Selective harmonic elimination(SHE) in multilevel inverters is an intricate optimization problem that involves a set of nonlinear transcendental equations which have multiple local minima. A new advanced objective function with proper weighting is proposed and also its efficiency is compared with the objective function which is more similar to the proposed one. To enhance the ability of the SHE in eliminating high number of selected harmonics, at each level of the output voltage, one slot is created. The SHE problem is solved by imperialist competitive algorithm(ICA). The conventional SHE methods cannot eliminate the selected harmonics and satisfy the fundamental component in some ranges of modulation indexes. So, to surmount the SHE defect, a DC-DC converter is applied. Theoretical results are substantiated by simulations and experimental results for a 9-level multilevel inverter. The obtained results illustrate that the proposed method successfully minimizes a large number of identified harmonics which consequences very low total harmonic distortion of output voltage.  相似文献

In this paper, the effects of weathering on durability and deformability properties for three different types of granitoid rocks were investigated. Five weathering grades ranging from fresh to completely weathered rocks were considered for each rock type. Deformability has been evaluated based on failure strain, tangent and secant modulus. For measuring these parameters, at least five uniaxial compressive strength tests with axial strain recorded were conducted on each weathering grade. To assess the weathering effect on the durability behavior of these rocks, a slake durability test was performed up to 40 cycles. The obtained results indicated that uniaxial compressive strength and elastic modulus dramatically decrease with increasing weathering grade. After moderately weathering grade, remarkable damage was observed in the structure and fabric of considered rocks. The results from slake durability tests showed that the slake durability index for each weathering grade has a certain changes trend which can be used in determination of the weathering grade and the long-term durability assessment. Moreover, the results showed that for evaluation of the long-term durability of the mentioned rock types, at least eight cycles should be considered, while two cycles were sufficient for estimation of weathering grade.  相似文献

This paper proposes a three stage technique for detection of premature ventricular contraction (PVC) from normal beats and other heart diseases. This method includes a denoising module, a feature extraction module and a classification module. In the first module we investigate the application of stationary wavelet transform (SWT) for noise reduction of the electrocardiogram (ECG) signals. The feature extraction module extracts 10 ECG morphological features and one timing interval feature. Then a number of multilayer perceptron (MLP) neural networks with different number of layers and nine training algorithms are designed. The performances of the networks for speed of convergence and accuracy classifications are evaluated for seven files from the MIT–BIH arrhythmia database. Among the different training algorithms, the resilient back-propagation (RP) algorithm illustrated the best convergence rate and the Levenberg–Marquardt (LM) algorithm achieved the best overall detection accuracy.  相似文献

60NiTi is gaining recognition as an alternative to 440C steel in ball bearing components due to its intrinsic corrosion resistance and unusually high static load capacity. 440C steel and 60NiTi exhibit comparable Rockwell hardness and would be expected to exhibit similar sliding wear behavior using hardness based models. However, results show that under unlubricated sliding conditions, 60NiTi shows inferior wear properties than 440C steel. In this study, a series of indentation and single pass scratching experiments are conducted to elucidate the reasons behind this unexpected observation. Moreover, sliding wear tests carried out under moderate and extreme tensile stress conditions were used to identify sliding conditions under which these materials exhibit similar and dissimilar behavior. The results show that 440C steel exhibits more microscopic plasticity than 60NiTi, halting the propagation of generated tensile microcracks. In contrast, the intrinsic brittleness of 60NiTi leads to the formation and growth of microcracks between the shear bands causing subsequent wear particle generation. These lead to the occurrence of wear through more aggressive abrasion processes in 60NiTi than 440C steel. These findings help explain why 60NiTi performs well when lubricated. 60NiTi is expected to tolerate ~912?MPa tensile stress before yielding. Under good lubricated conditions where a perfect lubricating film is formed, friction induced tensile stresses fall below the tensile strength of 60NiTi and wear is prevented. However, inadequate lubrication combined with high contact stress leads to damage and wear.  相似文献

Poly(sodium acrylate) (PNaA) based nanocomposites were synthesized using different nanosilver loadings via redox solution polymerization at room temperature and under full exposure to the atmosphere. The nanocomposites exhibited increasing antibacterial activity with increased nanosilver content. Biocompatibility was determined using an MTT assay; no significant cytotoxicity was observed at the examined nanosilver loadings. Adhesion was measured using a tensile test and the stress versus strain curve showed an acceptable stress development in the model tissue using bioadhesive containing 2 wt% nanosilver. Introducing a second, more degradable polymer to the system as an interpenetrating polymer network enabled tuning the bioadhesive degradation rate.  相似文献

Air-cored axial-flux permanent-magnet synchronous generators (AFPMSGs) are potential candidates for gearless direct-coupled wind turbines (DCWTs) owing to providing high efficiency and power density. The design of a DCWT generator is so complicated since the generator cost, dimension, and weight affected by gear elimination. Therefore, it is essential to find an optimal AFPMSG design at rated conditions. In this paper, an accurate procedure for the optimal design of an air-cored AFPMSG applicable for DCWTs is proposed. The genetic algorithm (GA) is used for multi-objective design optimization to reach the optimal configuration as well as system dimension in order to decrease the weight, increase the power density and enhance the effectiveness of the generator. To validate the efficiency of the suggested optimization proceducer, a 30 kW AFPMSG has been considered as a case study. The results of optimization have been investigated by finite element analysis (FEA). A prototype generator is also fabricated, and the test results are offered and compared with the numerical study. The outcomes show that there exists an acceptable agreement between FEA and experimental outcomes with the error percentage about of 1.35%.  相似文献

Automatic recognition of the communication signals plays an important role for various applications. This paper presents a novel intelligent system for recognition of digital communication signals. This system includes three main modules: feature extraction module, classifier module and optimization module. In the feature extraction module, multi-resolution wavelet analysis is proposed for extraction the suitable features. In the classifier module, a multi-class support vector machine (SVM) based classifier is proposed as the multi-class classifier. For optimization module, a particle swarm optimization algorithm is proposed to improve the generalization performance of the recognizer. In this module, it is optimized the SVM classifier design by searching for the best value of the parameters that tune its discriminant function, and upstream by looking for the best subset of features that feed the classifier. Simulation results show that the proposed hybrid intelligent system has high performance even at very low signal to noise ratios (SNRs).  相似文献

Polymer/clay nanocomposites have some unique properties due to combination of flame resistance and improved mechanical and thermal stability properties which are important to enhance the material quality and performance. The objective of this work was to investigate the effect of organically modified montmorillonite (org‐MMT) on the thermal and flame retardant as well as hardness and mechanical properties of the nanocomposites based on the natural rubber (NR). It was shown that by the addition of 3 wt % of org‐MMT to NR, its aging hardness rise was decreased more than 55% and the ignition time was delayed about 150%. The reduction in heat release rate peak value was equal to 54% compared to the pristine NR. Addition of org‐MMT improved the thermal stability of the NR. Furthermore, nanocomposites which were calendared before curing showed much more thermal stability and fire resistance than those which contained similar amount of organoclay. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Polystyrene nanocomposite with mixed free and anchored chains was synthesized by atom transfer radical polymerization. Attachment of 3‐(trimethoxysilyl)propyl methacrylate with a double bond on the nanoporous silica aerogel surface results in a double bond grafted silica aerogel which could be incorporated into the polystyrene chains by a grafting‐through process. Conversion and molecular weight evaluation was carried out using gas chromatography and gel permeation chromatography, respectively. Double bond containing silica aerogel has an inconsiderable effect on conversion. There is no considerable discrepancy between the molecular weights of the free and anchored chains. Addition of silica aerogel with pendant CC bonds leads to increase of apparent rate constant of polymerization and also molecular weights. This is mainly because of initiator trapping in silica aerogel pores. Every percent of double bond containing silica aerogel with respect to styrene results in trapping of about 0.08 mol of ethyl alpha‐bromoisobutyrate among the silica pores. POLYM.
