The dynamical behaviour of nonlinear electrical circuits is usually modelled in the time domain by differential-algebraic equations (DAEs). The differential-algebraic formalism drives qualitative analyses based on linearization to a matrix pencil setting. In this context, the present paper performs a spectral analysis of matrix pencils and DAEs arising in nonlinear circuit theory. Specifically, the non-singularity, hyperbolicity and asymptotic stability of equilibria are addressed in terms of circuit topology. The differential-algebraic framework puts the results beyond those already known for state-space models, unfeasible in many actual problems. The topological conditions arising in this qualitative study are proved independent of those supporting the index, and therefore they apply to both index-1 and index-2 configurations. The approach illustrates how graph theory, matrix analysis and DAE theory interact in the dynamical study of nonlinear circuits.  相似文献

With the goal of improving process efficiency and reducing risk, this article describes a pollution-prevention analysis technique that can be applied to most secondary steel heat-treating operations involving quenching. Costs, risk assessments, and pollution-prevention options are discussed, as are the effects of quenching on two subsequent processes—parts cleaning and tempering. In contrast to many process comparisons, the issues of worker exposure, material safety and toxicity, liability, waste reduction, reclamation, and disposal are emphasized.  相似文献

Conclusion We have seen that the stationary solutions of the regularized equations are asymptotically stable if the stationary solution of the original quasilinear index-2 tractable DAE is so. The field of superamphiphobic surface fabrication has evolved rapidly in the last decade; however, research on important issues such as sustainability and green chemistry procedures is still scarce. Herein, a simple method of microwave irradiation (MW) to minimize energy consumption during the preparation of superamphiphobic aluminum (Al) surfaces is reported. Al substrates are first etched in diluted HCl solutions to generate a microstructure and then irradiated in a commercial microwave unit for several time intervals, temperatures, and pressures. The surfaces are then coated with different compounds, and the wettability is tested with high and very-low surface tension liquids. Optical profilometry and scanning electron microscopy images show that the density of hierarchical micro-nanostructures increases with MW time, temperature, and pressure. At 170 °C and 7.9 bar, the surfaces present a high density of structures and re-entrant topographies. The obtained coatings display excellent repellence to liquids with surface tensions as low as 27.5 mN m−1. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy data show the importance of efficient surface functionalization for the production of superamphiphobicity in Al substrates. The results show that MW irradiation of Al substrates can be a green and efficient method for fabricating superamphiphobic surfaces.  相似文献

GOST 34.10 is Russia's DSA. Like its US counterpart, GOST is an ElGamal-like signature scheme used in Schnorr mode. It is similar to NIST DSA in many aspects. In this paper we will overview GOST 34.10 and discuss the three main differences between the two algorithms, (i) GOST's principal design criterion does not seem to be computational efficiency: the algorithm is 1.6 times slower than the DSA and produces 512-bit signatures. This is mainly due to the usage of the modulus q which is at least 254 bits long. During verification, modular inverses are computed by exponentiation (while the Extended Euclidian algorithm is roughly 100 times faster for this parameter size) and the generation of the public parameters is much more complicated than in the DSA. This choice of the parameters makes GOST 34.10 very secure. (ii) GOST signers do not have to generate modular inverses as the basic signature equation is s = xr + mk (mod q) instead of (mod q). (iii) GOST's hash function (the Russian equivalent of the SHA) is the standard GOST 34.11 which uses the block cipher GOST 28147 (partially classified) as a building block. Nerve growth factor (NGF) is known to intensify pain in various ways, so perturbing pertinent effects without negating its essential influences on neuronal functions could help the search for much-needed analgesics. Towards this goal, cultured neurons from neonatal rat trigeminal ganglia—a locus for craniofacial sensory nerves—were used to examine how NGF affects the Ca2+-dependent release of a pain mediator, calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP), that is triggered by activating a key signal transducer, transient receptor potential vanilloid 1 (TRPV1) with capsaicin (CAP). Measurements utilised neurons fed with or deprived of NGF for 2 days. Acute re-introduction of NGF induced Ca2+-dependent CGRP exocytosis that was inhibited by botulinum neurotoxin type A (BoNT/A) or a chimera of/E and/A (/EA), which truncated SNAP-25 (synaptosomal-associated protein with Mr = 25 k) at distinct sites. NGF additionally caused a Ca2+-independent enhancement of the neuropeptide release evoked by low concentrations (<100 nM) of CAP, but only marginally increased the peak response to ≥100 nM. Notably, BoNT/A inhibited CGRP exocytosis evoked by low but not high CAP concentrations, whereas/EA effectively reduced responses up to 1 µM CAP and inhibited to a greater extent its enhancement by NGF. In addition to establishing that sensitisation of sensory neurons to CAP by NGF is dependent on SNARE-mediated membrane fusion, insights were gleaned into the differential ability of two regions in the C-terminus of SNAP-25 (181–197 and 198–206) to support CAP-evoked Ca2+-dependent exocytosis at different intensities of stimulation.  相似文献

Various expert system development approaches were proposed but most of them cannot deal with two problems: the difficulty of analysis and maintenance. Rather than to spend time waiting any longer, it is better to find an alternative solution from other research fields. In computer software development area, researchers have been suffering from the difficulty of maintenance and analysis, just as the researchers in the expert system development field. To solve this issue, researchers in the software used both agile software development and business rules approach: agile software development is for overcoming the the difficulty of analysis, and business rules approach is for reducing issues in the maintenance. There is a big opportunity that those two approaches can also be solve the two issues in the expert system development field. The paper describes requirements of the approach based on agile software development and the business rules approach. As a result, we consider and specify why the Multiple Classification Ripple Down Rules is the novel approach for the expert system development.  相似文献

In this paper we present several semistate or differential‐algebraic models arising in nodal analysis of nonlinear circuits including memristors. The goal is to characterize the tractability index of these models under strict passivity assumptions, a key issue for the numerical simulation of circuit dynamics. We show that the main model, which combines memristors' fluxes and charges, is index two. From a technical point of view, this result is based on the use of a projector along the image of the leading matrix, in contrast to previous index analyses. For charge‐controlled memristors, the elimination of fluxes yields an index one system in topologically nondegenerate circuits, and an index two model otherwise. Analogous results are also proved to hold for flux‐controlled memristors. Our framework accommodates coupling effects among resistors, memristors, capacitors and inductors. A GaAs monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) dual-gate FET active mixer at X-band is described that is designed for direct broadcast satellite (DBS) applications. All of the components of the mixer, including biasing circuitry, RF, LO, and IF matching networks, as well as the IF noise filter, are implemented monolithically into a 25-mil×30-mil area. The design was process tolerant, and layout was compact for manufacturability and low cost. The mixer was integrated monolithically into a complete single-chip DBS low-noise block (LNB) converter. The active mixer has a conversion gain of 5.5 dB and a single-sideband noise figure of 8.5 dB.
