The dehydroalkylation of toluene with ethane to the isomeric ethyltoluenes was studied on 0.4Pt/H-ZSM-5 at varying contact times (1/WHSV). At a high contact time of 1.0 h, toluene disproportionation and hydrogenolysis reactions dominate, resulting in low selectivity to the desired ethyltoluenes via the alkylation reaction. However, at a low contact time of 0.12 h side reactions are eliminated, resulting in maximum selectivities to the kinetically favored ethyltoluenes and hydrogen. Results at high selectivities to ethyltoluenes provide significant insight into reaction pathways.  相似文献

BACKGROUND: Over the past several decades methyl tert‐butyl ether (MTBE) as additive to gasoline, intended to either boost ratings of fuel or to reduce air pollution, has been accepted worldwide. Since MTBE has high water solubility, the occurrence of fuel spills or leaks from underground storage tanks or transferring pipeline has led to the contamination of natural waters. In this study the degradation of aqueous MTBE at relatively high concentrations was investigated by a UV‐visible/ZnO/H2O2 photocatalytic process. The effects of important operational parameters such as pH, amount of H2O2, catalyst loading and irradiation time were also investigated. Concentration of MTBE and intermediates such as tert‐butyl formate and tert‐butyl alcohol were measured. RESULTS: Time required for complete degradation increased from 20 to 150 min when the initial concentration was increased from 10 to 500 mg L?1. The first‐order rate constants for degradation of MTBE were estimated to be 0.183–0.022 min?1 as the concentration increased from 10 to 500 mg L?1. Study of the overall mineralization monitored by total organic carbon analysis showed that at an initial concentration of 100 mg L?1 MTBE complete mineralization was obtained after 100 min under UV‐visible/ZnO/H2O2 photocatalysis. CONCLUSION: The data presented in this paper clearly indicated that UV‐visible/ZnO/O2 as an advanced oxidation process provides an efficient treatment alternative for the remediation of MTBE‐contaminated waters. This paper considers the problem of employing multiple unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to the mobile ad hoc network (MANET) as relay backbone nodes to construct the backbone network, to improve the network connectivity, and to address many issues in the MANET such as linkage, capacity, load balance, and reliability. With considering the dynamic nature of the problem, this study provides several linear location problem models and their extensions to accommodate these issues. Due to the size of linear location models associated with a large number of constraints, the problem becomes computational challenging even with modest size of nodes. To overcome the computational barrier, we recast these location problem models using a quadratic unconstrained binary optimization (QUBO) framework and solve these QUBO models with a Tabu search heuristic with preprocessing. The analysis of the solutions that are produced by QUBO together with the comparisons made with the linear model highlight both the attractiveness and robustness of the proposed approach. The results of this study provide support to future advanced routing protocol development.  相似文献

In this paper a novel MEMS tunable CPW antenna with wide tuning range of frequency is presented. The antenna’s frequency tuning range increment is achieved by loading three novel large tuning range capacitors at radiation edge of antenna patch. Two techniques are employed for increasing the capacitors tuning range. First, dual gap technique is used to overcome the pull-in limitation and then two lateral beams are added in order to parallel movement of capacitive plate which increases the capacitance value. The simulation result shows that the resonance frequency tuning range of antenna increased from 1.96 GHz loaded by traditional capacitor to 6.89 GHz using the new capacitor structure. Also in resonance frequency, the antenna has a good impedance matching with transmission line even in high capacitance values.  相似文献

In this paper, we have fabricated a new microphone using aluminum (Al) slotted perforated diaphragm and back plate electrode, and photoresist (AZ1500) sacrificial layer on silicon wafer. The novelty of this method relies on aluminum diaphragm includes some slots to reduce the effect of residual stress and stiffness of diaphragm for increasing the microphone sensitivity. The acoustic holes are made on diaphragm to reduce the air damping, and avoid the disadvantages of non standard silicon processing for making back chamber and holes in back plate, which are more complex and expensive. Photoresist sacrificial layer is easy to deposition by spin coater and also easy to release by acetone. Moreover, acetone has a high selectivity to resist compared to silicon oxide and Al, thus it completely removes sacrificial resist without incurring significant damage silicon oxide and Al. The measured zero bias capacitance is 17.5 pF, and its pull-in voltage is 25 V. The microphone has been tested with external amplifier and speaker, the external amplifier was able to detect the sound waves from microphone on speaker and oscilloscope. The maximum amplitude of output speech signal of amplifier is 45 mV, and the maximum output of MEMS microphone is 1.125 μV.  相似文献

The main purpose of this paper is to provide a methodology for discussing the fuzzy. Bayesian system reliability from the fuzzy component reliabilities, actually we discuss on the Fuzzy Bayesian system reliability assessment based on Pascal distribution, because the data sometimes cannot be measured and recorded precisely. In order to apply the Bayesian approach, the fuzzy parameters are assumed as fuzzy random variables with fuzzy prior distributions. The (conventional) Bayes estimation method will be used to create the fuzzy Bayes point estimator of system reliability by invoking the well-known theorem called ‘Resolution Identity’ in fuzzy sets theory. On the other hand, we also provide the computational procedures to evaluate the membership degree of any given Bayes point estimate of system reliability. In order to achieve this purpose, we transform the original problem into a nonlinear programming problem. This nonlinear programming problem is then divided into four sub-problems for the purpose of simplifying computation. Finally, the sub problems can be solved by using any commercial optimizers, e.g. GAMS or LINGO.  相似文献

Surface roughness of quartz particles was determined by measuring the specific surface area of particles. The wettability characteristics of particles were determined by measuring the flotation rate using a laboratory flotation cell. Experimental results show that the rod mill product has higher roughness than the ball mill product. For the particles with larger surface roughness, the flotation kinetics constant is also higher. Finally, empirical relationships between surface roughness (r) and the flotation kinetics constant (k) of quartz particles as k=A+Br+Cr 0.5lnr+D/lnr+E/r and k=A+Br are presented, in which A, B, C, D and E are constants related to experimental conditions and mineralogical properties of mineral.  相似文献
