A new sensorless scheme for high-performance speed control of permanent-magnet ac motors (PMACMs) driving an unknown load is proposed. This scheme uses an extended nonlinear reduced-order observer to estimate the induced electromotive force (EMF) and load torque. From the estimated variables, the rotor position, the rotor speed, and the position derivative of flux are calculated and are used to close the control loop. In order to improve the drive performance, the estimated load torque is incorporated as a feedforward signal in the closed control loop. In addition, the proposed sensorless PMACM drive allows the torque-ripple and copper-loss minimization for motors with an arbitrary EMF waveform. Simulation and experimental results to validate the proposal are presented in this paper.  相似文献

Electrospray ionization broadband FTICR mass spectrometry at a mass resolving power, m/delta m50% > or = 400,000 has achieved the first direct mass spectral resolution of phosphorylated and sulfated peptides (or nucleotides) of the same nominal mass. The elemental composition difference in each case is PH versus S (9.5 mDa), requiring a minimum mass resolving power ((m2 - m1)/ml) of 118,000 (C terminal amidated cholecystekinin fragment 26-33 (CCK-8), DY(PO3H2)MGWMDF-NH2 versus DY(SO3H)MGWMDF-NH2) or 65,400 (adenosine triphosphate vs 3-phosphoadenosine 5'-phosphosulfate). The isobaric mass doublets were detected in broadband mode (400 < m/z <1400) in the presence of dozens of other species. It is therefore now possible to distinguish phosphorylated from sulfated peptides, even when both species are present at the same time in a protein digest.  相似文献

MALDI‐TOF protein profiling analysis permits the detection of peptides and small proteins in complex protein mixtures with great accuracy. We applied this analysis to cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) from 15 patients affected by Creutzfeldt‐Jakob disease (CJD). We compared the levels of the normalized ion signals of 11 sporadic and 4 genetic CJD forms with those from ten healthy control subjects and eight non‐CJD relapsing‐remitting multiple sclerosis patients. In so doing, we detected 61 differentially expressed ion signals in CJD samples compared to controls. Among the 61 signals, 3 signals had significantly increased levels with high statistical significance (p <0.0001) and were located at 3238.3 m/z, 4963.7 m/z, and 8565.3 m/z. We characterized the 5.0 and 8.6 kDa proteins as thymosin β4 N‐acetylated and free ubiquitin, respectively, while the 3.2‐kDa peptide remained uncharacterized. Although elevated ubiquitin levels have previously been described in CJD, we have demonstrated for the first time the involvement of thymosin β4 in a neurodegenerative disease. To support the validity of thymosin β4 levels obtained by MALDI‐TOF analysis, an independent enzyme immunoassay analysis was performed. Moreover, a validation cohort consisting of CSF from three CJD patients, five healthy subjects, and six non‐CJD relapsing‐remitting multiple sclerosis patients was analyzed in a similar way, yielding superimposable results. We propose that thymosin β4 is a potential new candidate marker for the ante mortem diagnosis of CJD disease.  相似文献

In this work, a multi-domain model of the stator core of an electric machine is presented. Its electromagnetic behavior and the thermal dynamics are represented using Bond Graph. This approach makes apparent the topology of the machine and the energy exchange. This feature enables the model for the easy representation of faults and analysis of their consequences in the thermal/magnetic/electric domain. The proposed model is used for reproducing the behavior of the stator core during an inter-laminar insulation test. The model is capable to reproduce the thermal distribution when a fault in the stator core occurs. This contribution helps to estimate the additional iron losses due to the stator core fault based on the thermal distribution. Additionally, this methodology could help to define the proper maintenance intervention to be performed on the machine.  相似文献

Resource-conserving agriculture increases yields in developing countries   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3  
Despite great recent progress, hunger and poverty remain widespread and agriculturally driven environmental damage is widely prevalent. The idea of agricultural sustainability centers on the need to develop technologies and practices that do not have adverse effects on environmental goods and services, and that lead to improvements in food productivity. Here we show the extent to which 286 recent interventions in 57 poor countries covering 37 M ha (3% of the cultivated area in developing countries) have increased productivity on 12.6 M farms while improving the supply of critical environmental services. The average crop yield increase was 79% (geometric mean 64%). All crops showed water use efficiency gains, with the highest improvement in rainfed crops. Potential carbon sequestered amounted to an average of 0.35 t C ha(-1) y(-1). If a quarter of the total area under these farming systems adopted sustainability enhancing practices, we estimate global sequestration could be 0.1 Gt C y(-1). Of projects with pesticide data, 77% resulted in a decline in pesticide use by 71% while yields grew by 42%. Although it is uncertain whether these approaches can meet future food needs, there are grounds for cautious optimism, particularly as poor farm households benefit more from their adoption.  相似文献

The incorporation of fibres into concrete produces important benefits, mainly on the residual load-bearing capacity. These improvements depend on the type, content and orientation of the fibres, being a strong relationship between the number of fibres in the fracture surfaces and the post peak parameters. Although the fibres could be homogeneously distributed after mixing, the casting and compaction processes can significantly affect the fibre distribution and orientation, and consequently the mechanical performance of the material. In the case of Fibre Reinforced Self Compacting Concrete (FR-SCC) the existence of significant flow and wall effects may influence fibre orientation. This paper analyzes the fibre orientation in thin structural elements cast with FR-SCC and its effects on the residual mechanical properties. A slab of 0.90 × 1.80 × 0.09 m, a wall of 0.50 × 2.00 × 0.08 m, and a beam of 0.15 × 0.15 × 2.50 m were selected as representative elements where different concrete flow conditions take place. A strong heterogeneity in the orientation of the fibres was found. The fibre orientation varied with the flow rate and with the wall effect; the thickness of the elements or the proximity to the bottom of the moulds appeared as important variables. It was demonstrated that in thin elements the residual mechanical properties can be quite different when diverse zones and/or directions of the structural elements are considered.  相似文献

Two neural network-based schemes for fault diagnosis and identification on induction motors are presented in this paper. Fault identification is performed using self-organizing maps neural networks. The first scheme uses the information of the motor phase current for feeding the network, in order to perform the diagnosis of load unbalance and shaft misalignment faults. The network is trained using data generated through the simulation of a motor-load system model, which allows including the effects of load unbalance and shaft misalignment. The second scheme is based on the motor’s active and reactive instantaneous powers, in order to detect and diagnose faults whose characteristic frequencies are very close each other, such as broken rotor bars and oscillating loads. This network is trained using data obtained through the experimental measurements. Additional experimental data are later applied to both networks in order to validate the proposal. It is demonstrated that the proposed strategies are able to correctly identify, both unbalanced and misaligned load, as well as broken bars and low-frequency oscillating loads, thus avoiding the need for an expert to perform the task.  相似文献

Analysis of earthworms offers potential for assessing the transfer of organic anthropogenic waste indicators (AWIs) derived from land-applied biosolid or manure to biota. Earthworms and soil samples were collected from three Midwest agricultural fields to measure the presence and potential for transfer of 77 AWIs from land-applied biosolids and livestock manure to earthworms. The sites consisted of a soybean field with no amendments of human or livestock waste (Site 1), a soybean field amended with biosolids from a municipal wastewater treatment plant (Site 2), and a cornfield amended with swine manure (Site 3). The biosolid applied to Site 2 contained a diverse composition of 28 AWls, reflecting the presence of human-use compounds. The swine manure contained 12 AWls, and was dominated by biogenic sterols. Soil and earthworm samples were collected in the spring (about30 days after soil amendment) and fall (140-155 days after soil amendment) at all field sites. Soils from Site 1 contained 21 AWIs and soil from Sites 2 and 3 contained 19 AWls. The AWI profiles at Sites 2 and 3 generally reflected the relative composition of AWls present in waste material applied. There were 20 AWls detected in earthworms from Site 1 (three compounds exceeding concentrations of 1000 microg/kg), 25 AWls in earthworms from Site 2 (seven compounds exceeding concentrations of 1000 microg/ kg), and 21 AWls in earthworms from Site 3 (five compounds exceeding concentrations of 1000 microg/kg). A number of compounds thatwere present in the earthworm tissue were at concentrations less than reporting levels in the corresponding soil samples. The AWIs detected in earthworm tissue from the three field sites included pharmaceuticals, synthetic fragrances, detergent metabolites, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), biogenic sterols, disinfectants, and pesticides, reflecting a wide range of physicochemical properties. For those contaminants detected in earthworm tissue and soil, bioaccumulation factors (BAF) ranged from 0.05 (galaxolide) to 27 (triclosan). This study documents that when AWls are present in source materials that are land applied, such as biosolids and swine manure, AWls can be transferred to earthworms.  相似文献

In this work the photophysics of poly(3-hexylthiophene) nanoparticles (NPs) is investigated in the context of their biological applications. The NPs, made as colloidal suspensions in aqueous buffers, present a distinct absorption band in the low-energy region. On the basis of systematic analysis of absorption and transient absorption (TA) spectra taken under different pH conditions, this band is associated with charge-transfer states generated by the polarization of loosely bound polymer chains and originating from complexes formed with electron-withdrawing species. Importantly, the ground-state depletion of these states upon photoexcitation is active even on microsecond timescales, thus suggesting that they act as precursor states for long-living polarons; this could be beneficial for cellular stimulation. Preliminary transient absorption microscopy results for NPs internalized within the cells reveal the presence of long-living species, further substantiating their relevance in biointerfaces.  相似文献
