Results are presented in a statistical arrangement for studying the effect of loading frequency on the fatigue life in bending of plates with a stress concentrator. The nature of change in microhardness, electrical conductivity, dislocation density, and block dimensions during fatigue at frequencies of 2.8, 8.8, and 18 kHz has been demonstrated. A procedure and specially developed equipment are described for performing fatigue tests at frequencies of 180 Hz, 2.8, 8.8, 17.6, and 44 kHz and with random loading. It is shown that with an increase in loading frequency the cyclic endurance of the test materials increases. The nature of the occurrence of the fatigue process is traced from the change in dislocation density, sizes of blocks, macrostresses, microhardness, and electrical conductivity.
