The device degradation under ac and dc stress have been discussed and a relationship between the two has been established,. We have shown that the commonly used lifetime criteria of 10% linear current degradation for 10 years for a transistor under dc stress is overly conservative for representing the circuit operating lifetime. Using experimental and simulated data for inverter chains, we proposed that a meaningful equivalent lifetime based on 10% Idl degradation under dc stress is 1 year lifetime (for a 10 year circuit lifetime based on 54b degradation in ring oscillator frequency). We also compared this criteria to actual circuit degradation for microprocessors and a DRAM. For DSP microprocessors with 0.8 μm LDD transistors, the projected lifetime was more than 200 years at 5.5 V, with a corresponding 10% I dr lifetime of 20 years. For 1 Mb DRAMs with 1 pm LDD transistors, the 5% speed degradation lifetime at 5.5 V was more than 100 years, whereas the individual transistors had 10% Idl lifetime of 4 years. These circuit results support the 10% Idl transistor lifetime. We believe these criterion should be very safe and reasonable for digital IC chips currently in the field, as well as those in future design and development  相似文献

From September 2002 to October 2010, the Envisat radar altimeter surveyed Greenland and Antarctica ice sheets on a 35 day repeat orbit, providing a unique data set for ice sheet mass balance studies. Up to 85 repeat cycles are available and the whole Envisat data set may be along-track processed in order to provide height variability and trend with a good spatial resolution for the objectives of ice sheet survey.

Soon, a joint Centre National d’Etudes Spatiales/Indian Space Research Organisation mission, SARAL (Satellite with Argos and AltiKa), with the AltiKa payload on board, will be launched on exactly the same orbit (less than 1 km of the nomimal orbit in the across-track direction). This will allow an extension of previous European Remote Sensing (ERS) satellite, ERS-1 and ERS-2, and Envisat missions of the European Space Agency (ESA), in particular from the point of view of ice altimetry. However, AltiKa operates in the Ka band (36.8 GHz), a higher frequency than the classical Ku band (13.6 GHz), leading to important modifications and potential improvements in the interactions between radar wave and snow-pack.

In this paper, a synthesis is presented of all available information relevant to ice altimetry scientific purposes as derived from the Envisat mission: mean and temporal derivatives of the height ? but also of the backscatter and of the two waveform parameters ? snow-pack change corrections, across-track surface slope at 1 km scale, etc. The spatial and temporal variability of ice sheet surface elevation is investigated with the help of the high-resolution Envisat along-track observations. We show that at least 50 repeat cycles are needed to reach the required accuracy for the elevation trend. It is thus advocated as potentially highly beneficial for SARAL/AltiKa as a follow-on mission. Moreover, the novel characteristics of SARAL/AltiKa are promising in improving our understanding of snow penetration impact.  相似文献

This paper deals with dense optical flow estimation from the perspective of the trade-off between quality of the estimated flow and computational cost which is required by real-world applications. We propose a fast and robust local method, denoted by eFOLKI, and describe its implementation on GPU. It leads to very high performance even on large image formats such as 4 K (3,840 × 2,160) resolution. In order to assess the interest of eFOLKI, we first present a comparative study with currently available GPU codes, including local and global methods, on a large set of data with ground truth. eFOLKI appears significantly faster while providing quite accurate and highly robust estimated flows. We then show, on four real-time video processing applications based on optical flow, that eFOLKI reaches the requirements both in terms of estimated flows quality and of processing rate.  相似文献

Deterministic lateral displacement (DLD) devices enable to separate nanometer to micrometer‐sized particles around a cutoff diameter, during their transport through a microfluidic channel with slanted rows of pillars. In order to design appropriate DLD geometries for specific separation sizes, robust models are required to anticipate the value of the cutoff diameter. So far, the proposed models result in a single cutoff diameter for a given DLD geometry. This paper shows that the cutoff diameter actually varies along the DLD channel, especially in narrow pillar arrays. Experimental and numerical results reveal that the variation of the cutoff diameter is induced by boundary effects at the channel side walls, called the wall effect. The wall effect generates unexpected particle trajectories that may compromise the separation efficiency. In order to anticipate the wall effect when designing DLD devices, a predictive model is proposed in this work and has been validated experimentally. In addition to the usual geometrical parameters, a new parameter, the number of pillars in the channel cross dimension, is considered in this model to investigate its influence on the particle trajectories.  相似文献

Most post-processors for boundary element (BE) analysis use an auxiliary domain mesh to display domain results, working against the profitable modelling process of a pure boundary discretization. This paper introduces a novel visualization technique which preserves the basic properties of the boundary element methods. The proposed algorithm does not require any domain discretization and is based on the direct and automatic identification of isolines. Another critical aspect of the visualization of domain results in BE analysis is the effort required to evaluate results in interior points. In order to tackle this issue, the present article also provides a comparison between the performance of two different BE formulations (conventional and hybrid). In addition, this paper presents an overview of the most common post-processing and visualization techniques in BE analysis, such as the classical algorithms of scan line and the interpolation over a domain discretization. The results presented herein show that the proposed algorithm offers a very high performance compared with other visualization procedures.  相似文献

This work presents a new method for tracking and segmenting along time-interacting objects within an image sequence. One major contribution of the paper is the formalization of the notion of visible and occluded parts. For each object, we aim at tracking these two parts. Assuming that the velocity of each object is driven by a dynamical law, predictions can be used to guide the successive estimations. Separating these predicted areas into good and bad parts with respect to the final segmentation and representing the objects with their visible and occluded parts permit handling partial and complete occlusions. To achieve this tracking, a label is assigned to each object and an energy function representing the multilabel problem is minimized via a graph cuts optimization. This energy contains terms based on image intensities which enable segmenting and regularizing the visible parts of the objects. It also includes terms dedicated to the management of the occluded and disappearing areas, which are defined on the areas of prediction of the objects. The results on several challenging sequences prove the strength of the proposed approach.  相似文献

This paper proposes a non-parametric method for the classification of thin-layer chromatographic (TLC) images from patterns represented in a dissimilarity space. Each pattern corresponds to a mixture of Gaussian approximation of the intensity profile. The methodology comprises various phases, including image processing and analysis steps to extract the chromatographic profiles and a classification phase to discriminate among two groups, one corresponding to normal cases and the other to three pathological classes. We present an extensive study of several dissimilarity-based approaches analysing the influence of the dissimilarity measure and the prototype selection method on the classification performance. The main conclusions of this paper are that, Match and Profile-difference dissimilarity measures present better results, and a new prototype selection methodology achieves a performance similar or even better than conventional methods. Furthermore, we also concluded that simplest classifiers, such as k-NN and linear discriminant classifiers (LDCs), present good performance being the overall classification error less than 10% for the four-class problem.  相似文献

The immobilization of 2,4-diamino-1,3,5-triazine on carbon Vulcan XC72R surface was achieved through the in situ diazotization of melamine. The resulting grafted species represent 2.3 wt.% of the modified material and are thermally stable up to 265 °C. Nitrogen adsorption isotherms show that the carbon microporosity decreased after modification translating in a 25% decrease of the BET surface area. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy data suggest the presence of 2,4-diamino-1,3,5-triazine groups at the surface by bonding through a carbon–carbon bond and/or by an azo bridge. These materials were evaluated as CO2 sorbents by thermal swing adsorption in a thermogravimetric analyzer. At 40 °C, the modified powders displayed a maximal adsorption capacity of 0.23 mmol/g that is smaller than the initial unmodified material. Nonetheless adsorption capacity of the grafting groups helps to improve the selectivity of the materials although physisorption seems to be the main mechanism for CO2 capture.  相似文献
