Ion selective electrodes were used to measure the activity coefficients of individual ions at 298.2 K in aqueous solutions of KF, KBr and NaF up to 3, 2 and 1 molal, respectively. The mean ionic activity coefficients of the electrolytes obtained from the values of individual ions show good agreement with values reported in the literature. The experimental results confirm that the activity coefficients are different for the anion and the cation in an aqueous solution of a single electrolyte. It is also confirmed that the deviation from ideality for each ion depends on its counterion. The Khoshkbarchi—Vera equation was used to correlate the experimental data. 相似文献

Power transformer outages have a considerable economic impact on the operation of an electrical network. One of the most important parameters governing a transformer?s life expectancy is the hot-spot temperature (HST) value. The classical approach has been to consider the HST as the sum of the ambient temperature, the top-oil temperature rise and the hot-spot-to-top-oil temperature gradient. Temperature distribution is solved using the heat conduction equation. Finite element method is used in the numerical solution. The transformer selected for simulation is 32 MVA transformer with non-directed oil-forced cooling and directed oil-forced cooling. Comparing the results with those obtained from finite integral transform and experimental test checks the validity and accuracy of the proposed method. 相似文献

Abstract The formation of condensate banking in the near well-bore region will lead to the reduction in gas relative permeability and loss of well deliverability. This loss is investigated by conducting a series of fine grid numerical compositional simulation with the gas condensate and dry gas reservoir data. Also, a method for calculation of condensate blockage skin factor is introduced in which the skin factor is calculated using dry gas and gas condensate simulation production data. The authors also found that absolute permeability and pressure drawdown of the producing well have significant influence on the well gas deliverability and condensate blockage skin factor. 相似文献

Insulin resistance is the central defect in type 2 diabetes and obesity. During the development of insulin resistance a lipid
accumulation is accompanied by increased PTP-1B expression in the muscle. The aim of this study was to examine the effects
of PTP-1B knockdown on insulin signaling and insulin resistance in the presence or absence of palmitate in C2C12 skeletal
muscle cells. A stable C2C12 cell line was established using short hairpin RNA (shRNA) to knockdown protein expression of
PTP1B. Analysis of PTP-1B protein expression and phosphorylation and protein levels of IRS-1 and Akt were detected by western
blot. The effects of PTP-1B knockdown on the glucose uptake was also measured in C2C12 cells. The stable C2C12 cell line harboring
the PTP-1B shRNA showed 62% decrease in the PTP-1B protein levels. 0.5 mM palmitate significantly induced insulin resistance
in both control (26%) and PTP-1B knockdown cells (16.5%) compared to the untreated cells. Under treatment with palmitate,
insulin stimulated phosphorylation of IRS-1 (Tyr632) and Akt (Ser473) in knockdown cells was significantly 1.55- and 1.86-fold,
respectively, greater than the controls. In the presence of palmitate, insulin dependent glucose uptake was significantly
about 3-fold higher in PTP-1B knockdown stable C2C12 cells compared to the control cells. Our data showed that decreasing
the PTP-1B protein level by shRNA can enhance the activity of important elements of insulin signaling. The improvement in
insulin action persisted even in palmitate treated insulin resistant myotubes. 相似文献

In this study, the values of the surface tension for a number of single aqueous electrolyte solutions were measured at various temperatures and electrolyte concentrations using the well-known and computer-aided pendant-drop method. In order to conduct the experimental measurements, a high-pressure IFT-700 apparatus, equipped with a view cell and a data acquisition system, was used. The systems studied in this study were aqueous solutions of KCl, NaCl, CaCl2, and Na2SO4. The pooled standard deviation and the confidence limit of the surface-tension data for a 95 % confidence level were determined to be 0.17 mN · m?1 and ${\bar{\sigma} \pm 0.19}$ , respectively. It should be noted that while the surface tension for electrolyte solutions increases as the electrolyte concentration increases, it decreases with an increase in temperature as expected. Finally, data reduction was carried out using an empirical equation to show the effect of temperature, electrolyte concentration, and the nature of ionic species on the surface tension for the systems studied. 相似文献
