Aiming to develop high-strength Al-based alloys with high material index (strength/density) for structural application, this article reports a new class of multiphase Al alloys in the Al-Ni-Cr system that possess impressive room temperature and elevated temperature (≥ 200 °C) mechanical properties. The ternary eutectic and near eutectic alloys display a complex microstructure containing intermetallic phases displaying hierarchically arranged plate and rod morphologies that exhibit extraordinary mechanical properties. The yield strengths achieved at room temperatures are in excess of 350 MPa with compressive plastic strains of more than 30 pct (without fracturing) for these alloys. The stability of the complex microstructure also leads to a yield stress of 191 ± 8 to 232 ± 5 MPa at 250 °C. It is argued that the alloys derive their high strength and impressive plasticity through synergic effects of refined nanoeutectics of two different morphologies forming a core shell type of architecture.  相似文献

The accurate determination of geomechanical properties such as uniaxial compressive strength and shear strength requires considerable time in collecting appropriate samples, their preparation and laboratory testing. To minimize the time and cost, a number of empirical relations have been reported which are widely used for the estimation of complex rock properties from more easily acquired data. This paper reports the use of an artificial neural network to predict the deformation properties of Coal Measure rocks using dynamic wave velocity, point load index, slake durability index and density. Alloying/doping in 2D material is important due to wide range bandgap tunability. Increasing the number of components would increase the degree of freedom which can provide more flexibility in tuning the bandgap and also reduces the growth temperature. Here, synthesis of quaternary alloys Mox W1?x S2y Se2(1?y ) is reported using chemical vapor deposition. The composition of alloys is tuned by changing the growth temperatures. As a result, the bandgap can be tuned which varies from 1.61 to 1.85 eV. The detailed theoretical calculation supports the experimental observation and shows a possibility of wide tunability of bandgap.  相似文献

The aim of this study was to prepare and characterize a topical formulation for sustained delivery of rizatriptan. Elastic liposomal formulation of rizatriptan was prepared and characterized for different characteristics by evaluating in vitro and in vivo parameters. The in vivo performance of optimized formulation was evaluated for antimigraine activity in mice using morphine withdrawal-induced hyperalgesia. The in vitro skin permeation study across rat skin suggested carrier-mediated transdermal permeation for different elastic liposomal formulation to range between 18.1 +/- 0.6 and 42.7 +/- 2.3 microg/h/cm(2), which was approximately 8-19 times higher than that obtained using drug solution. The amount of drug deposited was 10-fold higher for elastic liposome (39.9 +/- 3.2%) than using drug solution (3.8 +/- 1%); similarly the biological activity of optimized elastic liposome formulation was found to be threefold higher than the drug solution. On the basis of the results, it can be concluded that the elastic liposomal formulation provided sustained action of rizatriptan due to depot formation in the deeper layer of skin.  相似文献
