The possibility of detecting a weak desired signal passed through gas among signals propagating in the pipe wall when sounding the flow with clamp-on probes is demonstrated. The possibility of applying this method to measurement of gas flow rate in large-size pipelines is also shown.  相似文献

The paper analyzes improvements in the gamma-method for nondestructive evaluation of density of constant-thickness components fabricated from highly filled composite materials. A facility designed for such measurements is described. The parameters of the radiation source and detecting instrument required to guarantee the high precision of the method are determined. Results of tests of the experimental facility are given.  相似文献

Flatness gage IP-4 scans the surface of a plate as it moves along a roller conveyor. The measurements are made at a frequency that prevents any local convexities or concavities on the surface from going undetected. The flatness criterion used is based on the angles of inclination of elements of the surface relative to the base plane. Comparison of measurements made with the IP-4 on a plate moving along a roller conveyor and static measurements made with an Optel unit showed good visual and statistical agreement between the two sets of results. Repeated measurements made on the same plate immediately after its planishing showed that the shape of the plate changes somewhat during its cooling. However, the information obtained on these changes is not presently reliable enough to serve as a basis for making any corrections to the planishing regime. __________ Translated from Metallurg, No. 5, pp. 68–71, May, 2006.  相似文献

We describe a domestically-manufactured flatness sensor capable of measuring nonuniformities in metal outflow from the gap between rollers-a quantity directly required for adjustment of flatness in rolled strips. __________ Translated from Metallurg, No. 3, pp. 72–75, March, 2007.  相似文献

The gage IP-4 is a Russian-made noncontact flatness gage that can measure the flatness of ferrous and nonferrous strip and sheet on hot-and cold-rolling mills and other types of equipment (straightening machines, coilers, shears, etc.). The IP-4 gage is significantly less expensive than its counterparts, is resistant to vibrations and other factors that complicate measurement during the rolling operation, and has almost no operating costs. The IP-4 has been subjected to repeated and extensive testing and is ready for use in the manufacture of rolled products. __________ Translated from Metallurg, No. 6, pp. 43–46, June, 2007.  相似文献
