Micronized natural zircon sand powders were used as a raw material to conduct low-pressure powder injection moulding (LPPIM) processes. PIM could lead to new technological applications for this mineral, which has very stable dimensional behaviour with changing temperature. Zircon powders that have unconventional attributes for PIM (in terms of size and morphology) were mixed with poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) based binders. Combinations of this water-soluble substance with different polymers, including low-density polyethylene (LDPE) and several types of acetate butyrate celluloses (CAB), were investigated. The influence of acetyl, butyryl and hydroxyl groups on the behaviour of the created feedstocks at different process stages and on the final piece properties were studied. The higher affinity of CAB with PEG and zircon powders compared with LDPE could result in improved densification and properties, but the butyryl, acetyl and hydroxyls groups affect the processability of these feedstocks.  相似文献

The aim of this work is to fabricate bronze components by metal injection moulding (MIM) studying the possibility of changing partially or totally the gas atomised powder by water atomised ones that are cheaper than the former. In order to carry out this study, a bronze 90/10 gas atomised spherical powder (usual MIM powder <22 μm) and two water atomised irregular powders (particle size <35 μm and <140 μm) were mixed in different proportions. As received powders and their mixtures were used to fabricate feedstocks and processed by MIM to evaluate the influence of powder particle size and morphology on debinding and sintering stages. Finally, both mechanical properties hardness and maximum flexural stress were determined to characterize the sintered materials. The addition of irregular fine and coarse powders was found to affect the moulding process, although densities and mechanical properties close to values of gas atomised one were obtained after sintering. Therefore, the use of water atomised bronze powders could be a promising way to diminish production costs in this technology.  相似文献

Abstract

In recent years, many efforts have been made to obtain more environmentally acceptable powder injection moulding processes. In this sense, the purpose of this study is to optimise an eco-binder based on polyethylene glycol (PEG) as a water soluble component and cellulose acetate butyrate (CAB) as a natural backbone polymer derived from cellulose for powder injection moulding of zirconium silicate powders until a solvent debinding stage. Four different feedstocks have been investigated. As well as, a volume fraction of PEG and CAB 70/30 (vol.-%) and a solid loading of 57·5 (vol.-%) were maintained, molecular weights of polymers were combined in order to minimize distortion during binder solvent extraction. Water solvent debinding was carried out at three temperatures stepwise during 5 h. As a result, efficient removal of the PEG as well as free defects samples were obtained after solvent debinding for binder systems based on low molecular weight of PEG.  相似文献

The addition of organo-modified silica particles (OSP) to organic monolayer coatings has been investigated as an alternative to the use of primers or surface pretreatments in galvanised steel substrates. A commercial additive consisting of trifunctional organosilane (alkyl-triethoxysilane) grafted on silica particles was directly incorporated at different concentrations (1, 2.5, 3.5 and 4.5 wt%) as an integral additive in a polyester powder coating. The OSP were characterised physicochemically by means of FTIR and TGA, and the coating formulated by DSC. The anticorrosive properties of the systems were evaluated by means of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), showing improvements with all the formulations containing the OSP, especially in the coating with 2.5% OSP. In order to explain this behaviour, morphological (using SEM) and adhesion studies were done. The formation of agglomerates in the powder coatings was detected when the concentration was over 2.5%. There was an improvement in the adhesion of the coating to the substrate for all the samples containing the OSP but especially for that containing 2.5%. The impact resistance was increased too, especially in the formulations with 2.5% and 3.5%.  相似文献

This paper proposes a hybrid learning of artificial neural network (ANN) with the nondominated sorting genetic algorithm-II (NSGAII) to improve accuracy in order to predict the exhaust emissions of a four stroke spark ignition (SI) engine. In the proposed approach, the genetic algorithm (GA) determines initial weights of local linear model tree (LOLIMOT) neural networks. A multi-objective optimization problem is determined. A sensitivity analysis is performed on NSGA-II parameters in order to provide better solutions along the optimal Pareto front. Then, a fuzzy decision maker and the technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) are employed to select compromised solutions among the obtained Pareto solutions. The LOLIMOT-GA responses are compared with the provided by radial basis function (RBF) and multilayer perceptron (MLP) neural networks in terms of correlation coefficient R 2.  相似文献

Cancer is a serious health problem with a high mortality rate worldwide. Given the relevance of mitochondria in numerous physiological and pathological mechanisms, such as adenosine triphosphate (ATP) synthesis, apoptosis, metabolism, cancer progression and drug resistance, mitochondrial genome (mtDNA) analysis has become of great interest in the study of human diseases, including cancer. To date, a high number of variants and mutations have been identified in different types of tumors, which coexist with normal alleles, a phenomenon named heteroplasmy. This mechanism is considered an intermediate state between the fixation or elimination of the acquired mutations. It is suggested that mutations, which confer adaptive advantages to tumor growth and invasion, are enriched in malignant cells. Notably, many recent studies have reported a heteroplasmy-shifting phenomenon as a potential shaper in tumor progression and treatment response, and we suggest that each cancer type also has a unique mitochondrial heteroplasmy-shifting profile. So far, a plethora of data evidencing correlations among heteroplasmy and cancer-related phenotypes are available, but still, not authentic demonstrations, and whether the heteroplasmy or the variation in mtDNA copy number (mtCNV) in cancer are cause or consequence remained unknown. Further studies are needed to support these findings and decipher their clinical implications and impact in the field of drug discovery aimed at treating human cancer.  相似文献

The current pressure on the built historical heritage requires a global evaluation to develop strategies for its preservation. A combined vision of the state of conservation of architectural heritage is essential to highlight the vulnerabilities of the structure from which harmonized measures can be proposed for its mitigation.This study proposes a multi-criteria analysis methodology that considers a qualitative and quantitative approach to organize the global conservation state of heritage buildings hierarchically. A global index can be determined on the basis of the generation of an interoperable data matrix by defining a set of indicators to assess different components of a building. This index describes the risk with respect to the stability, safety, and habitability of the building.This methodology aims to achieve the state of the building in an integral way by obtaining a simple and objective index that enables efficient comparison among different buildings. The application of this methodology to a historic area allows creating a hierarchical map of risk to stablish priorities for intervention and enable a sustainable and critical management and planning over the actions of maintenance, conservation, and restoration. In this way, a holistic vision of the complex reality of built heritage and the urban landscape is obtained to identify critical areas of priority intervention.  相似文献

The corrosion protection behaviour of organic–inorganic hybrid thin films on AZ31 and AZ61 magnesium alloy substrates has been studied. These films were prepared by a sol–gel dip-coating method. The organopolysiloxane precursors were γ-methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane (MAPTMS) and tetramethoxysilane (TMOS). An attempt was made to determine the possible relationships between the degradation of the sol–gel film and composition of the metal substrate during the exposure of the metal/coating system to 0.6 M NaCl aqueous solutions. For this purpose electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and hydrogen evolution measurements were applied. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), atomic force microscopy (AFM) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) analyses revealed that the sol–gel films formed on the surface of AZ61 alloy were far more perfect and uniform than those formed on the AZ31 alloy. This behaviour was attributed to the effect of the native oxide film initially present on the surface of the AZ61 alloy, which inhibited the attack of magnesium. Results indicated that the sol–gel coated AZ61 substrate tended to develop corrosion products slower than the sol–gel coated AZ31 substrate, trend that could change by prolonging exposure time. After 6 days of immersion, a clear inhibitive effect of the corrosion products formed during the test was observed in the case of the sol–gel coated AZ31, but not with the coated AZ61 alloy substrate, a phenomenon explained by the carbonate enrichment observed by XPS.  相似文献

The effects of LY117018-HCl (LY; a benzothiophene similar to raloxifene) were examined on various reproductive parameters in female rats. Four-day cyclic rats were treated (10:00 h on dioestrus) with LY (0.01, 0.1, 0.5, 1, 2, 4 or 16 mg kg(-1) p.o.) and assessed for ovulation at oestrus. LY inhibited ovulation at doses as low as 0.5 mg kg(-1), and ovulation did not occur at doses of 4 and 16 mg kg(-1). LY (16 mg kg(-1)) reduced wet uterine mass and LH concentrations at the time of the expected ovulatory surge. Ovulation induced by hCG in pentobarbital-treated rats was not altered by LY treatment, indicating normal ovarian sensitivity to gonadotrophins. LY, however, completely blocked the effects of oestradiol (under either negative or positive feedback modes) on LH secretion in ovariectomized rats. GnRH secretion into hypophyseal portal blood during pro-oestrus was not affected by treatment with LY, whereas the concentrations of serum LH remained reduced. Finally, treatment with LY markedly reduced pituitary sensitivity to GnRH during pro-oestrus, as it completely blocked GnRH-induced LH secretion. These results demonstrate that LY inhibits oestradiol action in the uterus and prevents ovulation in normal cyclic rats. LY-induced inhibition of ovulation is not caused by an alteration of the ovarian response to gonadotrophins or an impairment of GnRH secretion at the hypothalamus, but by a reduction in the sensitivity of gonadotrophs to the stimulatory effects of GnRH during pro-oestrus.  相似文献
