunable light reception as well as information storage and learning, have potential for application in emerging photo-interactive neuro-computing technologies. Herein, an artificially intelligent (AI) photonic synapse with area-density-tunable perovskite nano-cone arrays templated in a self-assembled block copolymer (BCP) is presented, which is based on a field effect transistor with a floating gate of photoreceptive perovskite crystal arrays preferentially synthesized in a micro-phase-segregated BCP film. These arrays are capable of electric charge (de)trapping and photo-excited charge generation, and they exhibit versatile synaptic functions of the nervous system, including paired-pulse facilitation and long-term potentiation, with excellent reliability. The area-density variable perovskite floating gate developed by off-centered spin coating process allows for emulating the human retina with a position-dependent spatial distribution of cones. 60 × 12 arrays of the developed synapse devices exhibit position-dependent dual functions of receptor and synapse. They are AI and exhibit a pattern recognition accuracy up to ≈90% when examined using the Modified National Institute of Standards and Technology handwritten digit pattern recognition test.  相似文献

The composite nanofibers of poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA)/poly(acrylic acid) (PAAc)/titanium(IV) oxide (TiO2) were prepared by electrospinning for a novel photocatalytic treatment of waste water. To improve the photoelectronic properties of PVA/PAAc/TiO2 composite nanofibers, carbon nanotubes (CNTs) were used as an additive. The TiO2 and CNTs were immobilized in the PVA/PAAc hydrogels as electrospun nanofibers for an easier recovery after the wastewater treatment. The improved efficiency of pollutant dye removal was observed at pH 10 due to the pH-sensitive swelling behavior of the PVA/PAAc/TiO2/CNTs composite nanofibers. The photocatalytic activity of TiO2 was improved noticeably by applying electric field to the CNTs-embedded composite nanofibers.  相似文献

The analysis of an adaptive rate convolutionally coded multicarrier direct sequence code division multiple-access (DS/CDMA) system is considered. In order to accommodate a number of coding rates easily and make the encoder and decoder structure simple, we use the rate-compatible punctured convolutional (RCPC) code. We obtain data throughputs at several coding rates, and choose the coding rate that has the highest data throughput in the signal-to-interference and noise ratio (SINR) sense. To achieve maximum data throughput, a rate adaptive system is proposed based on the channel state information (the SINR estimate). The SINR estimate is obtained by the soft decision Viterbi decoding metric. We show that the proposed rate adaptive convolutionally coded multicarrier DS/CDMA system can enhance the spectral efficiency and provide frequency diversity  相似文献

Transdermal drug delivery system (TDDS) was prepared with temperature-responsive hydrogel. The graphite was oxidized and incorporated into hydrogel matrix to improve the thermal response of hydrogel. The micro heater was fabricated to control the temperature precisely by adopting a joule heating method. The drug in hydrogel was delivered through a hairless mouse skin by controlling temperature. The efficiency of drug delivery was improved obviously by incorporation of graphite oxide due to the excellent thermal conductivity and the increased interfacial affinity between graphite oxide and hydrogel matrix. The fabricated micro heater was effective in controlling the temperature over lower critical solution temperature of hydrogel precisely with a small voltage less than 1 V. The cell viability test on graphite oxide composite hydrogel showed enough safety for using as a transdermal drug delivery patch. The performance of TDDS could be improved noticeably based on temperature-responsive hydrogel, thermally conductive graphite oxide, and efficient micro heater.  相似文献

In this paper, a fast acquisition scheme of pseudonoise (PN) sequences for direct-sequence spread-spectrum systems is proposed. The scheme exploits a new decision logic not only to estimate chip values, but also to check the reliability of the chip estimates. As a result, the internal state of a PN sequence generator is estimated more accurately. We derive the probability of finding a correct state estimate and show that the proposed scheme can reduce the average number of chips for acquisition when compared with the conventional scheme. It is also shown that the performance improvement is more noticeable in the moderate signal-to-noise-ratio range.  相似文献

The relationship between therapeutic alliance, therapist adherence to treatment protocol, and outcome was analyzed in a randomized trial of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and interpersonal psychotherapy for bulimia nervosa. Independent observers rated audiotapes of full-length therapy sessions. Purging frequency was the primary outcome variable. There were no significant therapist or Therapist × Treatment effects on outcome. Although results showed high levels of alliance and adherence across treatments, CBT was associated with greater adherence. Across treatments and time points, better adherence was associated with enhanced alliance. Treatment condition and baseline purging frequency, but not adherence, predicted outcome. Early alliance predicted posttreatment purging frequency. In temporal analyses, prior symptom change assessed early in treatment was significantly related to subsequent adherence at midtreatment.
