The increasing demand on execution of large-scale Cloud workflow applications which need a robust and elastic computing infrastructure usually lead to the use of high-performance Grid computing clusters. As the owners of Cloud applications expect to fulfill the requested Quality of Services (QoS) by the Grid environment, an adaptive scheduling mechanism is needed which enables to distribute a large number of related tasks with different computational and communication demands on multi-cluster Grid computing environments. Addressing the problem of scheduling large-scale Cloud workflow applications onto multi-cluster Grid environment regarding the QoS constraints declared by application’s owner is the main contribution of this paper. Heterogeneity of resource types (service type) is one of the most important issues which significantly affect workflow scheduling in Grid environment. On the other hand, a Cloud application workflow is usually consisting of different tasks with the need for different resource types to complete which we call it heterogeneity in workflow. The main idea which forms the soul of all the algorithms and techniques introduced in this paper is to match the heterogeneity in Cloud application’s workflow to the heterogeneity in Grid clusters. To obtain this objective a new bi-level advanced reservation strategy is introduced, which is based upon the idea of first performing global scheduling and then conducting local scheduling. Global-scheduling is responsible to dynamically partition the received DAG into multiple sub-workflows that is realized by two collaborating algorithms: (1) The Critical Path Extraction algorithm (CPE) which proposes a new dynamic task overall critically value strategy based on DAG’s specification and requested resource type QoS status to determine the criticality of each task; and (2) The DAG Partitioning algorithm (DAGP) which introduces a novel dynamic score-based approach to extract sub-workflows based on critical paths by using a new Fuzzy Qualitative Value Calculation System to evaluate the environment. Local-scheduling is responsible for scheduling tasks on suitable resources by utilizing a new Multi-Criteria Advance Reservation algorithm (MCAR) which simultaneously meets high reliability and QoS expectations for scheduling distributed Cloud-base applications. We used the simulation to evaluate the performance of the proposed mechanism in comparison with four well-known approaches. The results show that the proposed algorithm outperforms other approaches in different QoS related terms.  相似文献

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is the most common endocrine and metabolic disorder in reproductive-aged women, and it typically involves elevated androgen levels. Recently, it has been reported that human bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (hBM-MSCs) can regulate androgen synthesis pathways. However, the details of the mechanism are still unclear. hBM-MSC-derived secreted factors (the secretome) are promising sources of cell-based therapy as they consist of various types of proteins. It is thus important to know which proteins interact with disease-implicated biomolecules. This work aimed to investigate which secretome components contain the key factor that inhibits testosterone synthesis. In this study, we fractionated hBM-MSC-conditioned media into three fractions based on their molecular weights and found that, of the three fractions, one had the ability to inhibit the androgen-producing genes efficiently. We also analyzed the components of this fraction and established a protein profile of the hBM-MSC secretome, which was shown to inhibit androgen synthesis. Our study describes a set of protein components present in the hBM-MSC secretome that can be used therapeutically to treat PCOS by regulating androgen production for the first time.  相似文献

The effects of plasticizers,antioxidants and burning rate modifiers on the aging performance of the composite solid propellant based on hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene(HTPB)/hexamethylene diisocyanate(HMDI)were explored by apply-ing an accelerated aging program for 90 day at 70 ℃. The HTPB propellant matrix with the diisooctyl sebacate(DOS)as plasti-cizers and diisooctyl azelate(DOZ), antioxidants as N,N ′-Diphenyl-p-phenylenediamine(AO) and 2,2′-methylenebis(4-methyl-6-tert-butylphenol)(cyanox 2246)and burning rate modifiers as barium ferrite(BF),copper chromites(CC)and fer-ric oxide(FO)were varied. Results show that sample(S1)which based on DOS decreases the stress value and increases the strain value which considered to be an excellent start for aging program. Sample(S3)containing AO presents the higher resis-tance to oxidation showing the better performance that reflects on increasing the shelf life of the composite solid propellant mo-tor. Sample(S5)which based on BF enhances the ballistic performance among over the other tested two samples. The accelerat-ed aging program allowed us to estimate the motor in-service lifetime.  相似文献

This paper presents a Vivaldi antenna. The antenna incorporates a slot-line feed, and is designed to operate in a wideband mode, along with four narrowband modes. The wideband mode extends from 1 to 3 GHz. A series of PIN diode switches is employed to reconfigure between the five different operating modes. Wideband-to-multiband reconfigurations are achieved by adjusting the antenna loading internally, and also by the incorporation of band-stop filters. To obtain the wideband mode, wideband matches load is used. On the other hand, to obtain the narrowband modes, two rectangular slits with narrowband matches load are used. The proposed Vivaldi antenna provides wideband operation. It is also supports operation within the LTE, GSM (L-band), GPS, and WiMAX bands.  相似文献

Latterly, reduction of power loss in distribution system is the objective of many researches due to its impact on total costs and voltage profiles. It can be handled by optimal restructure of radial distribution system (RDS). This article introduces an innovative approach to restructure of RDS by electing the optimal switches combination subject to the system operating constraints, which is improved whale optimization approach (IWOA). The suggested approach combines exploitation of WOA with exploration of differential evolution (DE), and thus, it supplies a promising candidate solution. The suggested approach is tested on IEEE 33 and 69 bus RDS. The superiority of the suggested approach compared with other well‐known approaches is verified through simulation results by observation of total losses, cost, and saving. Also, the impact of alterable loading is investigated to prove the effectiveness of the suggested IWOA.  相似文献

Everyday humans use cars to move faster, and the world is a chaotic place, and a little distraction or a mistake could be the reason for an accident and bring people great pain. An assistance system that can distinguish and detect signs on the roads and brings the driver's attention to road signs and make them aware of their meaning could be beneficial. The most important part of the Traffic Sign Recognition System is the algorithm. In this paper, a new way toward Traffic Sign Recognition algorithm taking the advantages of Color Segmentation, support vector machines, and histograms of oriented gradients on the GTSRB dataset is proposed. The unsupervised shuffled frog-leaping algorithm is employed for segmenting the images. The results show remarkable improvements by using meta-heuristic algorithms.

Malignant melanoma is a lethal skin cancer containing melanoma-initiating cells (MIC) implicated in tumorigenesis, invasion, and drug resistance, and is characterized by the elevated expression of stem cell markers, including CD133. The siRNA knockdown of CD133 enhances apoptosis induced by the MEK inhibitor trametinib in melanoma cells. This study investigates the underlying mechanisms of CD133’s anti-apoptotic activity in patient-derived BAKP and POT cells, harboring difficult-to-treat NRASQ61K and NRASQ61R drivers, after CRISPR-Cas9 CD133 knockout or Dox-inducible expression of CD133. MACS-sorted CD133(+) BAKP cells were conditionally reprogrammed to derive BAKR cells with sustained CD133 expression and MIC features. Compared to BAKP, CD133(+) BAKR exhibit increased cell survival and reduced apoptosis in response to trametinib or the chemotherapeutic dacarbazine (DTIC). CRISPR-Cas9-mediated CD133 knockout in BAKR cells (BAKR-KO) re-sensitized cells to trametinib. CD133 knockout in BAKP and POT cells increased trametinib-induced apoptosis by reducing anti-apoptotic BCL-xL, p-AKT, and p-BAD and increasing pro-apoptotic BAX. Conversely, Dox-induced CD133 expression diminished apoptosis in both trametinib-treated cell lines, coincident with elevated p-AKT, p-BAD, BCL-2, and BCL-xL and decreased activation of BAX and caspases-3 and -9. AKT1/2 siRNA knockdown or inhibition of BCL-2 family members with navitoclax (ABT-263) in BAKP-KO cells further enhanced caspase-mediated apoptotic PARP cleavage. CD133 may therefore activate a survival pathway where (1) increased AKT phosphorylation and activation induces (2) BAD phosphorylation and inactivation, (3) decreases BAX activation, and (4) reduces caspases-3 and -9 activity and caspase-mediated PARP cleavage, leading to apoptosis suppression and drug resistance in melanoma. Targeting nodes of the CD133, AKT, or BCL-2 survival pathways with trametinib highlights the potential for combination therapies for NRAS-mutant melanoma stem cells for the development of more effective treatments for patients with high-risk melanoma.  相似文献
