An Electronic Approach to Materials Design

A molecular orbital approach to materials design has recently made great progress. This approach is based on the electronic structure calculations by the DV-Xα cluster method. In this paper recent progress in this approachis reviewed. In particular     

APPLICATION OF d-ELECTRON ALLOY DESIGN THEORY TO DEVELOPMENT OF HOT CORROSION RESISTANT Ni-BASE SINGLE CRYSTAL SUPERALLOYS——Ⅰ Characterization of Phase Stability

为应用d-电子合金设计理论(或新相分计算法(New PHACOMP))设计发展新型抗热腐蚀单晶高温合金,首先对高Cr抗热腐蚀IN738LC系列合金Ni—16Cr—9.5Al—4.0Ti-8.0Co—0.55Nb—0.06Zr—0.05B—0.47C-Ta—W—Mo(at-％)的相稳定性进行了综合评价得出抑制σ相析出的稳定性临界条件为Mdt<0.991或Mdγ<0.93同时证明这两个临界电子参数具有等价性,可以用Mdt代替Mdγ简化合金设计过程.这一结果可适用于其它高Cr系列抗热腐蚀镍基合金的d-电子合金设计     

Day‐Ahead Global Solar Radiation Forecasting Using Binary Trees and Factor Analysis

A method is proposed for forecasting global solar radiation. The method is based on weather information using binary trees and factor analysis. The feature of this method is that it is possible to use a simple linear forecasting equation. The method has been tested on meteorological and global solar radiation data obtained at several observation sites, and the results show that it is a promising means of maintaining the balance between demand and supply of electric power in power systems of the near future with a large number of photovoltaic systems installed.     

Far Infrared Reflection Spectra of Ba(Zn,Ta)O3-BaZrO3 Dielectric Resonator Material

The dielectric ceramic materiala Ba(Zn_1/3Ta_2/3)O₃–BaZrO₃ has extremely low dielectric loss at microwave frequencies. To investigate the lattice vibrations of Ba(Zn,Ta)O₃ and Ba(Zr, Zn, Ta)O₃ solid solutions, far infrared reflection spectra were measured from 50 to 4000 cm⁻¹ using a Fourier transform infrared spectrometer. These data were analyzed according to the classical dispersion theory. The spectra of Ba(Zn,Ta)O₃ are well fitted by using the 14 resonant modes, and the spectra of Ba(Zr, Zn, Ta)O₃ solid solution are fitted by assuming the normal distribution on resonant frequencies. The damping constant of these materials is discussed, and the values of tan δ calculated from the dispersion parameters agree with the measured values.     

Analysis of water quality in Miharu dam reservoir,Japan, using UAV data

This letter reports on the water quality conditions of the Miharu Dam Reservoir. The water quality conditions appear in near‐infrared (NIR) data collected by an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). Because blue‐green algae occur in summer, the water quality of the small lake will be significantly worse at that time. On the basis of the experimental results for data from the months of July and August obtained using a fuzzy regression model, it is found that the UAV data is useful in assessing the water quality conditions in Lake Sakurako, and that the NIR data is effective in estimating the water surface conditions of the lake, especially caused by the occurrence of blue‐green algae. © 2016 Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan. 高Cr含量镍基高温合金热腐蚀行为研究──I．实验研究

系统研究了合金元素Ｔｉ，Ｔａ和Ｎｂ对合金系统Ｎｉ－１６Ｃｒ－９Ａｌ－２Ｗ－１Ｍｏ－４Ｃｏ－（０～４）Ｔｉ－（０～４）Ｔａ－（０～４）Ｎｂ（ａｔ％）热腐蚀行为的影响。结果表明在一定的成分范围内，实验合金在７５Ｎａ２ＳＯ４＋２５ＮａＣｌ（体积分数）溶盐中的热腐蚀抗力类似于ＩＮ７３８ＬＣ合金。在较高的热腐蚀抗力条件下，合金系列保持了较好的其它性能，这就为开发高性能抗热腐蚀单晶高温合金提供了成分选择的基础。     

ICT Workers and Professional Spirit in the E-Business Era

Because of the ubiquity of information and communication technology (ICT) and ICT-based information systems, ICT workers in business organisations have power, both intentional and unintentional, over people's quality of life. On this point, all of them, not only ICT professionals but also non-professionals or end-users, need to accept responsibility to the public and to have professional spirit in order to make and keep the information society and e-business environment safe and reliable. However, an individual ICT worker is not necessarily a strong existence; he or she is in a complex situation filled with stress and pressure and his or her decisions are sometimes affected by it. Therefore, social and organisational measures to prompt ICT workers to behave in professional spirit are necessary to be taken.     

Changes in Free Amino Acids and Creatine Contents in Yellowtail (Seriola quinqueradiata) Muscle during Ice Storage

Free amino acids (FAA) and creatine contents of white and dark muscles of yellowtail (Seriola quinqueradiata) were measured and compared during ice storage. White muscle contained a large quantity of free histidine (1,160 mg/100g), while an equally large amount of taurine (1,150 mg/100g) was present in the dark muscle. Little change in the levels of most FAA occurred in the white muscle during ice storage for over 40 days but in the dark muscle the levels of almost all FAA except taurine increased significantly over a period of 33 days. Creatine was present in higher concentration in the white than in the dark muscle (510 vs 170 mg/100g), while its level did not change in either muscle during the entire storage period.     

应用d—电子合金设计理论发展新型抗热腐蚀单晶镍基高温合金——Ⅱ合金元素对显微组织和性能的影响

本文系统地研究了Ti,Ta和Nb三个γ′形成元素在抗热腐蚀合金系统Ni-16Cr—9Al-4Co—2W—1Mo—Ti-Ta—Nb(at-％)中的作用该合金系统是根据d-电子合金设计理论和镍基高温合金合金化的特点选出的根据DTA和图象仪分析结果确定了凝固反应温度以及共晶(γ+γ′)体积分数在Ti-Ta—Nb浓度三角形中的等值线分布,与参考合金IN738LC相比较,在所研究的大部分成分范围内,设计合金表现出很低的共晶(γ+γ′)析出(<0.4v-％),较低的凝固范围(<65℃)和较宽的热处理温度范围(>100℃),说明合金具有良好的组织稳定性,单晶铸造性能和热处理工艺性能.经长期时效(900℃/500h)后,无TCP相析出,在很宽的成分范围内,试验合金表现出良好的抗热腐蚀性能(900℃/24h坩埚试验,失重<20mg/cm~2)综合各项结果,给出了可供选择合金成分进行最后单晶生长及力学性能评价的具有较好综合性能的成分范围
