ABSTRACT

The construction of PVC matrix-type β-blockers (sotalol, carvedilol, and betaxolol) ion selective electrodes and their use for direct potentiometry of their respective species are described. The proposed sensors are based on the complex ion associates of β-blockers with tungstophosphate (TP) and Ammonium Reineckate (Rein) ionophoris in poly vinyl chloride membrane (PVC) with Dioctylphthalate (DOP) plasticizer. The four electrodes (Beta-TP), (Sota-TP), (Carve-TP), and (Cave-Rein) show stable potential response with near Nernstian slope of 50.8, 33.7, 32.35, and 33 mv per decade, range of concentration 10?2–10?7 M β-blockers. Selectivity coefficients data obtained for 11 different organic and inorganic ions are presented. The electrodes have fast response time (30 and 40 s) and were used over wide range of pH 4.5–8.5. Validation of the method according to the quality assurance standers shows suitability of proposed sensors for use in the quality control assessment of these drugs. The results obtained for the determination of β-blockers with the proposed electrodes show average recoveries of 100.78% and a mean standard deviation of ±1.2. The nominal are obtained. The data agree well with those obtained by standard methods.  相似文献

Magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) with an amine functionalized surface (MH) were passivated with carbonaceous materials (MH@C) by carbonization of glucose under hydrothermal reaction conditions. The carboxylate groups in carbonaceous shell could be enriched to 0.285 mmol/g when acrylic acid was added as a functional monomer in the carbonization reaction (MH@C-Ac). The carbonaceous shell not only protected the magnetic core from acidic erosion but also showed a high adsorption capacity toward Ni(2+) ion. The Ni(2+) ion complexed on MH@C and MH@C-Ac could specifically isolate 6×His tagged recombinant proteins from crude bacterial extracts via metal affinity interaction. The superparamagnetic property facilitates the easy retrieval of the carbonaceous material passivated MNPs from the viscous proteins solutions. Recombinant green fluorescence protein (GFP) and hyaluronic acid (HA) lyase of 9.4 mg and 2.3 mg could be isolated by 1 g of MH@C-Ac-Ni, respectively.  相似文献

Cerium(IV) oxide nanoparticles were synthesized using an inverse miniemulsion technique with cerium nitrate hexahydrate as precursor. The resulting nanocrystallites are as small as 5 nm with a specific surface area of 158 m2 g?1 after calcination at 400 °C. With the addition of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) or (poly(ethylene oxide)-b-poly(propylene oxide)-b-poly(ethylene oxide)) triblock copolymers (PEO-PPO-PEO) as template in the miniemulsion droplets, the specific surface area can be increased up to 255 m2 g?1. The miniemulsions were characterized by dynamic light scattering (DLS) and the obtained oxides were examined by x-ray diffraction (XRD), nitrogen sorption (BET and BJH), and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The catalytic activity of the resulting ceria was investigated for the temperature-programmed oxidation (TPO) of methane.  相似文献

A water-based hybrid zinc phosphate–polymer miniemulsion was synthesized via a multiple miniemulsion process. In this process zinc phosphate was synthesized in situ using homogenization of two inverse miniemulsions containing suitable precursors dispersed within a polymerizable continuous phase. Converting the resultant inverse miniemulsion into a direct miniemulsion, followed by polymerization, resulted in a water-based hybrid zinc phosphate, organic solvent free, which was used to coat steel panels via autodeposition. The coated panels were subjected to salt spray testing which showed better anticorrosion performance in comparison to an equivalent polymer coated panel prepared with a separate corrosion resistance step.  相似文献

Bone tissue engineering using in situ forming 3D scaffolds can be an alternative to surgically treated scaffolds. This work aimed to develop in situ forming scaffolds using poly (lactic-co-glycolic acid) and a bone synthesizing drug (risedronate) with or without the porogenic agent (collagen). Hybrid scaffolds were formed through solvent-induced phase inversion technique and were morphologically evaluated using scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The effect of scaffolds on Saos-2 cell line viability using 3-(4,5-dimethyl-2-thiazolyl)-2,5-diphenyl-2H-tetrazolium bromide test besides their effect on cell growth using fluorescence microscope was assessed. Furthermore, alkaline phosphatase (ALP) activity as well as Ca2+ deposition on the scaffolds was evaluated. SEM images revealed the porous structure for collagen-based scaffolds. Saos-2 cell proliferation was significantly enhanced with risedronate-loaded scaffolds compared to those lacking the drug. Porous collagen-based scaffolds were more favorable for both the cell growth and the promotion of ALP activity. Furthermore, collagen-based scaffolds promoted the Ca2+ deposition compared to their counterparts without collagen. Such results suggest that collagen-based scaffolds offer excellent biocompatibility for bone regeneration, where this biocompatible nature of scaffold leads to the proliferation of cells that lead to the deposition of mineral on the scaffold. Such in situ forming 3D scaffolds provide a promising noninvasive approach for bone tissue engineering.  相似文献
