All parameters related to car energy were investigated in this work, and the power basics of a car design powered by solar energy are laid down. Year-round weather conditions, car weight, road roughness and road inclination were taken as variable parameters used to calculate the car speed and working hours (year round). Fixed parameters taken for the design were: a photovoltaic generator area of 6 m2, car length of 5 m, car width of 1.8 m and maximum power output of 480 W/person with a maximum of two persons. These parameters depended on the regulations of “Tour de Sol '91”. Calculations depended on Amman weather conditions. Sixteen ASI 16-200 ARCO SOLAR INC. model photovoltaic modules were used, with three DELCO 1150 lead acid batteries connected to a permanent magnet DC motor of 0.8 hp. This car can run at different speeds 3–6 hours/day on 200 days/year.  相似文献

Properties of concrete incorporating fine recycled aggregate   总被引:5,自引:0,他引:5  
The properties of concrete containing fine recycled aggregate are investigated. Recycled aggregate consisted of crushed concrete (CC) or crushed brick (CB) with particles less than 5 mm in diameter. The free water/cement ratio was kept constant for all mixes. The fine aggregate in concrete was replaced with 0%, 25%, 50% and 100% CC or CB. Generally, there is strength reduction of 15-30% for concrete containing CC. However, concrete incorporating up to 50% CB exhibits similar long-term strength to that of the control. Even at 100% replacement of fine aggregate with CB, the reduction in strength is only 10%. Beyond 28 days of curing, the rate of strength development in concrete containing either CC or CB is higher than that of the control indicating further cementing action in the presence of fine recycled aggregate. More shrinkage and expansion occur in concrete containing CC or CB.  相似文献

Recent technological advances in hardware design of the robotic platforms enabled the implementation of various control modalities for improved interactions with humans and unstructured environments. An important application area for the integration of robots with such advanced interaction capabilities is human–robot collaboration. This aspect represents high socio-economic impacts and maintains the sense of purpose of the involved people, as the robots do not completely replace the humans from the work process. The research community’s recent surge of interest in this area has been devoted to the implementation of various methodologies to achieve intuitive and seamless human–robot-environment interactions by incorporating the collaborative partners’ superior capabilities, e.g. human’s cognitive and robot’s physical power generation capacity. In fact, the main purpose of this paper is to review the state-of-the-art on intermediate human–robot interfaces (bi-directional), robot control modalities, system stability, benchmarking and relevant use cases, and to extend views on the required future developments in the realm of human–robot collaboration.  相似文献

The objective of this study was to characterize the genetic architecture underlying the absolute concentrations of 2 important milk proteins, κ-casein (κ-CN) and β-lactoglobulin (β-LG), in a backcross population of (Holstein × Jersey) × Holstein cattle. A genome-wide association analysis was performed using a selective DNA pooling strategy and the Illumina BovineHD BeadChip assay [777,000 (777K) SNP markers; Illumina Inc., San Diego, CA]. After correction for multiple testing, 25 single nucleotide polymorphisms were found to be associated with κ-CN and 36 single nucleotide polymorphisms were associated with β-LG. A pathway association analysis revealed 15 Gene Ontology (GO) terms associated with the κ-CN trait and 28 GO terms associated with β-LG. In addition, several GO terms were associated with both milk proteins. Further analysis revealed that κ-CN and β-LG production is regulated by both kinase and phosphatase activity, including mechanisms regulating the extracellular matrix. These results are in concordance with the complex multihormonal process controlling the expression of milk proteins and interactions between mammary epithelial cells and extracellular matrix components. Although κ-CN and β-LG milk proteins are expressed by single genes, the results from this study showed that many loci are involved in the regulation of the concentration of these 2 proteins.  相似文献

In recent years, there is a growing interest in the use of crushed sand obtained from limestone quarries in some countries where river sand is not widely available. The fines content is usually high in crushed sand which can adversely affect concrete properties. The influence of fines in crushed sand on physical and mechanical properties of concrete has been widely investigated. The results proved that up to 15% of fines content in crushed sand could be used without adversely affecting concrete strength. However, little work has been done so far on the effect of fines in crushed sand on the durability of concrete. This paper examines the influence of limestone fines in crushed sand on concrete properties. Properties include strength, water, gas and chloride-ion permeability and capillary water absorption. Four different cement types were used while maintaining a constant water/cement ratio. The results show that concrete containing 15% of limestone fines as replacement of crushed sand reduces the water permeability and increases the gas and chloride-ion permeability.  相似文献

The aim of this article is to analyze the spectral stability of the three phase shift distributed feedback (3ps-dfb) laser by using Time domain model (tdm). We have developed a software that simulates static and dynamic properties of distributed feedback (dfb) multi-sections laser at large signal. The best single-mode stability operation up to 18mW of the 3ps-dfb is achieved for three phase shifts at (π, π, π) whatever the phase position. These results showed that the 3ps-dfb laser was a much more suitable structure to realize stable single-mode high-power operation for a coherent optical communication system.  相似文献

This paper reports the design of a hermetic-compatible wafer-scale package for RF MEMS based components. The presented packaging concept consists in encapsulating the whole RF device or subsystem instead of encapsulating each MEMS component separately, which will reduce the device size and cost. This approach is based on the MEMS fabrication technology on ceramic substrate and the use of laser drilled vias hole techniques to realize full metallized vias in alumina substrates. These vias holes will allow a low loss RF signal transmission inside the package without breaking its hermeticity. Hence, several packaged switching networks prototypes, based on ohmic contact MEMS switches, have been designed following this approach and the packaging electromagnetic impact on these components has been especially studied to result on good performance devices.  相似文献
