Titanium alkoxides hydrolyse vigorously with water producing polycondensates whose equivalent oxide content varies from 70% to over 90%. This variation reflects the average molecular size and the nature of the terminal bonds. Hydrolysis conditions also affect the molecular and particle morphologies modifying the crystallization and sintering behaviour of oxide materials derived from polycondensates. It is also possible to form clear polymer solutions under excess water hydrolysis with the addition of certain acids. Investigations show that there is a window in the acid concentration which provides long-term solution stability. The gels formed from these clear solutions shrink in their liquor under certain conditions and the introduction of hydrogen peroxide into the liquor (surrounding the gel) causes vigorous gel shrinkage.  相似文献

The architecture and some of the specific features of a Scan and Clock Resource (SCR) chip are described. This chip is currently being used in a high-end workstation product to provide access to the testability features of the individual chips and/or printed circuit boards. Using a board-level controller to gain access to the testability features of system components and interfacing the controller to a diagnostics processor (or external tester) is emerging as a common strategy for designing testable digital systems. Based upon experience gained from such an application, controller features that are deemed useful are discussed.This paper is an enhanced version of the author's earlier paper titled Towards a Standard Approach for Controlling Board-Level Test Functions, presented at the IEEE International Test Conference, ITC'90, Washington D.C., September 1990.  相似文献

This is a position paper on our views on security aspects of Wireless Multimedia Sensor Networks (Secure WMSNs). It is meant to serve as a brief survey. But, more importantly, it gives a perspective on how we foresee the future of this research area, its main challenges, and its future trends. Polymeric (viscoelastic) fluids have nonlinear mechanical properties and therefore the flow of a sufficiently elastic polymer solution may become irregular even at very low Re. Experimental evidences of these flow irregularities occurred near pipe exit at Re << 1 are presented here for Poiseuille flow of a highly elastic polymer solution. Although the Re is extremely low, the measured instantaneous pressures show turbulent-like fluctuations induced by elasticity of the fluid. Temporal nature of these fluctuations is analyzed in terms of Deborah number (De) that provides an appropriate measure for degree of nonlinearity in a polymeric flow.  相似文献

Hot rolled steel (HRS) is used extensively in the automotive, agricultural and appliance industries. The corrosive response of HRS was investigated after it had been exposed to various surface treatments, prior to powder coating. The behaviour of three conversion coatings: zinc phosphate (ZnP), iron phosphate (FeP) and zirconium (Zr)-based nano-scaled, on HRS was studied. HRS is naturally covered with iron oxide scale and this was removed from the surface by mechanical and chemical processes, prior to the application of surface treatment and organic coatings. The following tests on differently treated panels were conducted to evaluate corrosion performance: adhesion tests such as, crosshatch, pull-off, and conical bending, SEM, XPS, salt spray and electro-chemical impedance studies were also performed. Good correlations were recorded showing that zinc phosphate conversion coating gave the best performance, and zirconium-based nano-structured conversion coating, was superior to that of iron phosphate conversion coatings on HRS.  相似文献

Due to the fact that the environmental issues have become more serious recently, interest in renewable energy systems, such as, fuel-cells (FCs) has increased steadfastly. Among many types of FCs, proton exchange membrane FC (PEMFC) is one of the most promising power sources due to its advantages, such as, low operation temperature, high power density and low emission. However, using sole PEMFC for dynamic loads may not be feasible to satisfy the peak demand changes. Therefore, hybridizing PEMFC and an energy storage system (ESS) decreases the FC cost and improves its performance and life. Ultra-capacitor (UC) is the most powerful candidate to hybridize with PEMFC for dynamic loads. The DC–DC converter is the key enabling technology for hybridization of PEMFC and UC. Generally, the efficiency and performance of hybridization is largely limited by the converter topology employed for the mentioned hybridization. Integrating each source (PEMFC and UC) with a DC–DC converter is not feasible in terms of cost, performance, and control. Due to the above mentioned reasons, an attractive converter topology which can combine PEMFC and UC is strongly required. In this regard, the objective of this study is to design and simulate a novel double input DC–DC converter based on current additivity concept, in order to combine two different types of energy systems (PEMFCs and UCs).  相似文献

Mycotoxins are considered to be heat‐stable molecules. Because of their toxic effects, information about their stability in thermal processes and potential inactivation procedures is needed. Numerous reports in the literature over a number of years have described the fate of mycotoxin during thermal food processing, including cooking, boiling, baking, frying, roasting and pasteurization. This review focuses on the effects of various thermal treatments on mycotoxins, while the fate of mycotoxins during extrusion processing, which is one of the most important technologies employed in the food industry, will also be reviewed.
