In this study, the chemical composition, total phenolic content and antioxidant activity (DPPH, ORAC and FRAP assays) of A. subrufescens and P. ostreatus, cultivated with handmade and commercials supplements, were compared. Additionally, the compounds ergosterol, saccharopine, and hexitol were identified in A. subrufescens by HPLC-MS/MS. The antioxidant compound p-coumaric acid and dihexoses was found in both mushroom species. A. subrufescens presented higher total phenolic content (73.8 ± 0.6 mg GAE 100 g−1) and antioxidant activity than P. ostreatus (16.6 ± 0.5 mg GAE 100 g−1). The handmade supplement based on the waste of noble grains presented statistically similar phenolic content to the mushrooms cultivated with commercial ones Spawn Mate II SE (86.1 ± 1.4 and 92.9 ± 0.3 mg GAE 100 g−1, respectively). Therefore, the results support the use of handmade supplements based on agro-wastes as a viable alternative to the use of high-cost commercial ones. 相似文献

Mercury is a severe environmental pollutant with neurotoxic effects, especially when exposed for long periods. Although there are several evidences regarding mercury toxicity, little is known about inorganic mercury (IHg) species and cerebellum, one of the main targets of mercury associated with the neurological symptomatology of mercurial poisoning. Besides that, the global proteomic profile assessment is a valuable tool to screen possible biomarkers and elucidate molecular targets of mercury neurotoxicity; however, the literature is still scarce. Thus, this study aimed to investigate the effects of long-term exposure to IHg in adult rats’ cerebellum and explore the modulation of the cerebellar proteome associated with biochemical and functional outcomes, providing evidence, in a translational perspective, of new mercury toxicity targets and possible biomarkers. Fifty-four adult rats were exposed to 0.375 mg/kg of HgCl2 or distilled water for 45 days using intragastric gavage. Then, the motor functions were evaluated by rotarod and inclined plane. The cerebellum was collected to quantify mercury levels, to assess the antioxidant activity against peroxyl radicals (ACAPs), the lipid peroxidation (LPO), the proteomic profile, the cell death nature by cytotoxicity and apoptosis, and the Purkinje cells density. The IHg exposure increased mercury levels in the cerebellum, reducing ACAP and increasing LPO. The proteomic approach revealed a total 419 proteins with different statuses of regulation, associated with different biological processes, such as synaptic signaling, energy metabolism and nervous system development, e.g., all these molecular changes are associated with increased cytotoxicity and apoptosis, with a neurodegenerative pattern on Purkinje cells layer and poor motor coordination and balance. In conclusion, all these findings feature a neurodegenerative process triggered by IHg in the cerebellum that culminated into motor functions deficits, which are associated with several molecular features and may be related to the clinical outcomes of people exposed to the toxicant. 相似文献

In this study, we have investigated the stability of the antigenotoxic properties of dried of Lentinula edodes (Berk.) Singer mushroom powder stored at room and at − 20C. Mice were pretreated by gavage for 15 consecutive days with 0.6 mL/day of an aqueous extract of dried L. edodes powder prepared at 60C. On day 15, the mice were intraperitoneally injected with 50 mg/kg N-ethyl-N-nitrosourea (ENU); 3 h later, peripheral blood was withdrawn from the animals and used to evaluate DNA damage using the comet assay. The mice were sacrificed 24 h after the ENU treatment and the bone marrow used to measure the frequency of micronucleated polychromatic erythrocytes. The results indicated that storage at both room temperature and at − 20C significantly reduced the antigenotoxic effects of the mushroom powder. In addition, whereas freshly dried mushroom powder was nongenotoxic, storage of the powder at − 20C resulted in genotoxic activity ( P < 0.05). Taken together, our data indicate that constituents of L. edodes powder are altered during storage, resulting in both genotoxicity and a reduction in antigenotoxicity. 相似文献

Variations in composition, microhardness (in the thermomechanically affected zone) and texture in the tool domain of the dissimilar friction stir weld of AA5083-O and AA6082-T6 alloys were investigated. The contents of the major alloying elements in the weld zones were determined using inductively coupled plasma?atomic emission spectroscopy. It was observed that a slight drop in the content of the alloying elements results from the friction stir welding process with the Mg content being the most affected amongst the major alloying elements in the two alloys. By relating the mass fractions of the major alloying elements in the parent metals of both alloys to those of the stir zone, the relative proportions of the two alloys in the stir zone were estimated with the results showing that at least 60% of the materials in the stir zone are from the retreating side of the weld. It was also revealed that the changes in the hardness profile in the thermomechanically affected zone of the retreating side are predominantly influenced by changes in grain size in that domain. Finally, the investigation further revealed that the texture component in the tool shoulder domain is different from the texture component in the tool pin domain. 相似文献

The well-known benefits of multiple input multiple output (MIMO) wireless communication systems suppose an efficient use of spatial diversity at both the transmitter and receiver. An important and not well-explored path toward improving MIMO system performance using spatial diversity takes into account the interactions among the antennas and the (physical) propagation medium. In this work, spherical harmonics and tensor analysis are originally combined into the problem of MIMO channel modeling and estimation. The use of spherical harmonics allows to represent the antenna radiation patterns in terms of coefficients of an expansion of spatially orthogonal functions, thus decoupling the transmit and receive antenna array responses from the physical propagation medium. Assuming a single-scattering propagation scenario driven by a finite number of specular multipaths, the parallel factor model is used to decompose the spherical modes of the MIMO channel into a sum of rank-one spherical mode tensors, whose dimensions are transmit modes, receive modes, and time. Then, we extend the tensor modeling framework to double scattering channels by resorting to the PARATUCK model that captures the interactions between multiple-scattering clusters. Capitalizing on the structure of these tensor models, we derive tensor-based alternating least squares algorithms for estimating directional MIMO channels in the spherical harmonics domain, from which the directions of arrival and directions of departure are extracted by means of a MUSIC-based method. Simulation results are provided to assess the performance of the proposed algorithms in selected system configurations. Our results also show the impact of the spherical expansion order on the accuracy of DoD/DoA estimates using the proposed algorithms. 相似文献

As JET is developing and testing operational scenarios for higher fusion performance, an increase in pulse disruptivity is being observed. On a deeper analysis, we find that several radiative phenomena play an active role in determining the outcome of the pulse. The analysis is enabled by the use of real-time tomography based on the bolometer diagnostic. Even though plasma tomography is an inverse problem, we use machine learning to train a forward model that provides the radiation profile directly, based on a single matrix multiplication step. This model is used to investigate radiative phenomena including sawtooth crashes, ELMs and MARFE, and their relationship to the radiated power in different regions of interest. In particular, we use real-time tomography to monitor the core region, and to throw an alarm whenever core radiation exceeds a certain threshold. Our results suggest that this measure alone can anticipate a significant fraction of disruptions in the JET baseline scenario. 相似文献
