A zero-degree spectrometer for tagging η mesons on the CELSIUS/WASA facility is described, and its characteristics are presented. Tagging of η mesons is performed by detecting 3He ions produced by reaction pd → 3Heη close to the production threshold. The low background level (<2%) is in good agreement with the data obtained earlier on the SATURNE accelerator. 相似文献

Ambient noise harms the human organism: it produces high levels of the stress hormones, disrupts the operation of the nervous system, provokes cardiovascular damage, and impairs hearing. In the creation of new noise-reducing materials, the goal is to increase porosity without loss of structural strength. With greater porosity and reduced thickness, acoustic insulation will be lighter, which is better for use in automobiles. In addition, the dynamic characteristics are improved, and vehicle assembly is simplified.

The parameters of a spectrometer for searching for deeply bound pionic states of xenon are presented. The main component of the spectrometer is a multilayer semiconductor telescope based on high-purity germanium detectors. A technique for calibrating the spectrometer and measuring its energy resolution using reactions p(d, 3He)π0 and 14N(d, 3He)13C is described. The energy resolution of the setup is shown to be 0.85 MeV for 3He ions with an energy of ~360 MeV. 相似文献

The RED-100 experimental setup, which is designed to detect elastic coherent neutrino scattering off xenon nuclei, is described. One specific feature of this setup is the possibility of using it in above ground experiments. The setup is based on the RED-100 two-phase emission detector in which liquid xenon is used as a working medium for detection of rare events. The results of the technical run with the setup are presented. These are the evidence of the normal operation of all systems and the readiness of the setup for carrying out an experiment. 相似文献

A prototype of a multichannel trigger based on programmable logic microcircuits is considered for constructing event selection
systems in up-to-date nuclear-physics experiments. Versions for building nanosecond electronic units based on a parameterized
programmable module library are given. Due to the parameterization and possible programmable control over modules by the built-in
processor, the two-level system adjustment is ensured both at the experiment preparation stage and directly during the setup
operation. The modules are controlled in real time and the prototype interacts with the external computer via the local area
